Hi,
http://www.otterbox.com/LG-Optimus-Commuter-Series-Case/LGX4-OPTIM-20-E4OTR_A,default,pd.html
I've already searched around the internet alot and found different awnsers on the Question, wether this Otterbox Case will fit the LG P500. Some people said it would fit perfectly (here on XDA) others say it doesn't work at all. So what is true now, does andybody have this case and the LG P500 and could say wether they fit or not?
Thanks a lot in advance
It probably will fit, but it will look pretty bad and might not have the correct cut outs due to it was made for a different phone.
Compatibility:
LG Optimus S (Sprint)
LG Optimus U (U.S. Cellular)
LG Optimus V (Virgin Mobile)
NOT compatible with the LG Optimus M (MetroPCS)
NOT compatible with the LG Optimus T (T-Mobile)
From my knowledge the p500 is the same as the T, so I would say probably not. Cut outs would most likely be off. Looks really nice though!
I took a chance and bought that one.
Fits good.
front screen, front buttons, headphone jack and power button line up.
The volume keys on the side are a little off, but they do work just a little harder to hit the down button.
Camera lines up perfectly too
I scored mine off ebay cheap so I'm loving it

Hey, sorry I read your awnser a little bit late. So you bought the case and are using it with a LG Optimus One / LG Optimus T?! I mean if the side buttons would be the only thing which is off, that would be fine with me ...
Thanks in advance
Whoops! Not found! :/
These are pretty sweet. I might go for one.
Have had this setup for my Optimus V for close to a year, and have been very pleased. High quality, great fit, and attractive appearance. Had a cheap case off of ebay prior to the Otterbox, and it was not bad for the price, but the Otterbox provides more protection and is better designed.

I got mine from ebay too
I got ebay #220687867777
As above, it is a tight fit but the power button is the problem, likely all the same case from different sellers..
I superglued a tiny plastic fragment from a shampoo bottle lid under the cases button indentation and it's perfect. The smoke effect isn't so good where I put the glue but duh... its a solvent.
It came with a screen protector which was surprisingly good compared to the Zagg ones I have used before (and still have).
Total bargain
well after initial getting one off flea bay it came and did the job but was bulky and the power button was hard to operate
then read on here about some one who got a very good one and no power button issues, so i got the link and ordered one and i have to say its excellent
fits a lot better than the other one and far less bulky and the power button is no longer a problem

After seeing this I ordered one of these, and I can confirm it works well - much better than the previous case I had, where it was a real pain to press the power button. Really fast (free) delivery and only £3.49 - bargain!
Got a case-mate one today from carphone whore house it was a tenner with screen protector that I immediately threw away, as I don't see the need for a screen protector also it looked like it wouldn't fit that well. The case itself is pretty nice, I don't think it is silicone (maybe TPU) as it comes out of my pocket easily (you all know what I mean). It is very sleek and fits really well, power and volume buttons are easy to use so a win all round. Unfortunately it is not on either the CPW or the case-mate website yet (they had one type of case in stock and only one of that case in stock). Looking at the other case-mate cases I believe it is from their barely-there series.

That looks great. My wife is about to get a Desire HD, I'm used to flexishield cases (which I think is brilliant for my HD2) - is this as good as theirs?
Thanks.
The case you are discussing in here is the same one I posted about in this thread. The seller I got it from sells it for a little less (£2.75) but it is exactly the same one. I have to say I have no problems with it, it fits well, all the buttons and openings are well cut and I would recommend it to anyone. As for the power button, the inital HTC design is a pain but this case helps out to some degree, that said, it is still difficult to press at times.
Regards.
Is it worth buying a hydro case or a silicone gel case like these

I bought 2 of these the other day I gave one my friend who has the HD as mine doesn't come till Monday. The case looks fine and does the job. There is a really smart looking case on Play.com coming out at the end if the month. These will do until then.

Thats the same one i got a few days ago, feels really good, buttons work fine, really happy with it
http://www.netimes.com/shop/index.p..._description=1&keyword=desire+hd+case&x=0&y=0
There are a couple of types available for Desire HD, and we have had no complaints so far.
Caring is sharing so here it goes
Found quite a very good inexpensive case for Omnia 7 on ebay.
Paid 5 pound in total and it arrived today Think i ordered last week on Tuesday.
First impression. Very solid and durable. Unlike silicon ones i found around Dublin it doesnt slip of the phone when you take it out of your pocket and it looks brilliant. Grip is perfect. The middle back of the phone isnt too grippy though it would be perfect not getting too stuck in the pocket, but the sides where the reflective back is it offers great grip ive been missing
Also design is great and looks lovely on the phone
One con. The buttons are as easy to push. They dont offer such tacktile feedback as without it. But im sure ill get used to it Actually quite helps to stop accidental buttons presses while in the pocket or playing games
Generally 9 out of 10 One of the best cases ive ever seen

Got the same case. Quality is pretty good, however, I don't like the fact that it also convers the buttons, you have to press through the case to press the buttons, so they're somewhat hard to press.
So I think I'll cut out some space where the buttons are (with a dremel tool)
I didnt like that either. But it actually stopped alot of accidental button presses since.
Main problem here is that the audio jack and usb port dont align correctly. Otherwise a great case
It looks very nice. I have leather pouch for my Omnia, but I'm not satisfied because you have to take it out of your pocket and than out of pouch, which I don't like much.
From the pictures it looks like it could be a little difficult to connect it to mUSB. Do you have to take it out if you're charging it or connecting to PC?
I dont.
The only time i have to is when im trying to connect it to FM transmitter cause the jack hole doesnt allign and doesnt allow sufficient space. Works grand with the headphones supplied by Samsung though.

