300+ Flashable fonts - XPERIA X10 Themes and Apps

XDA Member fachadick has a thread in the EVO 4G forum that has over 300 flashable fonts. I didn't bother to read the whole thread and had no confirmation that it would work on my phone/rom but went ahead and gave it a go anyway and it worked like a charm. I now have Sony Sketch font on my phone and all I had to do was flash a file
Check it out and make sure to give him thanks!

Updated 08.19.10 Requires root.
New themes will be added at the bottom of post 2.

The usual disclaimers and garbage go here. Use at your own risk. Beyond that let the fun begin .
And thanks to everyone that contributed in the past, present and future.
If I miss anything or if you would like yours added to the list let me know Im sure its incomplete.

I thought we should migrate all the uploaded themes and place future themes here to simplify finding and sharing themes.
The usual disclaimers and garbage go here. Use at your own risk. I think anything that is posted here should be within the copyleft idea. Google it if you're not sure what that is. If you upload something and want to be proprietary about it, make it very clear. Beyond that let the fun begin .
And thanks to everyone that in the present and in advance.
To anyone uploading themes: Depending on the file size you can upload it as an attachment in your post. Please use this method as places like 4shared and mediafire have limits, etc. Also I figure the easiest standardization of format would be fully rebuilt apks placed in a folder andthe folder zipped. My plan is to make an app that will automate the process of changing themes and I think this way would be the easiest for the end user and the easiest for me to build an app .
BTW if anyone wants to help build the app with me I would really appreciate it as I am still really new to programming.

Thanks gavriel18! I know about zero java - only visual basic at the moment. I could start learning it though...
How do you add these themes to your phone just replace the files or something more in-depth? And I assume backing up what you replace first and also through adb?

thx for your repo.... It's a good idea !!!
Thanks for all the encouragement everyone . Please also thank the people making these themes, it's a tedious task... but worth it.
@HunteronX Let's make learning android a group effort. We have some good mentors on this forum and two heads are always better than one
great thread, to keep it's value keep it up to date, and dated
This thread is really nice ... i got one question though ...
Whats with custom themes and updates? especially when i skin something like Timescape/Mediascape ...
if i use one of the themes here (ok i am already using one ), dont i risk that i overwrite an "updated" file with an old one?
especially if i use some very new firmware like R2BA026
thx in advance for your help guys

no i dont believe it effects the application except for the new theme effect, as only the framework folders are being modified not the source code, hope this helps

[Live Wallpapers] Samsung Fascinate LWPS

I was browsing around the galaxy s section and seen that someone posted that the live wallpapers from the Fascinate are available here http://www.multiupload.com/503TEPBK4J (direct download)
screens of the lwps can be seen here
http://www.androidpolice.com/2010/0...ive-wallpapers-leaked-available-for-download/
(thank you evilkorn for the links)
What I did was:
1. download the file from the above link
2. unzip the file
3. placed the contents of the zip file on the root of the sd
4. i then used root explorer to move the .so lib file to /system/lib
5. after that i used linda file manager to navigate to the root of my sd to the files and installed them with the package installer.
credits to lgkahn in the galaxy s section for posting these.

Yea its a full rom but the point is, the video shows nothing but Go Launcher, and some extra free ram space What does this rom add to the user experience?

Thats the same thing I would like to know.
it looks good, seems like made a lot of tweak. Just like the previous said, the video were showing the review of go launcher ex instead of the importance (like the benchmark). quick response might due to the clean setup.
Anyway i would download it and have a try. thx for sharing cezzarmicu
Hello
I'm am the one who has putted it avaiable.
It's a full rom! The video shows the Launcher, but shows also the avaiable memory of the phone after the first boot!
It isn't on XDA developer because i need to reply to 10 post to be able to post on Development Section!
The rom is very stable, fast and smooth!
My best regards!

This font looks like Sony Sketch EF, it´s also my preferred Android font. Download the ROM and get the font in /system/fonts inside the ZIP. It´s easy to install, and there are lots of threads here and in other forums explaining how to replace Android fonts.
Basically, you need to have the device rooted, and remount /system as writable (adb remount should do it). Then replace DroidSans.ttf, DroidSans-Bold.ttf and DroidSansMono.ttf with the font of your choice in /system/fonts, and reboot. Replace also Clockopia.ttf to change lockscreen clock font.
To make things easier, download Font Changer at Market and follow the instructions.

