I just bought a Speck Candyshell case for a little over $20.
It was a site called wirelessground (I don't know how reputable they are).
It is rubbery on the inside & hard on the outside. It was $34 on t-mobile's site and amazon.
Google:
Code:
T-Mobile G2x Speck CandyShell
There are only 2 sites with this case including amazon.
The coupon code is
Code:
15off
I am not affiliated with wirelessground or amazon but this is one of the few cases available and I saved almost $15!
I went with the bodyguardz transparent film...no added bulk and protects the phone and screen well. I had it on my last phone and it held up great for 2 years.

Agreed brother. No Screen protectors for me. Me and my buddy bought our cases in store on one receipt so we could get the "buy 2 get 20% off" deal. I went with the body glove snap-on case. The clip has a built in kickstand, that's what sold me.

Why do people cover there nice looking phones up with bulky rubber cases? Just buy a couple spare battery covers down the road and your set. Makes you wonder why the manufacturers don't just make rubber phones????

Lol. I never drop my phone, but other people do. I trust a well made case to save me the replacement cost.
Personal preference plays a role as well. I'm still rocking out with the out of the box screen film on my phone.

Is it just me or did we as consumers just completely breeze right past the day when cases went from 10 bucks to 35-50.
They are still the same damn case!
I know why. Phones are made thinner, lighter and more delicate......so they could sell us what they know we need.......something to make it BIGGER, THICKER and HARDER.
We are screwing ourselves........and paying someone to do it.

LMFAO, Slappy! You are too funny!
I, for one, am willing to pay a bit more for a good quality case. 18 months ago, I bought a very cheap silicone flappy-case for my very-soon-to-be-replaced Samsung Eternity (UPS is dropping my Infuse TODAY - woo hoo!). I remember taking off the silicone case after about one month of use to give the device a good ol' wipedown. I was super bummed to see that the sides of the phone were all scratched up FROM BEING IN THE CASE! This POS case had actually trapped dirt/dust between itself and the phone and proceeded to chafe itself silly!
So anyway, I'm going to get a solid, snug, and well made case for my new Infuse.
Having said that, any suggestions on brand and/or model? I am thinking Otterbox Commuter, but am open to anything...
I'm liking the casemate pop case.

Infuse Case
I went with a rubberized hard case, no name with screen protector included for $7 shipped on eBay. It looks quite similar to the CaseMate.
That should tide me over until the OtterBox commuter comes out.
I bought the CM Pop when I bought my phone. I just didnt like the feel and size so I exchanged it for the Body Glove case and I am very happy.

Uh the Body Glove Mirage case is black with diagonal lines. In my eyes/opinion it does not resemble actual (or imitation) carbon fiber in any way.

Im in for one. Meaning the XDA case. Looks nice and it's only 10 bux. Kinda sucks that it's preorder though lol. But I like the style nonetheless.
Already ordered mine!
Really like the style.
That 4-6 weeks for shipping is a bummer though ):

Is it glossy or matte?
My only concern is. Is it going to lift the screen protector. I was so happy I finally got a case for my n4 but then noticed it started to give my screen protector air bubbles. EFF that!
Not sure if anyone has noticed but Spigen has started to sell the bumpers for the Neo Hybrid separately now.
I for one think this is awesome now I don't have to spend 30 bucks for the frame itself.
http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/samsung/galaxy-s4-cases/galaxy-s4-case-neo-hybrid-frame.html
Thats really nice, indeed!
I think I'm finally buying them. A complete one and other frames.
I noticed that too, but it's $10 for a plastic frame. :/
There's a thread here that discusses about a knock-off that's so close to the original that you can interchange the plastic frame. It costs about $6 for the frame AND the TPU.(albeit the TPU is of cheaper quality)
I was looking to get a new color but 10.99 is a little too much for just a plastic frame

But for $10.99 just to change the look.... that's a tad much.

Well, as a package, I'm getting a complete case. The price paid is for a case that's high quality, provides my phone protection and looks nice. I would have spent this money else where if not here.
In this case, the price paid is just for the visual effect with no other benefit, so IMO 10.99 is too much for just that.

I know this MSRP's for more than $20, but i have seen them on Ebay got for $20-25. It is a glass screen protector.
I have one and think they are amazing. I have dropped my phone onto it's face in gravel from ear height and this protected my factory glass. In my opinion, id rather break one of these then the factory glass because it is a paint in the butt to replace the factory glass.

I got a skinomi from amazon. I think it was like 7 bucks. Lifetime warranty supposedly. I like it, it doesn't have the drag my old zagg's used to have when I move my finger around. It is a wet application, but it works, so I don't really have any complaints.

I made a mistake of purchasing skinomi for my late iphone 4s. The supposed lifetime warranty is a load of baloney. Such a hassle to convince them that I needed replacement as the corners started to peel. And after days of dispute, I got my replacement but they wanted me to pay for shipping. $3 shipping on a $10 product. Never again. But your experience may differ.

Good to know about the warranty. That's partially why I said supposedly. I guess I haven't had it long enough to know the long term quality. For a short term cheap screen saver it seems to be pretty good.

Awesome, good luck. My first one did not apply well, it had some weird line-defect in it. Got a new one, and i love it. I've been using it about 5 weeks now, and I don't have any scratches or marks on it. A plastic screen protector would be scratched up in a few days.
I keep my phone in my jacket pocket, or back pants pocket.
I've been really happy with it.
Got a zagg only because its the only one Best Buy offered when i got my phone. Will definitely be getting the spigen tempered glass one next payday. I hate the feeling of screen protectors (especially zagg, feels like an orange peel). Glass is the only way to go. IMO its an expensive phone, no need to be a cheap charlie when it comes to protecting the screen. Just my .02 cents. 30 bucks for a tempered glass one that will fit properly isnt much.

sorry for the late response. install was a breeze. I did however manage to get some dirt on the adhesive side of the glass right before I was about to place it on and freaked out for a bit after realizing the back side is pretty sticky and you cant simply wipe dirt off of it. Thankfully I had some sticky notes nearby and used the sticky side of the note and padded the adhesive side of the glass and it grabbed all the dirt right off

I didn't have this one but It went great.
What I did was do it after a hot shower (steamy), cleaned the screen with the included cloth and used the included stick repeatly to remove all dust.
when I see no dust on there, I quickly pealed off the red tab and aligned it before applying pressure and sticking it in place.
