Whenever I am on wifi most websites don't load on both my browsers. It is weird, it will connect to gmail.com but not google.com. My apps that need internet connectivity also sometimes work. For example, the xda devolpers app and my yahoo fantasy basketball app don't work but my google drive works. I recently downloaded a "my data manager" app to keep track of my data usage. Does anybody have any ideas?
EDIT: I'm running Paranoid Android's Jellybean rom.
Hi,
Is there anyway to set the VPN for specific apps. VPN works great, but I only want to use it for mail or a specific browser so that I can get my work email through the VPN and use the phone as normal for everything else.
Cheers
I have an Android phone and tablet (see my signature for models), both of which I use at home on my home WiFi network and at college, which uses a proxy server on their network to censor websites and whatnot. I can connect fine to the college's network through a web browser, but the applications on either of my devices cannot seem to connect using the pre-configured proxy settings. These applications include the Play Store, Yahoo! Mail, and various other applications that needs to sync. I have noticed that whenever I open a web browser on my Android devices, a popup box prompting me for my network Username and Password, and I have to press "Log In" to connect to the network.
So my question is this; is there a way to tell my apps to use the proxy settings and my username/password to connect to the network?
(I have yet to try an application called ProxyDroid - it looks like it will work, but I will have to try it tomorrow to see. It might have some problems working on JB 4.2.2.)

ProxyDroid doesn't work in 4.2.2, unfortunately.
Hi,
You should try Drony or SandroProxy

I am experiencing the same problem when I connect to my office LAN and can seem to find where I can add the Proxy settings in my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 P5200 running 4.2.2. Has anyone found a solution to this please?
I have installed and tried several VPN apps from the Google Play Store using Market Helper, but they all seem to provide either free access to their own VPN servers, or they are subscription based.
I would like to input my existing VPN server settings to the SATV, but since there is no way to access the regular Android VPN settings AFAIK on the SATV, I am looking for an app that will provide the same options.
Do any of you know an suitable app?
Bump.
Installed firewall app AFWall+ and turned it on.
Internet access is allowed for google play and google play services apps.
Store can be browsed but when it comes to downloading apps it is stuck as it has no access.
What app/service should I grant access to download apps?
Also, what is the app/service for network connectivity check to avoid no internet icon and no portal logins. (tried Google connectivity services with no luck)
Solved

Found out it is allowing "network stack" solves both issues.
