[REQ] modded YouTube app so that it allows desktop videos and download - Android Apps and Games

Sick of the app saying not available on mobile, so it would be cool if this was hacked or modded ... also would be good if an instant download button could be added for video file and MP3 file straight from the app

[Q] Android app question

I found a site called appgeyser, where I created an app for Metacafe website. Since my Android 2.1 Tablet PC doesn't supports flash , I was trying to find a way to get metacafe app that plays metacafe videos without flash just like the youtube application. However it looks like the appgeyser application file doesn't have inbuilt flash and it doesn't plays the video files of metacafe in my tablet PC.
Is there any idea on how I could integrate a flash support to an already existing apk file application
convert the videos to html 5 droid can play it then but doing that is beon me, try to google it?

What's the best YouTube downloading app?

I really liked JetVD but it was freezing up my Evo 3D while downloading any YouTube files (the notification bar specifically) and I'm currently using TubeMate.
Are there any others I'm missing?

Yea, that's what I'm using right now.
TubeMate works perfectly for me, but if you insist, there are many other downloading out there in the Market.
But take a look at this, its a modified youtube with download capabilities. Someone add the download button in share video. (I do not own this app, credit goes to the dev I don't know who) uploaded.to/file/7yz54fcy

Best Apps To Have

Every device on XDA has one so why not us, I also own the tombile version but hey its basically the same thing, so i thought i might as well bring it over to our side
I'm going to share some useful applications I have on my GS2.
1.Rotation Locker - It locks your screen to either Portrait or Landscape. Awesome app to have when playing temple run in landscape.
2. Rom ToolBox Pro - ROM Toolbox combines apps like Titanium Backup, Root Explorer, ROM Manager, front changer, and etc. Basically your swiss army knife for a root user.
3. AdFree for Android - I hate annoying ads this app removes most ads in the browser and other apps.
4. MXPlayer - one of the best apps for viewing movies and online content if you dont want to use gallery.
5. ProPlayer Music Player - Awesome music player that support all music formats, built in EQ, allows you to change songs when phone in standby mode by just the volume button
6.Tweetcaster - Great App to use if you tried of twitter. other than that its a social networking app that needs no explanation
7. Amazon App Store - They offer a Free Paid App Of The Day (snag rom toolbox pro off of there this is a must have app) did i mention FREE PAID APP A DAY!!!!!
8. XDA App - No Explanation at all
9. Dolphin browser HD - To me Best web browser on the android market (Plz remember this is an opinion lol)
10. Audio Manager / hide it pro - If you have one of those girlfriends/wife that love going threw your phone (call log, sms, pictures.) This app is perfect for you. lets u hide pictures, videos, applications, messages, and calls in your phone in plain sight.

*NOTE* If you know any unique or useful applications dont be selfish and keep it to yourself, please add them in this thread so I and others on this thread can check them out. Hey you never know who you may help or surprise on this thread
A couple ones I find useful:
Zarchiver - a file manager/explorer program. Makes extracting and keeping track of things a lot easier.
App Garden - Bunch of utilities in one. Calculator, unit conversions, dictionary, etc. Great value and space saver.

Also, not sure of this is really "useful", but if you're a fan of anime, I'd recommend you download Watchwhatanime. It's a free anime streaming app with an extremely wide selection, so you'll more than likely find whatever anime you're into. Especially good if you're into Naruto, Bleach or any other currently running anime that Crunchyroll holds out on. If you don't mind waiting an extra day, the latest episodes are available, as opposed to either waiting a week or paying for a crunchyroll subscription.

Nope. After I hid an app I'd go to the hidden apps section, highlight an app and select unhide but it never reappear in app drawer.

Have you seen the recently updated version? It's much easier. Just pick your anime, select the "episodes" tab, choose your episode and click a streaming link (options available for most of them are videoweed, video44, novamov) all streaming links for that episode contain the same episode. There's just multiple there in case one link is broken.

Does this use the same YouTube API that Falcon Pro for Twitter just implemented into their app? The video player in Falcon and this floating player look awfully the same. Actually, they look exactly the same. The Kobe Bryant video is on Falcon, while the Samsung Galaxy Note II video is your player. I can even control the other video by pressing play on one. When I play the Kobe Bryant one, the Galaxy Note video by MKBHD in your player starts playing. You should check it out, just sayin...
Nice app though!

Link applications together???

Hello, is there a way which allows me to selectively link applications together so I can go to an app to another via the "share" button. For example, in QuickPic application, if I select a video and I tap the share I can find all the ways to share a video but except the one that share the video to the video trimmer app. So it would be quite useful if I can add a shortcut to the QuickPic app which directs me automatically to the video trimmer app so I don't need to relaunch the app in the launcher to do the editing. Any ideas???
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
as far as i know you can't
the quickpic application will send out a intent to the os
the os sees all applications which have the broadcast receivers to receive the intent
hence when you click on share ( the intent ) it is broadcasted to many apps like whatsapp ,mail , the video cutter app etc
you will have to select it everytime