Hey Heimiko
I've got the same case and am finding that the buttons are too hard to press. Thinking about cutting holes over the buttons too. Did you have much success with this? Are the buttons a lot easier to press now?
Thanks

Ill have a look. Might be on desktop. Was posted such a long time ago might have deleted it
I think i got it off www.Zedge.net its a mobile website for phone wallpapers and videos and stuff
I've got this case as well, and it's definetely one of the better quality cases.
Unfortunately the holes for the headphones and usb port aren't completely aligned with the actual ports, so I had to cut them out a bit.
It's a really slim fit and can be a bit hard to remove. The grips on the side make it feel quite nice in your hands.
Has anyone noticed something reddish and rough on the volume rocker surface after using it for more than 6 months? I hope its not rust and just polish that has eroded...I stay in Mumbai where the climate is quite humid that's why i think its rust..
Yes I have the same issue, a coppery colour with rough texture, my power button has also started to loose the silver finish.
But do you think its rust or just eroded polish??
Of course its not rust. The rocker is alloy-plated. After a while it disappears. Sad but true
Thank god it isnt rust...but i have heard that cheap metals also get rust ..
Same with me. Coppery brown color on volume and power keys. The silver color is no more.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
yep mines the same, its just the silver wearing off, there is nothing to worry about, its just a shame they didnt use solid metal insted of the plastic with silver coating.
Good for you. My volume rocker essentially failed, the volume down function barely works, I have to press it very hard. Does anyone have experience about RMA in this case?

I dropped my phone and it landed on its side bending my volume rocker down the centre, It kept falling out as it no longer fitted properly, inevitably one day I lost the rocker but I bought a replacement online, it was slightly expensive for what it is but in no way costly. You can pry your old one off with something thin, a small blob of adhesive holds in on the the middle of the rocker, and then 1 metal and 1 rubber (?) tab hold it into the phone. The rubber tab is at the bottom of the rocker so pry with something thin from there.
I bought mine http://www.parts4repair.com/products/HTC-Desire-HD-Volume-Button.html there. I choose the cheapest delivery which took almost 2 weeks to the UK. Its up to you whether you choose this option or not. I thought I would just put it out there incase anyone wants to replace their volume rockers.
That may happen in the near future if my phone falls for 2 times or more!...but thats good information @didge3...and why are you still using ARHD 5.2.1 when 6.1.0 is out?But if you prefer sense 2.1 wasn't 5.2.6 the smoothest?

Thank you, but I think my problem is with the volume down button itself, and according the site you linked this case I would have to buy a motherboard flex cable that is about $50...
I´ve been using a silicon case since day one (17. November 2010)
Everything still looks like on day one...
I would send it in to HTC, they can replace the buttons ...
They have outstanding service!

Should really update my signature more often! When I posted I was running 5.2.1, and shortly after I bumped up to 5.2.6 but too be honest I was looking at 6.1 and thinking I'm a little bored of Sense so now I'm running MIUI+, a slight change....
Also got this, it's a real shame. The paint is only coming off on the bottom side, and also the actual button is starting to break off the phone at the bottom !
I blame all the reboots into recovery...

Yeah, me too. A good silicon case is certainly worth it and for me the phone feels better in hand. I use this very one (from this review).
the volume rocker is one weak link in an otherwise excellent phone,,
barely a month after i bought a new DHD, and my "" vol - "" aint working !
have to use software to adjust vol,,,,
Agree, a good case is the answer. Got a nice case of play.com. It's a exspect case paid about £6, bargin, kept mine safe for months now. Give a look...

Just doing some research. I thought the G2X had the same design as the Optimus 2X (P990) but Phone Arena is telling me they have different sizes. Is this true?
theyre the same phone the o2x cases only have a cut out at the top corner for the antenna or something but yeah they fit theyre the same size etc
I got one by accident (a rubber one from ebay) and it made accessing the power button difficult. It also exposed a corner to scratches.
They're OK in a pinch but I'd try to avoid them if possible.

They are the same exact dimensions, so the case will fit.
Though, I believe the cut outs are different for the o2x.
So it will fit, though you may have a hard time accessing parts of the phone.

There's a lot of rubber cases like that. I don't think it's for the O2x as much as it's just the design.
I believe everything is the same except the radio/baseband.

Hey Guys. I recently (2 Months Ago) Bought This LG Optimus 2x P999 (Wind Mobile) From Kijiji for 20 Dollars, The only thing that was wrong with it was that the previous owner dropped it and dented in the outer metal housing of the device. The screen itself and the glass part are just fine, It's just dented in and makes the whole phone look ugly. What I was wondering is if I could replace the outer housing and the Digitizer with a White Lg Optimus 2x Replacement part as I feel the white one looks a lot better. The Part I'm planning on buying would be this:
Well, I'm Apparently new so I can't post links.. But let's try this: (Ebay.ca)/itm/Original-Touch-Screen-Digitizer-LG-Optimus-2X-P990-T-mobile-P999-White-/310419378474?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item48466fd12a#ht_1204wt_1163
Also, This is the Bezel I'm going to try and buy: (Ebay.ca)/itm/Housing-FRAME-Battery-Back-Camera-Cover-LG-Optimus-2X-P990-G2X-P999-Star-/280952615874?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item8712774e9f#ht_1545wt_1397
Do you guys think I can just replace that part? I know I'll have to take out most of the phone to do it. Is it do-able and give me your opinions on my future mod. Thanks, Yuvin (Will add pics of my current P999 with the dents soon.)
