NEED HELP - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

few weeks ago i used Brk guide to root my transformer and unrooted it with nvflash because i was having problems with deep sleep.. no matter how long i pressed start button it wouldnt start so i went to my friend house and the moment i plugged my xformer to his comp and pressed power button it powered on with 0% on battery so i just charged it and unrroted after chariging it.
so i thought unrooting would solve my problems but even now im still having the problem that xformer turn off by itself and wont power... dunno what else to do.. also dont know if by using nvflash to unroot it everything is stock or not so i dont leave any trace that i rooted my tab.. please any suggestion is welcome

I used the stock-US 8.6.5.9 (for windows) nvflash ROM from here:
http://tabletroms.com/forums/transf...stock-3-2-recovery-roms-unbricking-tools.html
The unit was wiped clean of any trace. My TF was RMA.ed without problem.

u had same problem as me?

got another question, i remember after i rooted my pad it said something like US 8.6.5.9 but now that i have nvflashed i says WW 8.6.5.9 how do i know what kind of tablet i got from US or WW. i bought from amazon USA

Me too, need to unroot.
use nvflash,
i have rooted and unrooted my Asus TF that way, easy as pie.
goes smooth and no issues (rooted to run chainfire 3d, for deadspace to run properly) figured rooted isnt for me I unrooted and everything is fine,
Unrooted
I failed rooting and bricked my TF then unbricked and rooted it then tested out the rooting experience for about an hour, and it is not what I had imagined, so I unrooted it using nvflash. I seriously did not notice that I had backed up my boot.img etc. using a GUI made for rooting that bricked my TF.
I did all this in a 6hr period, .
I have tried to unroot my TF using NVFLASH but I guess I might be something wrong. I think the first problem is that no matter what I do when I try to press volume up and the power button I can't get my TF to do anything. Now if I do volume down and power it prompts me to wipe data. If I power on my TF I can get myself into recovery mode but I'm guessing thats not the right way to do it. Can someone offer some assistance?

Turn the tablet off and then press volume up and power button and plug it in the computer. It will be in apx Mode. Screen stays off in apx mode but you will hear the connection beep from computer.

Transformer going insane

So, Recently a family member of mine told me something was wrong with their transformer. I take a look at it and it's not turning on so i assume it's not charged. I plug in the charger and it does not boot up. The transformer only goes to the eeepad screen with the asus logo and shuts off again. Basically it's in a bootloop but problem is, the tf101 is not rooted or tampered with and on stock fw (Tf101 is a b90 model) Anything i can do to fix??? Couldn't have been any sort of virus either as this transformer was only used for video streaming/ listening to music...

It might need to be reflashed. You could try using the wheelie tool, but the internal storage will be wiped. Sounds like a softbrick.

I had exactly the same problem this week . . . this solved it:

Reflash with NvFlash. Best idea as of now
Hey there,
I have nearly the same problem but my transformer just gets the first screen and then it tries to reboot.
I tried to reflash it with EasyFlasher but it didnt work. Is there a chance that your way will work?
If you can get ADB peri Might work, but just manually do it with NvFlash.
thanks, i'll try that when I hit back home in three days...
It is possible to get it in APX mode, so just put it on and flash?
Do you know why such a big problem occurs? It was on stock firmware and rooted for the last 5 months...
I'm starting to think my issue is related to condensation.
I started leaving the transformer in my bedroom, since my wife gave her tablet to her mother and is now using my transformer to read.
I was happy on HC, stock, non-rooted. My tablet was working with no issues for 3 months, give or take.
But then I started having random reboots and boot loops. Tried almost all roms for the transformer, same issue. Worked fine on the day I installed, got me bootloops the next day.
Today I thought about condensation after getting another round of boot loops and noticing my tablet screen with a bit of humidity. The temperature difference from my bedroom with A/C to my living room with no A/C can get to 15 or 20 celsius.
So I got the bootloop again today and instead of nvflashing the hell out of it as I have been doing, I put it in APX mode (since I have no recovery ATM, so I couldn't power it off) and leave it resting for 3 hours in room temperature. After that I rebooted it and it is now stable again. I will try to confirm those suspicious, but right now it sounds a lot like it for me. It never slept in the bedroom during the 3 months I was in HC.

