I'm putting in code to allow color changes as user wants for background and some text items. I also have a custom array adapter.
When setting the background to say, BLUE, and when they hit the screen to scroll, the whole background goes BLACK while scrolling. This is particularly annoying when the text is BLACK as it disappears.
Do I need to set the background to the color selected in "onItemClick()"?
Thoughts?
TIA,
Roots

Yes. On each item click, you need to implement case switch methods. Similarly compared to basic language, on x= do this etc.....

Thanks Simon, I appreciated the link Works great!
@Mulcahyd "Yes. On each item click, you need to implement case switch methods. Similarly compared to basic language, on x= do this etc."
My question was about scrolling a custom list adapter and the color changing, not how to handle an on-click listener.

Here is the third item on page one of THIS forum, a sticky:
"[ATTN] : Read before posting - Any questions posted here will be MOVED or CLOSED"
So, I don't post questions or problems in "Development", and then, I don't post questions in "Android Software and Hacking General" or they'll be moved or closed?
I sent you a PM about this as it's very confusing.
TIA,

Is there a software to dial down the system color saturation/contrast/curve etc? Thanks for any tip!
You mean changing the whole screen in real-time or just some specific backgrounds?
BTW you should ask these things in the dedicated Q&A forum .
Thread moved.
thanks for moving my thread. I was wondering where it should be.
My question is to change the system contrast/saturation etc once then leave it that way, not real time change. if there's not a software for this, I wonder if there's a registry tweak. thanks!
I don't think so, you can change the screen brightness, that's all .
that sucks. but, thanks.
would really like to edit some of my apps with the first on my list being the phone/dialer activity so that I can remap the left button on the dialer to *86 and not get a force close everytime I use it....can some one help me do this or at least point me in the right direction...I have the dialer looking the way that I want but that button not being functional is bugging the **** out of me. Thanks in advance.
Danny
Edit: I would also like to have some help changing the color of the in and out bubble colors on the stock messaging app since the gold and baby blue don't go with my theme anymore...want like a android green and cobalt blue but when I change them with gimp...the bubbles don't show up the right size I guess gimp doesn't edit .9png files properly

Chainfire3d thread (I cannot post to it due to my post count): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1087427
I love this app and the custom rgb night mode I created. I'm trying to emulate the f.lux settings I'm using on my laptop but I don't see a way to edit "day mode", i.e., the default rgb values that display when night mode is turned off. I'd like to tone down the green just a bit and the blue a bit more than that.
Also, it would be nice if I could enter exact values rather than using a calculator to input <desired value>/255 to get a rough percentage to approximate with the slider.
Does there exist a plugin for either of these things? Thank you.
Not sure if the rules allow for thread bumping, but I've read them and don't see anything, plus it must be better than creating a whole new thread, so ... /bump.
I would PM the developer but he says he does not respond to PM requests for app support.
OK, if this is in the wrong section or something could someone at least tell me?
This wasn't so much a question as an idea... but forgive me if this should be in the Q&A section.
My question, or idea, which is probably not new, is this:
Can a thread be made in the themes section for members to post their screens and then ask other members/devs/themers for their advice on what to add/remove and etc.?
Sort of a "WWXDAD" (What Would XDA Do?)
To elaborate. Let's say I switch my theme to Nex by kgill, and remove all my old widgets and icons to be left with a completely blank home screen. I would then post a screen shot (and lock screen) - blank - and ask "What would you guys do if this were your phone to theme?" With other members maybe linking, referencing, or even providing icons, widget settings, etc. for that persons set up. Maybe a brief tutorial on "how to make this look like that" (e.g. overlapping widgets and weather icons, etc.)
Idk. Just a thought I had. I still have a blank screen with just the forecast on it and have no idea what I want to do with the rest of the space. Instead of being selfish and asking for myself I figured something new could be started to help other people who have that same, um, themer's block.
First off, I am sure this belongs over in the thread in the development section. However, I am unable to ask in that particular thread because I am too new to the game. Please be kind to me and keep the flamming to a low simmer.
I have Weapon 3.0 installed and running smoothly. In fact, I have only 1 complaint, if you can even call it a complaint. when I use the email app (not gmail) the background is white. The accounts / messages are also a shade of white/grey. I can't stand this style. Am I simply missing a very simple step here? I don't see how to switch to the black background, which I prefer.
As an example, if you go into messaging you will see you can switch between the white and black backgrounds.
Thank you in advance for not yelling at me for not having this in the correct thread. As I stated before, the forum rules prevented me from doing so. Also I read quite a bit of the pages on that ROM thread. However, there are over 240 pages. I didn't see anything that jumped out at me.
I was wondering the same thing, I also wanted to know how to get a black google search bar, Im surprised all that work went into the rom and it comes with a white searchbar
There's a fix posted in the G2x themes and apps section
