yeah, for some reason this wallpaper excites me. i have it on my nexus one and it would be great to see it on the hero

if someone could make it happen that would be great.

well i got it to install, but it force closes...some things need to be edited just not sure what exactly

You guys can't possibly be talking about the "Bubbles" lwp that's on the market, can you?
My dog could draw better graphics than that one has.
OK, so no, that's not what you're talking about. Any screenshots of it someone could link to? I'd like to check out some cool live wallpapers....

it's the one from the htc desire. like i said it works on the desire and since someone got the desire rosie.apk ported, i thought that maybe it would be possible to get it to work. maybe it has some dependencies on the desire framework...im not too sure.

I'm looking through the file and i think its only a matter of it looking for a different renderer engine than the one that are on our phone. I almost got it. Just give me like a couple more hours, or sooner. lol

Ah, that one. Yeah, that one's pretty cool. Not a "must have", but it would be cool to have on my phone as an option.
I could make a youtube video of the one I was referring to, but trust me, it's not worth it...
Now, for a completely unrelated question....
How do I get one of the demo phones? I've done all the right things. Tried the phone stock when it was fresh out of the box, tried better roms, wiped EVERYTHING and then reflashed the fastest roms I've found, and my phone has never, ever been as snappy as what they show in these demo videos.
Makes me wonder if they build special demo phones that have a 3ghz core 2 quad in them with three and a half minutes of battery life.... (just enough to do a quick demo and then run back to the booth for a fresh battery...)

Someone leaked it to modaco a while ago. As for messing around with it. Install it and run logcat to see why it fails. Then use smali or the apktool from the g1 forums to modify it.

DarchLegend would be more like it. Darchdroid is from AOSP, not really ported from a particular phone.

This fits in here just fine. We have roms cooked from several different phones here. There are certainly some nice things to be found in this rom that can (possibly) contribute to the Hero.

Anybody have any clue what kind of special stuff is in there? Maybe the EVO Sense already works with JIT Roms????

I for one would love to see the new lockscreen ported to our 2.1 roms. That would be sick

I would love to have a lockscreen that isn't our stock Hero one. It's terrible. And I can't seem to get the Vanilla one working or any other one except the straight up clear one working on Fresh 2.1.

And the Hotspot app. I'd love Infrastructure wifi instead of Ad-Hoc

So other than a few different apps whats so different about the EVO rom? Been alot of talk that they may not even be able to root that baby, id feel bad for them.

In good time im sure but not right away. I read that new android motorla phones will not be able to be rootable at all, i think this will be a trend.

The fact that Sprint is requiring (seems to be confirmed now too) that you have the Wifi hot spot add-on in order to activate the wifi on the phone leads me to believe that once people have this phone in hand they will find that it's not rootable.
I am not real savvy on rooting android phones, but it seems to me that this might be the direction that providers are going in with these phones in order to maintain add-on sales for the devices.

If it indeed is Sense 3.0, i have no idea. But is looks like an original. If i am right, the Sense interface is protected by HTC.

looks like the same sense that is used on the Desire Z/HD
With my understanding should be sense 2.0?

That's photoshop'd - why would HTC put new Sense on a Wildfire before any of the high end devices??

It could be a custom creation, but i doubt it that HTC would like that.

That's not Wildfire, but Wildfire 2.
As for Sense, there are distinguishing features on launcher:
1. 1.0 -> Up arrow | Phone | Plus button
2. 2.0 -> Up arrow | Phone | Customization button
3. ?3.0 -> List button | Phone | Customization button
Of course, it could be updated Sense 2, maybe 2.5.

Still doesn't mean it's not super imposed onto it does it?

As I said, likely to be super-imposed - until I see a functioning handset and video proof I'll assume it's not real

Also without optical trackpad like the new desire 2, too bad i don't use it often but sometimes i really need it.

It's pretty clear it ain't fake. So the only question remains: Is it upgraded Sense 2 or brand new Sense 3? We will find out after week or so.

Seriously, what makes this real?? Heard of concept designs??
As I said, until I see a fully working handset being demo'd in a video I will consider this a marketing venture and nothing more. You guys keep believing it's real...it's like me editing a home screen and taking a picture and going "yeah look at my new Sense 20.1"

Could be, however after scouring the internet for articles about weather the origional HTC Desire was going to get the HTC Desire HD Sense update, I couldn't find a thing. So I did what no one dares do, and sent an E-Mail to HTC. Surprisingly, this is the reply I got.

Sense at the moment is only incorporated into our newer devices as we aim to show progression. However when the updates come in from Google for us to configure. There will often be some suprises in the update but the software engineers wont even tell us as its all network depended.

Is there any info about flashing Pure gingerbread in our Sensations. Just got an T-Mobile US Sensation from my local Walmart. I love sense 3.0 but would really like to see how fast thing will bein Pure Ginger mode.

I've been thinking about this as well. Since it is not possible to load custom roms yet, your only option is a launcher from the android market. There is actually an Android 2.3 Launcher available in the market for 99¢ which might improve performance since it would disable Sense. I don't know if that's the case for sure but it's only a buck so you might as well try it.

i cannot find the settings any where

That's because it doesn't exist in the Sensation.

there is a app somewhere around here that works pretty good

im still trying to figure out why HTC took away some nice features that the older sense versions had..

I always thought this was sad.
I even mailed Pano guys from the iPhone as that works pretty well - they said they would make an android version but not seen anything yet.
galaxy S 1 had a feature for panorama which was half decent - not sure why this isn't in yet... photostitch and other apps I tried didn't work so great imo... not sure if they have improved in the last 6months or so...
