i have a gopad suft tablet from agfaphoto and it have an android os 2.3.1
i want to root it so i can play games like galaxy on fire 2 that requires chainfire3d driver i treid to root my tablet with z4root and one click root with no success

As far as I can tell this device is only sold here in Israel. Even the manufacturer doesn't know of (or admit ) it exists. Agfaphoto's website has nothing on this product and if you do any Google search the only results that show up are on Hebrew sites. Very weird indeed.
And there is no option to update the firmware in Settings->About Device
If anyone else sees this post and knows ANYTHING about this little tablet let us know.

Hi! I have a huge need to root my tablet... It has 2.3.1 Android (I guess that is Gingerbread?). It is M908HC model, if that gives you smth. I tried everything! z4root, SuperOneClick, Gingerbreak (with the adb push, not with apk method; but someone from my local android forum wrote that he tried it with apk file and it didn't work either...). Does anyone have an idea how to root that tablet? Please, I really need that root and I belive that it's possible! If you need some more info about, just let me know. I would be very appreciate for helping me...
Or maybe someone knows where can I find the firmware for Goclevers tablets? I looked on their website and I did't find anything.

But this tutorial is about WOPADi7 tablet, not the Goclever R93. It ain't make a diffrence? Will it work on my tablet? And it won't brick it?
Did you manage to root the R93 ? I'm in the same situation, and I even want to replace that version of Android because I think is a little slower!

A cursory glance through google search brought up your post on this forum and the announcement about the device. I will look further into this for you however my suggestion would be to look at the usual rooting applications such as superoneclick and if the device isn't listed as being support try and contact the applications developer. Short of that I don't really have much else to tell you at this point.
Has anyone had luck with rooting the MID7042. Would love to install google play and flash on this device. Great device but lacking these two items sort bring it down.
Found both apk from a search and they install fine, but close upon opening. Guessing they need superuser permissions.
Its hilarious when I Google "roor android" yer number one hit!!!

Managed to get tablet into recovery mode while plugged in. Any way to root it from there?
Hold volume up button and home button while pressing down power on, released on coby splash screen.

The last post on this thread is from a few weeks ago. I just bought one of these recently, and was really annoyed that it does not come with the Android Market, etc. So far, I have been able to overcome that via a blog post; do a google search for Red7's blog on installing the android market on coby kyros mid7012.
This would allow you at least to have the market. There is also a youtube video shown in that post, which talks about some additional way to get Google Play working, and it also states some people reporting problems with the apk's posted there.

Well this would be my second post here on XDA. I thank those who helped me out on my first post.
But once again, I am in need of help right now. I just got a Coby Kyros MID8042-4 which runs on ICS 4.0.3.
And like all those who complain with Coby devices, there's no Google Play in it.
I tried searching high and low and cant find an exact procedure dedicated for the 8042-4 model.
some say that it requires root, some say that it doesn't. But they're all for other models of Coby.
Can somebody spare me some knowledge on how to root 8042-4 if necessary or if there's a way to get google play running without rooting.
I have once used SuperOneClick on a Kata Minitab7 and it was a success, but i have read on some thread that SuperOneClick
messes up ICS.
Please, I need Google Play... GetJar is useless....

It is a custom ROM that roots the device and gives you Gapps. Just follow the instructions and you should have Gapps in no time

i cant post a pic of the phone as it wont let me..
Now i have tried all the usual rooting apps like towelroot.. kingroot. vroot, root genius. iroot. and non of them are rooting my phone... yes this phone is a Chinese phone Specs are here:
Model Number. ---M_9 but when Connect it says MT6572. (but cant fined my model anywhere)
Android Version. ---5.0.1

Try Framaroot if you haven't already. In my opinion it is one of the best,
OK i bought a phone on ebay and the phone never stops giving me ads from god knows where. and installing games.this is the phone 8GB 5MP QHD MTK6572 Dual Core 5" Android 4.4 Unlocked Mobile Phone Smartphone it doesnt give any make or model. i do have a link to the phone on ebay but this site isnt let me post it becuase i dont have 10 post(sooo frustrating)
I cant find a name for the phone i was told to insall root checker which i did and it says this phone isnt rooted properly.I was then told to try SuperSu that said a binary wasnt install and that supersu could do it. I was then directed to this forum for help with my phone, so here i am trying to sort my phone out.
Any help would be great thanks.
