Does the radio app on our phone requires data to work or does it work on its own?

FM radio works on its own, but does need the headset to work as an antenna.

Isbthere a reason why iheartradio doesn't have an app for the sensation yet?? I find thus odd.and hopefully they can port it over to it! My guess is.becuase of sense3.0

No reason why root would affect it
yeah the only potential problem is a rom that doesn't identify the phone properly.
