Proximity Sensor

I noticed what I thought was a defect on the screen of my Thunderbolt and nearly went back to the store and returned it in favor of a new one. The only thing that stopped me from doing so was when I noticed the exact same defect in a high resolution marketing photo. So just an FYI, the little bubble looking thing in the glass above the check mark is actually the proximity sensor. Don't go returning it ^_^

Gets very annoying, when you get off the phone.

I hope my InvisiShield doesn't screw with it! On my Evo there was a cutout for it but on the TB there isn't! I know it's a clear cover but I'm curious as to why the Evo one had a cutout to not block it?

My droid InvisiSHILED had a cutout for the light sensor but not the proximity sensor and it worked fine.

Today was the best worst day ever..My Cappy went for a swim but drowned
Lucky part of my day was that someone was selling an infuse 4g for 50$!!!!
I bought it rooted it and its nice

Infuse doesn't have ICS which ill surely miss but i guess GB will do for now

Haha I think they guy was a crack head looking for his daily fix, had no money so he sacrificed his phone haha...yeah development for the infuse is kind of dead to be honest....its not largely supported.
Come down to AZ man ...a lot of phones for good price.... or find the local crack head with a good phone and offer him money lol

All devs moved on or got the Note and other devs don't want to help with kernels or anything ...so I might sell this bad boy for a good 200 and put some cash in for a Skyrocket idk about the Note seems kinda big

Even skyrocket Dev is not great...i know its better then infuse but...nothing in comparison to OG SG2 or even ATT note

I might consider the Note but just the size seems huge!! I've never actually held it so until I do play with it I'll make my choice

Nothing a new modem can't fix...
Plus Skyrocket is getting ICS soon so the source will be out and different ICS roms will be out as well ..... and Cyanogen will be working all all devices for CM9 (except the infuse sadly)

They said it and even gave out specs on the phones which was mainly 256ram and 1ghz processor was all that was needed

Worst fear was realized today! My beloved cappy took a fall right into the toilet, clean water thankfully! I had to switch to my hd2 for the time being. My cappy is resting comfortably in a bag of rice. I got the battery out so fast that it didn't get wet nor did anything behind the back cover. It may survive, only time will tell. But now I truly feel for you jayrokk

I had a similar incident with another phone ....not my old cappy lol.....
I was pissing and holding my phone with my shoulder and head....and for some reason i lifted my head and the phone just slid down lmao
But that was the tragedy for that haha

I sold my g2x after i got my sgs 2. I have since purchased and rooted a gajillion fones to see what i like and to sell.
Among this phones are htc sensation x3, hd2 x5, sgs vibrant x5, moto defy x3, g2 x5, htc radar, htc glacier
The phone that xonsistantly walks all of these devices including my sgs2 was my g2x.
What i did. Purchased a moar den fubar g2x. All that was left was the main boahrd and camera. I purchased a digitizer and screen and put this thing back to gether just to make it up to the g2x and show it i was sorry for abandonin it and shiet.
The phone is workinh and i dont have screen blled issues at all. The whites are brighter then my sgs 2 #;&%'n shiet. Internetz loahdz faster &*%#'N SHIEEET.
All im missing is the little grill that sits a top the microphone.
I have searched all over for this lil shiet pieces.

Rusty smell... Anyone?

I've had my black HOS for about 3 weeks now and since then it had a distinctive rust odor.. I know it has to do with the micro-arc oxidation thing..but is it normal to have that kind of smell? I wouldn't call this a severe "issue" since it isn't affecting its normal functionality and aesthetics.. not even a scratch. Anyone else experiencing this?

I also used to have a "rust" kind of smell, but found out later that it was the smell of the recycled box.

I can't say I smell hair... However, I work in a machine shop and deal with anodized parts and different types of metals... So I could be used to it.

I can't wait to see how this technology is used in the future and what else it will inspire!

I'm honestly looking forward to what Samsung will do with OLED screens soon. Hopefully they slap one on the GS4. Those things are sick.

I have a feeling that the plastic screen will lose it's shape after a while, have they mentioned durability anywhere?

The skin of the touchscreen has to be flexible, and goes through a lot of repeated stress, so I'd be surprised if the touchscreen stays shiny factory flat for very long.

Looks nice, but I don't think it will keep its shape forever