[CWM][MOD] Missing Indian languages fonts for KitKat / JellyBean / ICS

New File uploaded for KitKat
Instructions
-Download the zip of your desired font
-Boot into recovery
-Make a nandroid backup (Optional)
-Flash the zip
-Reboot
As Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 owner, you may have noticed the curious case of missing fonts for Indian languages in the OS. The truth is that this is like gingerbread and I don't see it being addressed soon. Luckily, Google has started to use Harfbuzz for rendering of complex scripts.
Here is a flashable zip that installs the fonts in the /system/fonts and updates fallback_fonts.xml in /system/etc. Its better than overwriting DroidSansFallback.ttf as it does not break any other glyphs.
This will enable you to read the languages even though rendering is broke for Yuktakshars, Halants etc.
If you want to see Android supporting Indian languages as soon as possible, I request all to star and comment on this issue in Android issue tracker - http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=4153
https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=16315
I have only tested this on my own Google Nexus S i9023 and Nexus 5 running on KitKat[Android 4.4].
[/SIZE]Google has included full rendering support(and fonts) for -
Tamil
Malayalam
Kannada
Bengali
Devnagari / Hindi
Telugu
This zip file has additional fonts for
Punjabi (being my native language)
Nepali
Assamese
Marathi
Gujarati
Oriya
Sindhi
Kashmiri
If you want a language in the pack, provide me font file and I will update the zip. Also if you need to type in your language,I'e found this keyboard to be the best https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kl.ime.oh
BTW Thanks to The Fedora Project for providing Open Source Lohit fonts. Three cheers for them.
Liked the name of the attachment xD

Let me look up on this problem.
Tried on CM7.1 on my Motorola Milestone - not working
Tried on my Motorola Milestone running on 2.3.7 CM7.1
No luck.
This is what i did:
Successfully flashed zip files from Open recovery,
All fonts got installed in /system/fonts directory.
Manually copied extracted fallback_fonts.xml files to /system/etc folder.
let me know if i need to do anything else.
Thanks for your efforts.
Not working on CM7
Flashed it with CWM.
Manually checked if installation went fine.
All fonts are available with same permission and config file is also proper.
But still rendering is not proper.
Let me know if any further details required.
Thx a lot for your efforts!!!
It didn't work on cm7 because there is no fallback.xml file in my system/etc.so after flashing zip the fallback.xml copy in system/etc but it didn't work.

Thanks for pointing this out guys. I suppose old method of flashing DroidSansFallback.ttf would work.
@siffar:
Please guide how to revert the flashed zip file.
I tried replacing Droidsansfallback.ttf with ROJanakannada.ttf, but still it displays your font only (lohith-kannada.ttf).I dont like lohith-kannada.ttf, all alphabets are separate.
suggestion: use ROJanakannada.ttf for kannada. It looks nice and does'nt splits.

[Q] Glorious Overdose v2 - Robot and Stock font links broken

Greetings XDA
First time poster, long time lurker. First, to team Platypus - thx for the great ROM. Up and running with no real issues so far. Now for the "issue". This is my wife's phone and she doesn't like the font. I was attempting to grab either Robot or the Stock font, but it appears both the links from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18966962&postcount=2 no longer have files in "the cloud." Just wondering if those could be reposted/directly sent.
Thanks again for the awesome work guys!
Try one of theses just make sure you do a nandroid backup before hand.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1309557
I was able to download using the wupload links
Sure enough... Darn those equivalence classes!
Tried almost all of them and just chalked it up to having expired in the various lockers. Well, WUpload works for Stock as you pointed out and Fileserve works for Roboto.
I'll keep them handy if anyone else needs them.
The Wupload link for stock font works.
Also, there is a thread with a bunch of FlipFont .apk's somewhere on this forum that has Roboto in it.
To use the FileFront apk's you just extract and put which ever ones you want to use (the thread has pictures of the fonts in the pack http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=894397on your SD and install them -> reboot -> the fonts will show up under settings -> display -> fonts.
Here are the links:

http://hotfile.com/dl/143360640/989e43f/PaulDiddy_FlipFonts.rar.html
EDIT: damn should have read through whole thread. lol oh well now ppl have direct links I guess
