Looks great! I haven't themed yet so I'm looking forward to this.
Sent from my rooted Moto Triumph

I am okay with this Don't go too heavy on the gradients, otherwise it'll look a little goofy...then again this is one of the most themed phones I've ever used, so don't take my word for it.
Also expecting that weird black box in a couple of the pictures will be gone by the alpha releases...
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk

Yeah its a picture widget of me and my wife so I blacked it out after the screenshots lol!
Sent from my OC'ed Triumph!

Is it Gingerbread and what kernel would it be built upon?

Its not gingerbread. The cm7 builds still have some issues and plus I don't build from aosp . I only build off stock ROMs. I feel you compromise some functionality when going the aosp route. If moto/cm releases an official gb update then I will build off that. For now it has umph kernel but eventually it will have it's own!

Looks good...

I have updated the op with new screenshots of the most current build of my ROM. It's not released yet but it is getting very close!

Okay so sorry for the long delay in getting the beta out. I have a version I am willing to release as a beta test to my beta testers. I had to fix a wifi issue, and clean up alot of little bugs bothering me. If you want to receive the beta, please email me and I will send you the link.
PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING!!!!
Code:
Hopefully if everything goes right I will have the beta release uploaded by tomorrow. I might have had it today, but I spent a great deal of time trying to repair the Windows 7 bootloader on my laptop which is what I dev on. But everything is up an running now so I should have it out tomorrow.
A note to testers, make sure you make a full nandroid backup(I suggest using CWM 5.0.2.3 at least to do this).
Also make sure you make a tar of your /hidden/data partition, or backup the bootanimation, shutdown animation, power-on sound, and the content.xml and setting.xml located in /hidden/data/CDA/. To do this you can use RootExplorer to make the tar, or use ES to make a zip or copy the files over to the sd card. Of course when you go to copy them back later you'll have to reset the permissions on them.
Next you will want to have a copy of your current recovery handy unless you want to stick with CWM 5.0.2.6 because thats what my ROM installs.
Lastly you will want to copy your splash.img out of the image folder in the fat partition(mounted when you plug in while in bootloader/download mode).
Whenever you test it out, please try out all the included apps, and also try out your favorite apps and make sure everything play's nicely. Really put this ROM through a work out, and pm bugs you have found to me. Make sure they are actual bugs and can be replicated!
All this applies to this beta test. Please note this will alter your /hidden/data partition and will change your splash.img and recovery.img, all of which are not backed up by a nandroid, so you will want to back these up before flashing my ROM. If you have any questions about this ask me in the pm asking to test it out and I will be glad to help instruct you on the best way to back it up!
Also I am currently working on getting bKernel up and running. I have a stock kernel with sio and vr i/o schedulers and a couple different govenors applied(but i'm running into some snags on some of the govenors) and my brother and I are working on merging DoomLords OC/UV setup into our kernel. This is not included in the beta, its just umph v1 oddball. But eventually I will get a release version of my kernel.

V1.0 has been released!! Check the OP for more information!

Okay so I am posting screenshots of v1.1. It is like a week or two away, and should be a vast improvement over 1.0. I believe I have got all the bugs fixed, but I will be pushing out beta tests to some of my testers real soon to make sure it's dialed in!

great job on this man, been trying it out for a couple of days and its pretty silky smooth, only issue was i couldn't get the phone to power down it would just reboot, netflix force closes, also it seems my 3g isn't working...didn't notice it really until today since i'm most always on a wifi connection. does this rom address the prominent headset volume issue the stock rom had?

fixed the 3G and force close issues with a re-flash. looking forward to your next release

Just flashed on my girlfriends phone good work. Looks good.
Sent from my Revolting Revolution. Powered my mtmichaelson.

Somehow I cannot go to CWM recovery after flashing v1.0, is there some other tricks should I try?

It won't work through the power menu, you have to do it the old fashioned way, turn off your phone and hold both volume keys with the power button

why are the downloads private?

