According some sources, this battery should fit our Galaxy S? Would love to find a shop located in EU to order from.

interesting. according to http://blog.sunpowtech.com/2011/09/05/samsung-hercules-sgh-t989-battery-eb625152va/ this is .5mm bigger than the stock battery. Whether that will cause any trouble with the back cover I'm not sure.. but I'm guessing it will fit without too much trouble.
Can you please share your sources which say it should fit???
1800 is 20% larger than the 1500 stock battery, so if you get around 3hrs display time (as I do with my battery - which i must add is quite old), then you'd get an extra 30 mins display time (and a lot more standby time).
This is a pretty decent increase unlike the 1650ma armani batt (only 10% increase).

What do you think?
I don't trust non branded or B brand batteries.
Just go for an Anker or Momax battery, good quality and about 3x as cheap.
Is there anybody that try the Samsung 1800 mAh battery in a Galaxy S?
Would love to know this too..

Incidently the Samsung link to the EB625152VABSTD battery from the OP is now a 404 ...?!??
The link works fine for me.

I'm keen to know if this battery fits. But (I don't want to be a downer) aren't S2 batteries a different form from S1 batteries, so it's likely not to?

Theres a bunch of different variants of the S2. This is the epic S2 (from US carrier Sprint). Apparatntly the dimensions and some user posts indicate that it is likely to fit.
I think only the Epic 4G S2 uses the 1800mAh batteries. Went to a few samsung mobile phone stores and all of them are selling the 1650mAh battery (same one used on SGSL) If someone could get a link which sells the exact original samsung battery that would be great

stop the suspense!!!!!
heheh. Well here it is. Working absolutely fine so far! . It came with 48% charge so I'm just charging it up now.
As we already know, it is ever so slightly thicker than the standard batt, but it still seems to fit fine with both my original and third party back cover. It is also slightly heavier than the original (enough to be noticable with your bare hands).
Here are some pics.. nothing exciting..

pretty nice my friend. Still it DO looks a quite big with that battery.
Where did you get it from ? how much does it costs?
Congrats my friend.
nice pics man but how about price, delivery time and the most imprtanta battery perfomance? also does it fit only on diamond or on mda compact iv too?
Sweet!
So how's GPS? Any differences?
The fact is that makes phone bigger..but i don't care, because the standby time is bigger than 2 days! The price is 25 euro. A friend of mine bought it for me from London. When i find a reliable web site selling this battery, i'll post it to check this out.
Regarding the gps, i can't answer you right now because it's the third day i own the battery, so i didn't use gps. By the way I'll inform you soon about that.
Check this -> http://www.superetrader.co.uk/replacement-extended-battery-1800mah-for-htc-touch-diamond-p-3518.html
nothing new about the performance?
I found it here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350109840917
I payed on sunday.. monday was dispached with traking number on 1st of april. Now I'm waiting the package.
GPS works with the tinny mod posted also here on XDA... that one with the little square of aluminium foil.
hrmm, if they did one with a flat back i'd be tempted, ...
how much extra weight does it add? i'm using a magnetic car holder at the moment, and wondering if it can cope with the extra weight...
i suppose its too soon, but does it hold its charge as well? whenever i've bought third party batteries for anything, tend to find they seem to loose charge quicker, even with greater capacities
Any more information on this battery? I'm considering buying since it is on the cheap side. Does the Diamond still get warm after extended use?

It is's warming because of the procesor.... means that you have programs or proceses that keep the procesor running. Change your Radio to 1.09.25.23 or the stock one it's advertised as: the best for manny ppl.
During charghing it is normal to be worm at some point, where is almoust full.
And for new info's... my Cameron Sino 1800 battery is in custom now. I will post in a few days (4-5 days) conclusions and pictures.
I bought it from ebay.co.uk and it's been shipped from H.Kong.

Anyway.. GPS will work only with that aluminium square next to camera. But I'm happy...
I payed on 30, departure 1st of april, in custom on 6, and now any hour...the post men.
Package was also with tracking number... nice deal i might say.

