I am running CM7 RC1. Here's what happens. Sometimes, the headphones jack won't work; audio does not get routed through it. The headphones are recognized though, as I do get the headphone icon when I plug it in.
In order to fix this, I have to reboot, which is annoying. Are there any ideas on why this is happening, and whether or not this is a hardware or software issue?
Thanks in advance for the help.

For some odd reason, when i connect the headset from htc to listen to music, the speaker also outputs sound while the headset functions normally, in other words - both the headset and the speaker output sound, when the headset is disconnected, the speaker increases it's volume output - it's really annoying as i want only the headphones to output sound, can someone please help so that i can turn off the speaker sound? i don't think i experienced this before, either it's a loose connection on the headset or i turned on something by mistake.
p.s: i've checked the headset, it's connected properly and it's not loose.
can someone please help? thanks
nevermind, it's working fine now.
Wow, you are one lucky bandit.
Hi --
Anybody have this problem?
I have my phone plugged into my car stereo via the headphone jack. I've got the bluetooth headset on because I want to make a call. When I hit the button on my bluetooth, the music comes through my headset, at full volume no less, and I can't hear the voice dial prompts.
So, I'd like to overcome this problem. Does anybody have a solution, workaround or app that they're familiar with that will solve this problem? I'm losing the hearing in my right ear .
Oh, yeah, I have an Evo 4g if it matters.
Thanks!
I hope I am posting in right section. When I stream audio from gtab to prius's Bluetooth multimedia, everything works as expected. However, after disconnecting from car's Bluetooth, sound doesn't come out from gtab's internal speakers. Turning off Bluetooth on grab doesn't help either. I tried different permutations and combinations of stopping music from grab and turning off Bluetooth before turning of car etc. I have to reboot in order to get audio from internal speakers. I had the same behavior with tnt lite 2.2 as well.
Could any one think of possible solution or work around?
plug in and then unplug your earphones. That should restore the speakers. Known hardware bug

Sorry for replying late but I got my hands on my wife's car only today. I confirm that inserting and removing headphones we restore volume from internal speakers
Kibana
Didn't fix me...
Unfortunately, this didn't fix my issue on my dinc w/ cm7
PROBLEM:
Essentially my phone has stopped recognising when headphones have been plugged in, but the headphone port isn't broken since it plays audio through both the speakers and the headphones at the same time. I recognize that this might be a hardware problem, so I'm just looking for a temporary fix. Ideally a small app that allows me to toggle where the sound is played through.
SPECS:
Rooted android 4.4
Cubot s308
ALREADY TRIED:
Checked headphone port for dust/debris using a light, wiggled inside with a cotton bud and so on
Tried a few apps, notably 'sound about' which doesn't actually change anything
Other headsets - all I have tried have the same issue, so its not a headset issue
All other posts I can find are where the headphone out is permanently on, or where the port just doesn't work, so any help would be apreciated.

Hi,
You shall try to ask your question here http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help where you can get expert's help.
Good luck.
Hello!
I can't use my phone's earpiece speaker during calls because the phone insists that a headphone is connected to the headphone jack, despite the fact that the 3.5mm jack is already removed from the device (had a repairman remove it for me).
Apps that should do the trick work only halfway (it reroutes media audio but not in call audio. I have to put it on speaker mode everytime I do a call.)
So, the question is, can I disable wired headset detection on my device using build.prop or any method that tweaks the OS itself? My phone's rooted, btw.
Thanks in advance!
@BsofBordeaux Did you find answer for your question?
Did you get it fix ?
