screen replacement

I tried searching all over googleverse and youtube but not luck on a guide on how to open a G2 to replace a LCD. so this is my last resort at looking for an answer. does anyone have a guide or can tell me that its simple to disassemble the device?

Sadly, I wouldn't think there would be a simple fix to a screen like this, simply because of the hinge, although I could be wrong. What happened to the phone, these things have only been out for like a month.

Maybe OP was doing some durabilitiy test... or he was like his avy and fell off the skateboard crushing it =[

lol no, I was going to buy one off some guy on ebay to fix for my GF but so far no dice on the repair guide.

What do you think about the screen bezel? I'd love to get it off and have it and the batt cover anodized.

Sadly karma has stricken me for posting in this thread I assume. I had a Zagg Invisibleshield installed, and the "solution" got underneath my screen and has messed it up.
Anyone ever find a replacement for this?
Also I was thinking of calling HTC but figured they wouldnt fix it.

BE SUPER CAREFUL WITH THE MICROSD RIBBON CONNECTOR. 2 pins on mine got messed up and now the vibration doesn't work...so be aware/be careful!

Here's one you can use as spare parts/replacement screen. If you do get this, I might want to buy the main-board off you to repair the stupid microSD connector...ugh, still can't believe I broke 2 pins on it!

Me too. I want the HTC logo on the front dammit! Let me know if you find what we're looking for. I already bought the HTC battery cover without the "G2" logo.

White/Sliver housing for the Desire

Hi there people...
I have had a good look on the web for a replacement housing like the one in the link but i can only find them in the standard colour. I'm after one in white or sliver, does anyone know of a good supplier or website where i could purchase one from?

It's a LOT of work, I wouldn't recommend it unless you damaged your phone.

As inspector gadget would say 'WOWSERS......'
that does seems like a lot of work to change covers!!

i'd definitely go for it if i have found one but it seems there isn't.guess you'll have to buy a white desire for it,i heard it gets dark stains around it after a while,but not sure if it'll happen when you use it properly.

From my experience, OEM housings aren't the best things in the world... unless the manufacturer has exact specification from HTC, they won't fit as good as your original housing does.

id rather not change this just for the looks of it... i actually checked the entire procedure of dismantling and assembling the screen... so many little steps where u can skrew up. i would probably set up my working place longer than actually work on this!

I need a new cover for my battery compartment and a new cover for the similar compartment. I truest calling HTC, they told me to go to shopamericahtc couldn't find anything there.

I been looking for this case too, it seems that samsung like to bring out devices and wait a while before bringing out the accessories, just like the S4 im still waiting for stock of the S view cover at Samsung Store. Ill let you know if i come across this.

I think the Samsung part number is EF-SN510BSEGWW.

My store had just the phone only AFAIK.
They didn't even have a floor display set up yet and refused to let me open a box to check it out before buying.
Now that stock has been in for a few days, some stores will probably setup a demo model. Not sure I'd hold out hope for accessories just yet other than screen protector and generic case (if you're lucky)?
I'm coming from a long line of Galaxy phones including Note 3 and Note 4.
I'm totally loving the Moto X Pure so far, aside from the volume button placement which my fingers are having a hard time with.