[ROM][32B/Dream][13/11/09]SlackerXS-1.1[Hybrid] - Donut1.6 stock w.mods(REALLY FAST)

Hello, first of all I want to thanks cyanogen, dwang and DBeCe, and all who those guys thanked to.
So, long story short I combined some of Cy's 4.2.4 improvements with dwang's 1.11 SPEEDY ROM, and DBeCe's blanco gray/silver theme with 5 screens instead of 3, with transparent statusbar and some personal touch to it (I am going to create a new theme as soon as possible, time is of the essence). So far everything is Working!
Compatibility: 32b/Dream
QUICK and DIRTY
So, we have:
Version 1.1:
* Maps from Droid
* Updated Phone.apk
* Cyan's/Xenio2000 Contacts.Apk
* Droid Youtube
* Updated BetterBrowser from Loccy
* Updated Phone Mod from Cytown (blacklist ftw!)
* Updated Superuser from ChainsDD/Zinx
* BT OBEX fixes
--------------------------------from Cyanogen
* eclair icons
and much more
and the entire Dwang ROM
with the custom theme modded from DBeCe's blanco
Everything is signed and tested! I am running it on my phone as we speak.
As always if you do something dumb or you aren't carefull enough and brick your phone that is not my problem.
I thank everyone for using their sources and their hard work!
---------------------
This is my first ROM after much reading and testing, nothing is dangerous because I haven't created anything from scracth yet, I will test everythign myself before uploading, I need feedback to improve my work, THANKS.

If I broke some of the site's policies let me know and I will correct everything.

You should add the Google. Maps with Navi mod on this Rom or does it have it?
Nope, it doesn't have it, I could add it, but that is for another day, my eyes are really heavey now, just sendind some mails and it's bed time, it's 4 am in the morning here
Nice!! looking forward to this ROM! Was wondering if this ROM has the 10mb hack or not? I want to play 3d games
:-D
Just flashed this...so far so good. Spiffing it up a little bit with some transitions, custom images, and various tweaks. I will be running test to see if I can break it. Dwang's roms have always ran well with my phone I expect this to be no different. Will edit this post when done.
Looks good... I love fast ROM!
This is a small mod thats kinda cool.

Screen shots?
Actualy I added separately into my ROM the new contacts, it looks better.
Screenshots updated, tomorrow I am going to add the nav and the new contacts, I will test and if everything ok upload, I really want it to remain a fast ROM, so anything unnecesarry will go .
Is it just me or does the Bluetooth app from Cyan's rom force close? I ran fix_permissions and rm -r and added it back still no go.
Updating
Currently using Cyanogen's 4.2.4 ..
Wondering if this works on
HardSPL or only the "Special SPL" .... I havent updated to it yet and wish to not to... Can someone let me know... Thanks.
The next cyanogen?!?!?1
WOW!!!!! The fastest rom I've ever used on my G1 to date. this thing is flying by and never stopping to load a thing!!! Not to mention I haven't even begun to tweak it. No swapper, no over clocking, just reliable fast and stable, Big ups to you my friend you've delivered a true gem here with this one.
Will def keep an eye out for your other roms to come. I do wish that there were more themes available. But I'm sure they're in the works.

Doesn't this rom come with overclocking in the kernel already?
This thing is flying like no other. Everything is flawless. Ran into some force closes but not because of the rom just fix_permisson needed, although Bluetooth.apk is still force closing on me. No worries though no complaints here on my end.
On a side note. Why does it say Droid 2.0? Even when my computer finds my phone via bluetooth it no longer says G1 it says Droid...not complaining just wondering.

It is using Dwang's version of Cyanogen's kernel so I believe it is universal.

Exactly. so it makes life that much easier!
Hmm well this is odd. I flashed Slacker's theme and lost all data connection. It wouldn't even find networks for wifi. I flashed Blanco for Dwang and added the res folder from Slacker's theme into the framework-res.apk and still no data connection. But flashed the regular Blanco with anim folder from blur and data worked.....suggestions?
This is an awsome rom its is fast as *shut yo mouth* lol
But loving this rom hope you do more
THanks
Add Navigation support .
Theme & 10mb
Hey Does your theme use advance launcher or no? & Does this Rom have 10mb hack or not?
really
Since dwang's rom is a blantant rip of cy's work and you say you merged the two together and then themed it, it is now a rom. I think I am just gonna put my cm4.2.4 on here with my custom remix of other people work and call it a rom and say how fast it is

[ROM]Beackware 1.1[Fast][Stable]themed DONUT

not really, if its usable for daily+the speed. theres no reason not to do so.
looks nice, perhaps flashing in 2 days, cos i want to test my friend rom first...
i think the 1.6 version for 192MB of RAM is the best choice, but the 2.1 are cool too.
Maybe i try to cook a 2.1 version. but not now.
I would try it, but I don`t like the RAM Hack one bit I`m a gammrer.. so if you think on releasing a version without it will def. try it .
Thx

