Just wondering if anyone else is having an issue with the wallpapers changing on their own. I have done a couple of full wipes and still nothing seems to stick.

Nope, nothing like that for me.

Let me give you the lowdown:
Today i went to use the News and Weather widget (GenieWidget.apk) on my droid X running rubix, it worked fine, till i went to the graph view/Histogram and clicked on a future point in time, expecting the displayed temperature and humidity to change. they did not, stayed the same consistant start values.
So i tried a different Genie apk, I tried a google built one, a cyanogen one, and the default rubix one... same effect.
So i assumed it was rubix.
Tried it on a stock droid my friend had, exact same effect.
Any ideas? i rememeber from my droid 1 that those values used to change. Is it non-functional on the droid X?
Also experiencing this on my nexus one. It started acting weird after the daylight savings time change. I remember this happening last year. It magically fixed itself then; hopefully it does again this time around...

That's strange. The way android handles time internally shouldn't be effected by that. Must be the way weather.com is supplying the info

Can anyone else report the same problem. Or report there's is working

I am having the same issue here! running fission 2.01 and now on 2.1rc2
same problem here, plus two of my friends. I'm sure it is a server issue. try changing the location to japan, it will work normal. they need to fix this soon, I use it every morning to figure out what to wear.
now I just walk around naked...

Link from CM forums, no solutions yet aside from installing "SnowStorm", which I don't want to do.

The Genie widget is full of suckage and has been since the last update.
Are there any similar alternatives , specifically the news portion ?
Have the same problem on my Nexus and Vibrant. Tried different apks all are broken.....
also looking for a fix or widget replacement app. i am using for both news and weather....
Same problem on my N1, started a thread in the N1 forum for some extra help. Nothing yet.
Cleared Data, reboot, nothing changes.
It suddenly started to work again on my phone. Looks like it magically fixed itself.

A lot of times when I unlock my screen, everything is black except for the dock. Add soon as I interact with the screen, it goes normal again
Anyone else?

Can I get a straight answer about the peek of homescreen before the lockscreen comes up. Any devs know where I can look to fix that fade in animation coming before the lockscreen? Im using widgetlocker and it still happens. Stock 2.3.3 of course. Please help.
It happens even without widget locker. Someone should help him without sending him a link to cm7 or something. He likes his stock rom. I would like to know even though I rarely use stock. The problem is annoying.

I haven't tried but try turning off animations. It's a problem in the lock screen part of the framework and or the animation part.

Tried to no avail. Thank you for defending me and my stock. I think I'll just move back to CM7 i just found stock alot more stable. If anyone finds anything thanks! But I'll just stick to CM7 i guess.
NP. I've read your other posts about this and no one seemed to answer. If I could help u I would but I don't know how.

Ok so i rooted my phone and when i installed a rom every time my screen turns on it shows a bit of static right before it completely turns on this happens on all the romes i try except bionix reloaded for some reason,if anyone can help me outt please do
My Problem Still Exists with All CM7 Based Roms i just hope it wont happen on ICS I found a great rom That does not have this problem with my phone
I think i will keep the Tsugi Rom Because i Really like
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hC8HqBrinBA
at 3 minutes i turn the screen on with no static on Bionix
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YICwp5R_wbM&feature=youtu.be
on MIUI,At the end its in slow motion so you can see
Static? You'd have to try getting a video of it for up to see. Don't know what could be your problem.
Are you talking about a line through the middle of the screen and then you get a full screen? If so that is the "turn on screen animation." Not all roms have this turn on or in them at all. I have never seen or heard of a LCD screen having static. Plus if it was static it would have been on the stock rom and the bionic rom as well

If you are doing reviews and stuff you should probably know what you are talking about. That's the turn off animation @3:00 minutes into the video.

That's what I thought, but he said at 3 minutes there's NO static... so I don't know what he's on about unless it is screen on animation.

i said under the link on the second reply that there is no static and i just put a video where there is the static on the miui rom. sorry if i cant explain myself right, im just trying to show you that on the Bionix rom their is no static and that on the miui rom there is static
And no i am not trying to get people to see my youtube videos, i just think that its the best way to show whats going on with my phone rather then trying to take a pic of when it happens because taking a pic right when it happens would be hard to do
Are you using the stock kernels with the other roms. If so are you using a app for over/under clocking. Are you using a app for a lock screen. These could be the issue. It looks like it is taking a second to load something.

i didnt install any other kernel other then then the stock one that came with miui port of team kang
and on bionix i flashed the Dragon g2x kernel
And no overclocking or lockscreen apps on either roms
I have no clue what the OP is seeing or talking about only thing at 3 minute mark is the crt animation.

He uploaded a new video show what is going on. The first was is with bionic which it does not happen on that rom
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Okay just saw it I see it now. I haven't ever seen that, maybe set the crt animation for power on and see what happens. The only thing I've seen is the screen turn on with no real image just the blacked out screen then after the picture shows up. I can see why'd that could get annoying to some though. Maybe try a different kernel, or mess with voltages if you have SETCPU.

Are you using titanium to restore and apps. When you flash the other roms and before you set up anything does this happen at the beginning. Also are you wiping system, data, delvik, and cashe?
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
I have a similar thing. Not really static but more so the screen lights up and then actually displays the picture. Does it on all roms for me too. I figure it's a hardware thing.

Just flashed the latest RG2x MIUI. I've never used MIUI before so I'm sorta figuring things out as I go, it's quite different from what I'm used to. Anyway I'm trying to use the battstat widget which I have installed but it won't show up in the widget list. This is one of those that doesn't actually have an icon to access any sort of settings, so it doesn't show up anywhere at all except in my application lists. Is there a way to get it running without having to change the launcher? I sort of like the whole MIUI feel and would prefer to keep it for a while.
[EDIT: Randomly showed up this morning. Weird.]
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
You sure you can't find it? All my Widgets always showed up.
Yeah it's just not in there. Except for just reflashing I have done all the normal troubleshooting stuff. Really don't want to reflash either. Maybe someday they will show up in the list.

MIUI Beauty
I have had the same issue before on MIUI. Usually a reboot does the trick. Hopefully this works for you in the future if you need it.
