[Q] GTalk not quite working.. - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've just got my Xoom and it's the HTK55D 3.2.1, US version and I was testing GTalk..
Thing is... I can hear what my friend is talking but he can't hear a thing when I'm talking.
He is on a PC, I'm on the Xoom.. What's that? Limitation or real bug?
I've google this issue and it seems that it isn't just me.. --> https://supportforums.motorola.com/thread/46589
Is there a workaround for that?

Quick update.... When using a headphone the GoogleTalk works fine.. When I remove the headphone the mic stops working...

How to make a Bluetooth Headset work with Skype

I have searched the tornado forum for a answer to this but t no avail. Does anyone have a fix that will allow Skype to use the bluetooth headset? Now some say it is a stack issue but I was wondering then why my Dell Axim x30 with no modifications easily uses the headset. Possibly they use there own stack. Anyway is there an answer or is it useless? Thanks for any help that you can give me, i am headed to england and really wanted to get this to work.
you have to use BTARouter app - works nice, but you have to disable A2DP profile first
Try CeleTask 2.2 which got bluetooth audio function.
Thanks for all the help! bsider where can I find BTAudio Router? I have found a toggle program that does not work and I trie Bluemusic 2.0 but the trial does not work for me so i am not about to buy it. i will look at CELE 2.2 right now.
Thanks
Ok Got BTArouter and it works, but when I have the sound routed to the headset the mic does not work so i cannot talk. Is there a fix for this? Am I missing something? So neither the headset mic or the internal mic works. I am leaving the country soon and would love to get this working.
Thanks

for me MIC works ok with BTArouter and Fring. I'm using SE DS-970 headset, and you?
i am using the new jawbone headset. Could it be that they are not compatible? This skype thing is looking moar and more bogus. I will try with another headset.
Everything has been fixed. Fring was the answer. Thank you for all your help!

Has anyone been able to use Google Talk (video chat) with bluetooth?

The 2.3.4 update enabled video chat in the Google Talk application, but I cant seem to figure out how to use it with Bluetooth. I have checked everywhere and I honestly just cant figure it out. Has anyone been able to get this to work?? If so, how the heck did you do it? If it helps I am using an Icon Jawbone bluetooth headset.
Anyone? I can't be the only person experiencing this problem.
Bump again! I still havent been able to resolve this, so any help is appreciated.
I cannot, neither.
I think it's a issue from the Google Talk.
Its been a while since I updated this thread and I wanted to know if anyone had this working yet. There must be a workaround that sends all audio out via Bluetooth....
Bump! I am still hopefully this will get resolved. Please comment if you know how to do this.
I assume that other audio such as music from apps like Pandora come through your bluetooth. If you can listen to music and games via Bluetooth one would think that it would work on video chat also. I could have swore I did this but it may have been another video chat app like tango or qik.
I'll try later to see if it was in fact GTalk or another app.
Have you searched the Market for bluetooth apps?
https://market.android.com/details?...t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5iZWRvaWcuQlRtb25vIl0. this app will direct sound to bt headset but nor microphone. GTALK should still be usable, as long as the phone is in front of you and not tucked away in the pocket.

Yeah, its crazy actually. All other programs send bluetooth audio through the headset by default as soon as I connect it. It would appear as if Google Talk someone disabled this functionality.

Hmm, that is a good start but really it would need to be two way for it to be practical.
same problem,
but: I dont need video
I tried 3rd party apps with BT support
-FRING
-TALKATONE
Fring: has poor quality, but every call connected succesfully,
Talkatone: call is perfect, but speaker and microphone working both only in 1 from 50x.
Gtalk 2 routing nothing to BT for me
If anyone found or will find any solution for gtalk call via bluetooth headset stable.. please write it.. THX a lot
agreed, this is very frustrating.

[Q] Motorola HX550 + Skype 2.7.0.907. Headphone BT doesn't work microphone

Hi Guys!
I was trying to use my HX550 with Skype but I has a problem. The Skype don't listen the headset's microphone. I did some testing and I believe that this problem is not Skype, but with the android.
I have two Atrix 2: one with 2.3.5 and other with 2.3.6. Doesn't work in both!
When I paired and connect the HX550, I can listen all the sounds of A2, but the microphone doesn't work.
Someone knows how to fix it?!
Thanks guys!
PS.: I don't have a sim card to test calls.

I did a test in my computer and the HX550 works well. Win7 recognized like a headset bluetooth but the A2 recognize like headphone only.
Someone know how to fix it?

[Q - Challenge] Bluetooth configuration

I tried to do it my self but i failed, thought i'd put it as a challenge for someone if its possible or maybe if someone has already done it and maybe willing to share?
I've bought Logitech H600 headphones and it comes with microphone and a Bluetooth usb connector.
The problem i ran into is weird but i bet many of us would have gone through it before or probably somewhere been fixed but as i am not aware of where about thus thought to make a thread here to share with all.
Microphone & headphones works with computer and doesn't have any problem in making calls through skype and other apps using computer.
The real problem is with the phone..
1: The headset works perfectly it does connect with Phone and plays MEDIA files through headphones without any problem.
BUT!
2: it doesn't direct calls even though it has microphone, where i dont understand why would it work on PC and not on phone even though it does have headphones and microphone, is it possible to work things out for this like writing small script or an app to fix this issue some how?
I'd love to know if any of you guys have ran into this and have problem with this and dont want to lose the beloved headset...
Cheers in advance for all those who reply and try to resolve this issue.
still looking.

Tab, utter!, Google now, and wired headphones problem

Hello,
Has anyone had luck using the app utter and wired headphones (no mic) on the tab? I can get the app to work flawlessly with a bt headset, or over speakers, but when I use wired headphones, after the app starts listening I lose all sound. Music, nothing. Problem goes away when I unplug headphones. Tried three different roms, all fresh installs with only the apps required for utter to work.
I have a Galaxy Nexus that doesn't have this problem. I'm starting to think it might be a hardware problem.
Can anyone provide any insight? Or at least tell me if they are having the same issue or not?
Thank you.

The only reason I don't accept that yet is because it works until it asks me to talk and starts listening. Google Now does the same thing. It looks like the audio stream gets confused. With no headphones plugged in, I hear the beep signalling me to start talking. When I use the headphones, I never hear the beep. And again, everything goes back to normal when I unplug the headphones. I can even start the process without headphones, plug headphones in halfway through the tablet talking to me, and hear everything fine, UNTIL it starts listening again.
I don't know much about the software side. Could this be a kernel issue? Being as now I know it's not just the Utter! app, but also Google Now.

I've tried it on espresso, lean kernel, and CM's kernel. I don't get why the audio stream gets muted or changed on the tablet, but it works perfect on my phone.