3D games work slow cuz the RAM HACK. in home i try to cook a version without the ram hack.
I'll give it a go, will report back how I think.
Super fast, which is awesome. Only issue i've had is FC sometimes when I press the home button. I also got FC's when trying to setup google account, but i closed and it worked fine through market.

i wiat your feedback, i tested on my new G1 and no problems so far, i found nothing FC's on it. thx for the try man, cheers.
so far i can say this rom is really quick and stable i have had the phone last 12 hours with normal use 4 hours it was just sitting there the rest of the time was with music and texting and 2 1 and half hour phone calls also 3g was on. so far i have only had 2 FC in the music app aside from that in the zeam lancher the text message preview in the bar dont show because the text is black and you cant see it on the black bar also aside from that zeam is really great i like it alot and its quick
over all this rom runs great ^_^
thx so much man, if you want i can make a default theme of android for you.

[Update #4 November 22nd]Unleashed 3.0 AOSP coming soon!

THE ALPHA IS RELEASED! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9427400#post9427400
Hey guys. Long time since I posted on XDA haha.
Well I just wanted to inform all of you waiting for Unleashed 3.0 that it is coming along nicely. I was able to boot AOSP, with a decent amount of bugs that I am going to work on and cvpcs is working on with his Obsidian build(we are not working together), but if he finds fixes they go into my rom and if I find them they go into his. Another thing is that this couldn't have been done without slayher's help, helping me to get the vendor setup working.
Current bugs:
Phone reboots when you lock and then press the unlock button
Alt lock does nothing
Capacitive button feedback is very weak, meaning you can barely feel it vibrating.
Ill edit when each is fixed...
Fixed bugs:
USB is WORKING - *USB is now fully working thanks to slayher. Working 100%. USB Mass Storage and USB Debugging work. Now I can run ADB logcat and try to solve some other issues.*
Sound works, in phone too. *SOUND IS WORKING 100%. Thanks Blackdroid for the idea!*
I am not going to release this yet until I fix the lockscreen reboot.
Follow me on Twitter
Also another thing, people will ask me how this is different from Fission. Fission is not AOSP. It is based off the sdk image released by Motorola. Fission still uses the Motorola framework, it is just a vanilla rom. This rom is a full stock AOSP rom with the stock framework(with two Motorola jar files that are needed) and the stock sliders. This has no ties with blur in any way.
For all the people who wants Quadrants, this is the highest I have gotten. I range anywhere from 1800 to 2167. I usually don't care about Quadrant scores but you all do haha.

If your a newbie and don't know where to start... READ THIS!

First off, I am still a newbie! I don't claim to be some expert in the field. Basically I've spent a good 8hrs trying to figure this phone out and how to root it, update kernals, radios and themes...etc. Ive probably had to reinstall my phone 5 times in the past day after being stuck in boot loops and getting stupids error after error.
I've finally setup my Charge the way I'm VERY HAPPY with and just wanted to share what I did to get to this point... so if your confused on where to start, hopefully this helps some!
Here is what I did from a stock Droid...
1) Downloaded ODIN from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1160580
Instructions on how to use it are in the thread so please read it over twice.
2) Downloaded Humble 4.2 ODIN from this thread and placed the md5 on my desktop
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1293429
3) Turned off phone, removed sim card & battery (IMPORTANT), held down the volume down key while inserting the usb cable to put phone into download mode, put battery back in, then fired up ODIN and loaded the Humble4.2 ODIN file.
3) After installing that rom, I waited until it fully loaded (about 10mins+), went to the home screen (didnt bother setting anything up) then I mounted the USB as a drive so I could see it on my computer. I downloaded Humble 4.22 CWR from the same thread linked above (http://www.ponack.net/danalo/humble422.zip) and moved it into my SDCARD (in root, no folder) as a zip file say humbl422.zip. I also downloaded the imoseyon kernel from http://goo.gl/mQsbC and loaded that into SDCARD as kernal.zip in root folder of sdcard.
4) Held down power button, chose to reboot into recovery mode. Then in recovery mode I chose to install zip from SDCARD and first did kernal.zip and then ran it again doing the humble422.zip file (thus giving us the latest kernal and Humble 4.22 Rom)
5) One booted up into Humble 4.22 your pretty much done with the hard part. Next thing I did was installed the following apps from the market
- Go Contacts EX
- Go SMS Pro
- Go Launcher EX
- Go Launcher EX Notifcation
- Go Switch Widget
- Go TaskManager Widget
- GoWidget Theme - Transparency
- Halloween Theme Go Launcher EX
- Skyfire Web Browser
Use the "themes" icon in the app drawer to apply your theme such as "Halloween Theme" (which I love lol)... you can also apply a theme to Go SMS Pro and Go Contacts to pretty much customize everything. Add a few GoWidgets to your home screen then apply the theme "Transparency" to those widgets to make them blend in better.
BTW my quadrant score was 1950, VERY VERY VERY impressive!!!!
Here are my screen shots...