I just took the red wrapper off of it and it fit snuggly
In terms of weight, does it change much? I'm thinking about picking up this battery if it's a drop-in replacement.
I just purchased, thanks.
Well, it's certainly cheap so might as well give it a try. I highly doubt it's even close to 1800mAh but hopefully it'll be more than 1300mAh and won't die after 50 cycles.
i wouldnt trust it since it from china, they been known to switch out label
Can you let us know what the battery life is like, compared to your normal battery, please? I am interested, but have heard too many tales of batteries that promise more but in fact deliver less. It would be great if this gave even 25% more over the standard battery!
Here's some independent testing that shows a lot of manufacturers claims aren't always that true:

thanks for the preview pic, on how to modify the battery. I purchased a battery for $5.98 USD! Cant wait to test it out.
Just curious but did you have your internet on the entire time you were doing the test run? I normally turn off my internet and activate it when needed, when I do that battery life for me is about 20 something hours, with mild usage (gaming and phone calling).
any more updates?
I just bought one. I will update you guys when i get it.
I ordered one. Wth for 8 bucks
From my permarooted overclocked HTC G2 with cyanogen 7 nightly via XDA app
I bought one from mugen site and it is awesome althought it is a little bit pricey but i think it worth. I charge it over night. Unplug it at 7 am and carry with me untill 10pm. My wireless was on the whole time. I have 3 email setup as default. Running sense ui so i believe there is some process running at the back ground. I only make about 30 min to 1 hour call. At 10 pm, i still have 35% life.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Well, too expensive
Just received mine. Removing the tab means it'll go into the space but it still won't fit quite right as the battery is slightly too thick for my cover to go back on.
I'll see if I can rectify this =/

Same problem here. If u take the red wrapper off i dont think it matters because the black plastic cheap outlined housing is the problem. I think i wasted 8 bucks

Yeah, I've taken the entire thing apart (piecemealed it together) now and while the cover will fit it still bulges out because the battery itself is a tad too thick.
It was a cheap experiment though so I'm not choked. The lesson here is that Incredible/Evo batteries don't fit our phones =(
Well I purchased an Samsung 1800mAh, hoping that it would fit into my Epic,

Seems that if it's too short you could just glue/wedge a piece of cardboard along the bottom edge. Seems like a pretty good way to get 20% more battery life.

Stock is 5.8mm
Seidio is 6.3mm

the 1800mAh is in the phone, and i dont feel like pullin it out, but its slightly larger then the Seidio battery.

Awesome! Purchasing one today! =)
I’ve been sticking with my Note 2 for years and just waiting until the Note 4 to upgrade. I came always with mixed feelings with the Note series. Loved the great display, superior hardware in the hood and S Pen, but found it was not convenient to carry. I was successfully controlled my desire not to buy a Note 3, because the improvements are minor, but for the Note 4, just regret to read those reviews on it lol.
Already fell in love with this device! Yesterday I received an email from MPJ asking me if I am willing to enter their giveaway for Note 4 extended batteries. They had sent me a free Note 2 4500mah battery for testing before and frankly Note 4 battery life is outstanding and replacement is no need for temporarily, but it definitely can't hurt to enter, so I will post my review as long as they send me a free sample.

Not only does it look ugly, you probably won't be able put on a case with bigger back cover. I would just get a 3220mAh Battery for back up.
I have the 6440mah one. The phone charges under normal use once every 3 days and the display can last over 8 hrs depending on brightness.
How are you doing this? Are you running custom rom/kernal? I have the 8k hyperion and I don't think I can get past more than 30 hours with the same amount of on screen time. I have Stock rom stock kernal rooted with amplify and greenify and almost everything turned off, and it's so frustrating hearing so many people such as yourself talk about being about to for days without charging T.T

Jeje, is because this battery is stored to many stuff. I don´t have my dead S4, only the battery, so it´s abandoned...
From what I can gather there are NO genuine Samsung logo batteries available, they are ALL fakes. The counterfieters read webpages like this to ensure their fake is mistaken for original because that's where the market is.

Don't waste your time. OEM batteries are really old for this phone
Buy a battery that is grade A premium cell
This one was manufactured in 2020
I get 6hrs SOT Heavy usage and 1hr and half of light gaming

Well look at the attached screenshots in this post.
Her OEM Samsung battery for S5 is dated 2019.03.28. That's not too old & perfectly usable.
I also have a third-party S5 battery but they are not as durable as the OEM & their max capacity declines faster after a few months of daily usage AFAIK.

I once had an Anker battery for S3 it's been 2yrs and it still runs like it did when I got it it has about average 5hrs SOT light usage
You have to look at the company
If they cell premium grade a cells than your good to go
In fact I bought my battery for 20$ offering 500 cycles
And 12month warranty if the product hasn't reached your satisfaction
And btw that battery i bought for my s5 was manufactured in 2020 in January
It has the same rectangle protruding like the stock one
Here is my 3rd party battery 20$ from a good company with warranty incase the product didn't work how it was advertised