I'm really not sure, but yes just download a stock nvflashable fw (xdafileserver.nl has some good ones) and put in nvflash mode and run reflash_sbkv#.bat (be sure to import wheelie into the stock fw folder and overwrite)

Regarding condensation, that's odd, but mabye. ..
Thanks, i'll try this when I am at home.
It is in APX mode but the computer doesnt recognise it... it says unknown device...
What shall i do?
That means the drivers are wrong/bad. Did you install any? You need the Universal Naked Drivers. (Search the tf themes and apps forum)
I installed the Asus PC Suite which means that drivers are inclueded, but I am going to search here if you say they are here.
Anyways, I can not find them there...
No, asus drivers is not what you need, you want the universal naked drivers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1514942&highlight=universal+naked
well, that sounds quite nooby but how to install this drivers... i see several different files but absolutley no exe...
it is so embarrassing...
pnputil -a android_apxdriver.inf (or whatever the inf is called)
then plug in the tf
I opened it but nothing changes... the transformer in apx mode is still an unknown device
Have you tried 'update driver' in device manager, then point to the folder with the apx driver?
sure...
same problem with rebooting
I have exactly same problem...! My TF101 is B70 model and NVFlash not work with this model and higher... How I can fix it? is Megatron 1.1.6 installed on tablet and I have rom on sdcard, but reinstall rom not helped me, also wipe + reinsatll...
any ideas?

[Q] Power button problem!

Hi all!
So my problem with my TF 101; the power button! this is the strangest thing, the power button works perfect to turn off\on the screen and to shut down the pad, but when i try to power up the pad nothing happens! i can hold the button down for ever, but still no booting going on!
Only way for me to boot the pad is to connect it to the power\data cable!
i have tried to root the tablet and install REVOLVER ROM but no change, now unrooted and using stock kernel and rom, but still no cigar!
Have read about similar problems, but everyone else is having issues with all the functions of this button.
Anyone have any ideas?
thank for the help!
I've seen this before and people have said they fixed it, but noone explained how -_- I'll look around and see if I can find a solution, did you do a total reflash?
yes, i unrooted, reflashed stock kernel and rom... still the same.
so weird it just won't work to turn the device on, when every other use of the button is painfree!
Try NvFlash --format_all
(Or Nvflash -r --format_all after wheelie if you're sbkv2)
Might fix it. ..
okey! so i finally made some progress... i unrooted and installed stock rom and kernel, then i rooted again and installed MEGATRON ROM with GUEVOR kernel. when finished i tried to power down the tablet and when trying to power up again nothing still happened at first, but suddenly the tablet starts booting!
After trying couple of more times it seem's like the screen is slow to turn on, because the trick i found out is to first hold the power button for a couple of seconds and then just push the power button several times and it comes on.
I am starting to feel like leaving it at that since it really is not a huge problem for me, but i think i will do some more research if only to help with an answere if anyone else encounter the same problem...

Have you search and read some threads about your root, the JB update etc... I think not !!!
So please search and read a little bit before
Secondly, you says that your TF300TG reboot after 5mn later it sleep.
Can you tell us more, please.
Because your explanation is really short. Apparently, you're still in ICS, correct?
Always locked ? and you're in Stock ?

I push the power button and put it on table. I wait 5 mn or 1 mn. My tablet reboot itself. This problem started at my tablet repaired on the service and return. It goes to service because mainboard was break down. In the service change it's mainboard.
I send a e-mail to AsusTEK Computer and it says "please download update files on support.asus.com" I download files and move to it sdcard's main folder.
And I don't root m y tablet but I see root files on my tablet with andftp app. Is it normal???
I don't know English, please ignore my grammar mistakes. Thank you.

If a factory reset doesn't fix your problem I would send it right back to Asus and tell them its not fixed.

[Q] Screen not turning on?

ive got a tf300t with CROMI-X rom, rooted of course, i was using it yesterday, had no problems with it.plugged it in, charged it overnight, and now the acreen doesnt turn on, but i think its working because when i plug it in and un plug it, it makes the sounds i have it set to make when i do so. ive held the power button down for 1 full minute, and it doesnt turn off. what is the problem???
So what I understand is that you installed CROMI-X rom on your TF300. If you press the buttons or you charge your tablet, you hear the sounds. So: your tablet is on.
What I would do: uncharge your tablet wait until your tablet goes off because of the zero battery level. Then charge your tablet again and restore the original version of your TF300T when you bought it (here, I guess).
Then make sure you have the correct everything (drivers ...) installed.
I read this at the topic:
YOU MUST BE ON JB 4.2.1 WITH THE ASUS STOCK BOOTLOADER 10.6.1.8 AND TWRP patched 2.4.4.0 or BOOTLOADER 10.6.1.15.3, 10.6.1.27.1, 10.6.1.27.5 or 10.6.2.x and TWRP 2.5.0.0 BEFORE FLASHING THIS. THE BEST WAY TO DO THIS IS TO FLASH THE STOCK ASUS 10.6.1.27.5 or 10.6.2.x FIRMWARE.

If your 100% sure you have the correct bootloader, TWRP, firmware and drivers: reflash the CROMI-X rom.
I'm pretty sure there are other ways to fix this problem, but this is the only way I would do it.
