I've had a problem with the Genie Widget. It works fine when I first install it on a newly installed ROM, but after a little while, it can't acces and won't access weather at all. Won't refresh. Tried turning data off and back on, reinstalling, everything. Anyone else having this problem?

I ahven't had any such issues. Are you running a version for 2.1 as opposed to the ported version for 1.5?
I attached the APK I am using.

I think you could be right on that. I think I'm using a ported version for 1.5. I'll try out the version you posted and see how it goes

Tried this as well and still a no go. Rebooting to see if ti helps
EDIT: Still doesn't work. I'm stumped.
So I've narrowed it down to gps. It can't get my location automatically. I can set my location and it works fine. Why is this?

Are you using custom 2.1 rom or still using ported 1.5 rom?
it does that on 1.6 roms also
Mine will do this from time to time as well, but eventually it clears itself up. It can take a while to get back to working, however.
Can anyone tell me what version of the widget their running? According to what Astro's App Manager tells me, I'm running version 1.1.7-RC6 on Fresh Rom 2.0d

I've had this problem now matter what version of it I use. ported 1.5 or 2.1.
Here is the clear one if anyone would like it.....works awesome for me and no problems since I started using it two weeks ago.

Hey guys, what does this widget do? I've always been looking for a weather widgte that gives me hourly on the screen. I'm a bike rider, so very particular about my hourly weather.

Thanks for that. I actually editted mine last night to make it a transparent black background, but really wasn't satisfied with it. You saved me the work of making it clear

I think its a bit better. But I must be optimistic.
The new update actually caused a fc in browser for the first timever. I have have rooted nexus running froyo. Modacos froyo. Wtf?

What FC?
I'm running the original one dropped off by Paul. Zero issues.
FC = Force close, same happend to me first time...
Can't notice any difference to be honest Maybe a tiny tiny bit
Now i can put in full size every flash element by long pressing on it and select the full screen icon. I can't remember if you could do that before.
Video rendering frame rate seems to have improved a bit
i don't know if b4 the update vimeo worked for any of you guys but it now works for me, and hbo's website wasnt really working for me b4 but now with this update its working better then b4!

Clicking on the full screen icon worked before i used it all the time
can someone post the apk please? its not appearing in my market.
i changed my fingerprint in build.prop back to 2.1 and am guessing thats why i cant see it?

Obviously since the flash player download only shows up for 2.2 only.
Double tapping a video always full screens it for me.....

I guess that is only if you don't have it installed. I installed Flash then changed my build file and the update came up fine.
For me, a real test of Flash is to use Dolphin Browser HD and set my UA to Desktop and then hit www.disney.com.
I used to work for them supporting the site and it's one of the more intensive flash sites out there. What I love is that after the update, it works smooth as silk. EVERY imbedded video plays flawlessly and smooth (over 3G) and can navigate the site without issue.

That stopped working for me before the update, I was hoping this update would fix it; no go, but long press works fine so no big deal.
Can someone help me? I've had flash install since I updated to 2.2 and now when I go to the market can not find the flash player. I also tried adobe site and follow the link then I get "requested item not found " anyone knows what's wrong or can help?? Unrooted.

Any recommend for a news reader that links to google reader. The google reader app doesn't scale up and with pulse I get a sign in error about the date and time.
Our is there a fix for pulse reader? I'm using vegan gingerbread.

I use NewsRob. There's both free and paid versions. Works well on Vegan 5.1.
Hmm ... Pulse works great for me on Vegan-gb, and links to my Google reader account. No sign-in issues, at all.

Google reader will work full sceen if you use lcd density changer to make you density 160.

I am currently running Pershoot's OC Kernels (Pershoots 'stock' kernel is what is used on Vegan GB stock install anyway).
However, I've never had an issue with Pulse on any ROM/combo I've tried.
Have you tried to un-install and re-install it?
EDIT:
I was wrong. Pulse IS giving me the same error. I don't always connect Pulse to my G-Reader account. I assumed since Pulse working on my other feeds, that it was working with G-Reader. It wasn't.
I tried changing the time settings from 'Auto' to 'Manual' and that didn't seem to help...
Will update if I find anything that fixes this.
Turns out putting time into '24 hour' format allowed me to log in.
I then changed it back to 'normal' and it looks like its still working.

No, not really. Try changing some of the date settings/timezone, etc.
For me, tweaking a few things and then going back to Pulse allowed me to log in.

Mine was also broken on stock, works fine until I play with manual stuff.. It could make great night photos just with setting shutter speed to 1/2

i think the manual stuff is mostly fixed just let me know what acts crazy so we can fix so far manual control + raw should work
I have problems with camera crashing immediately after I try to select exposure and shutter speed. It worked some time, got broken, worked and broken again. Funny behaviour.

hmm must have been broken with addition of other device could you create a folder named DEBUG inside /DCIM/FreeDCam it will logcat this behaviour then after running camera look inside freedcam for a text file then share that file.
also check CCT and MF if they are working correct
It was misunderstanding. I was talking about official cam that comes with stock firmware.

I wanted to give it a shot to see if there are any improvements and surprisingly it seems much smoother compared to previous versions and the best part is that it's compatible with Quick-Step so all gestures work correctly. You get a dark Google feed and it doesn't seem to be as slow and glitchy as it has been in the past. Also an update to the camera app is available as well that comes with a few new tricks as well! Does anyone know what phone these are pulled from?

Yep, once the app is "upgraded" (becomes a version other than the stock one (usually the one provided most recently through software updates from LG), a small menu becomes available in the app settings (ie App Info > Camera). This menu allows you to uninstall updates to the application and revert to stock.
I just uninstalled the latest camera update (the one listed here) since it didn't really change picture quality and has an icon for "Show new features" that crashes the app. I did update "Home" though and it feels a little better.
Weird, I don't have that icon. The Manual focus seems to be improved, and if you swipe and hold the shutter button left/right, or pinch the screen with a gesture it switches between wide and normal lenses. I don't remember if the previous version worked like that. I feel like AI mode works much smoother, and portrait mode with it's blur adjustment function is improved, but it could just be in my head.

You have to be rooted on Pie and have the Quickstep Magisk Module installed. Using a launcher other than the LG Home launcher, open the Quickswitch app and select LG Home as your recents provider. The module will run a script and reboot your phone. Once your phone restarts, then set LG home as your default launcher.

It's definitely for a different device, but I've had nothing but good results.

I've downloaded both & Home launcher works fine but the camera is not supported completely, Night mode doesn't work, Camera is Slightly good but I found buggy were I a line on pic. so better stay on original version and wait for Android 10 update.

The LG Bridge suite, the program to backup via pc. Ucant backup or restore if have this istalled, the program detects an alteration. This is my experience.
