no one is working on cm7 because there is no source. Slayher attempted it and he got to a point where without the source there was no success so he stop workin on it. He was the first to get cm and ppl tweaked his cm around but still have same bugs.
Finally! ive been patiently waiting for a real AOSP.

You should talk to topprospect about this; he compiled a working (booting) AOSP rom from the msm8660 source before this was released. Here's a link to his current status on it -------> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22523586&postcount=127
And here's one to his github ------> https://github.com/dferg/android_device_msm8660_skyrocket
Actually we have top helping us out in our team huddle LOL hoping we can get some insight from him

Does this mean it's going to be an American English build without any CIQ?

Come on AOSP...loved xboarders version but it wouldn't take an APN...

Radio isn't working in xboarders build yet. Apn isn't expected to work. Give him some time.

Though this thread is not about all AOSP ROM's, it does mention Cyanogen Mod. Thank you for that. However, I would be happy with any AOSP ROM.
(except the fake "AOSP Style" ROM)
There is no such thing yet.
There is CM7 in development :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1557668
but I wouldn't recommend it if you're not an advanced user who knows what he's doing.

Any general (ballpark even) time frame for when this will be done?
When its done

Just a heads up - people on here HATE to see that question. I recommend you be grateful for what we do have and patient for what is being worked on. Don't ask for timeframes.

Kernels for 21y

Can seem to find any LGE 21y kernels. Faux123-014 worked but all the links are down! Any help? Maybe compile a new list of 21y compatible kernels?
Wow...this needs to be put in the Q&A section not the development section!

No its all good, can just get a mod to move it to the q&a section.

No dice, eh?
Kernels aren't baseband specific, they're OS specific.
Ok, then. I'm running rooted 2.3.4 stock. I had tried a few but had issues. I had luck with faux123 version 014, but I can't find any links that work. What other kernels work well with stock 2.3.4?
Get 014b2 from here faux.androidro.ms/archive/