The wallpaper you have on your phone is pretty cool. Do you by chance remember where you got it?
Edit: nvm, guess I should have read a little better.
Sent from my Droid Charge running GummyCharged FE 2.0
Thanks so much for doing this brotha!!!! I have been reading and reading and reading and this is the first post that makes me feel like I can actually ROM my phone with out winding up with a mess. My business comes to a complete halt if my phone is not working and that I can not risk.... hence why I have been so hesitant to ROM my phone. I really appreciate all the posts on this site that the people who know what they are doing, but I feel that most of the time many of the posts leave a lot of gaps in the ROM'ing process. If I have even the smallest doubt I ain't messing with my phone... PERIOD! Anyway, thanks for the step by step and the links for each step. I feel like my hand is being held and frankly that is what I need.
Now, with all that being said, can I ask you what made you decide on the ROM and kernel that you used? For me it is all about having a very stable phone when all is said and done. Of course, I want it to be fast and also fix some of the things that drive me nuts about this phone... i.e. GPS lock issues & constant dropped signal strength.
Have you found these 2 issues specifically improved/fixed? What other improvements have you noticed since ROM'ing?
Thanks again for your post and input!

So far not a single issue with Humble 4.22 rom, I had a TON of issues with 4.0 such as keyboard freezing, boot loops...etc, but 4.22 is running like a champ. GPS working, 4G signal coming in smooth and phone hasn't frozen once since loading.
Reasons for rooting & loading rom
> Removes a LOT of Verizon preloaded crap
> Ability to load upgraded radios (aka stronger signal)
> Longer battery life
> Theming the phone (which by far is the BEST reason alone)
> Phone runs 3-6x faster than stock.
> Overall the phone is much more enjoyable than stock.

[Cornerstone][Theme] Cornerstone themes

For those of you who are interested in Cornerstone I took the liberty of putting a little theme together. Keep in mind this is a work in progress and i would appreciate any suggestions or tips.
Before you do anything back up your CSPanel.apk file
Rename to CSPanel.apk
Close Cornerstone
Go to system /app
delete CSPanel.apk (or copy elsewhere and rename)
Copy Modded file to /system/app
Install app
restart Cornerstone
Oh ya this is totally unauthorized so none of the brilliant developers (cyanogen(mod) or Team Eos) should be held responsible if your tab blows up or takes over the world. I as well will take no responsibility if anything happens to your device.
Just incase i'm putting the original CSPanel up as well.
Both Versions have simmilar changes.
Cornerstone Logo replaced
Ugly blue window active bar replaced.
Screens
Team Eos-Cornerstone:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
ricardopvz CM9- Cornerstone :
Plans for the future:
In order
1. Effects when button presses (this weekend probably)
2. Change the fonts on the window app name thing (this weekend probably)
3. all the icons
4. Make the divider bar between the windows smaller or transparent (as soon as i figure out how)
5. Make the whole thing blend a little better into the system and not just a giant black box with apps in it (as soon as i figure out how)
(pretty much everything else)
Started checking this out on Saturday so i'm still learning. First theme so please be gentle.

This one is obviously Team Eos and i am currently working on one for the CM9 version.
Essentially all that has been done for now is changed the logo and the horrible blue bar that shows when a window is active.
Rename to CSPanel.apk
Close Cornerstone
Go to system /app
delete CSPanel.apk (or copy elsewhere and rename)
Copy Modded file to /system/app
restart Cornerstone

Followed the instructions and even took the extra step of updating the permissions and it told me the app wasn't installed. So, I installed it and everything is running fine.
Nice job. Looks great. Just wanted to share my experience in case others run into the same thing.
good to see another themer here. Just a hint it might be easier to just use villan theme installer rather than replacing apk's as then you do not have the issue of apk corruption or people complaining about loosing the app when they have done something wrong

K cool i will check it out.. Thanks (That is gonna take some time to wrap my head around i'll give it a try this weekend)
Updated to include CM9 version and original just in case.
Any ideas on how to make this really cool?
Plus I did check out Villain themer... seems from what I read if you flash the from the changes go away. This may be good for the future but since for each release of the Team EOS and CM9 you have to reflash the rom so it may not work.
