I cannot adjust the brightness on this ROM. DId I flash it incorrectly?
The display -> brightness had been grayed out.
i have not had a problem with that....but....
after flashing ANY weapon ROM....i can only install about 3 or 4 apps before it tells me i have "insufficient" storage for any more....
and
after uninstalling a few of them...or even one of them...i cannot install it again...says "insufficient" storage....
i have tried weapon 2.4 and 2.5 with all wiping and cache clearing and still same problem...any solutions?
Just magically working after reboot.....
Also, for the TW launcher, is there a way to change the phone apps at the dock? The stock dialer has no T9 support which is pretty much useless.

Running the infuse 4g i notice that to pick a widget there is a good 30 second to a minute delay no matter what launcher i am using. I have done two factory reset and the stock widget come up fast after the reboot but when you install an app with a widget there is a little delay. This is a none rooted factory fresh stock rom. Is it a bug with froyo that will be fixed with gingerbread or os it an issue? I hope this is the correct spot to post this-
What I did is download advance task killer free or pro. Don't matter. Anyways it kills the apps running in the back ground which wont nake the phone lag anymore

My initial guess is that RFS is sucking as usual. There's a reason an ext4 conversion is such a standard thing for cooked ROMs that it has a name - "Voodoo Lagfix".
But it randomly reboots itself? I didnt see this as a problem, unless I overlooked something. I can be texting and it just reboots itself or does it on its own without me doing anything to the phone.
Is this a known issue? I did a clean wipe with the most recent update install.
HELP!
No it's not a known issue at all. What rom were you coming from, also by "clean wipe" did you format system when coming from that rom?
Same here

I would reflash, I never had any reboots issues while using WeaponG2X.
Hercules, Hercules!!
I am having random reboots too.
Are you guys using cases? I haven't had a random reboot since I stopped using the speck case, and I've been running almost every version of weapon all the way up to 3.0
Running Weapon 2.8 with faux oc/uv kernel without any issues whatsoever. The only reason I'm not on v3 is because I really dig prepend/append battery text.
Same here - been with Weapon for some time now (3.0 currently). Have not had any random reboots. Stable rom.
My girl changed roms because of rebotes and she was coming an older version.
Edit older version if weapons, we thought it was theme so we did two clean wipes after. Formatted system also.

I just did a fresh install of 3.0 coming from CM7.1.0.1 and had a reboot within the first hour. Oh boy...
edit: simply replaced "no" with "boy"
I was having random reboots on weapon g3x 3.0 r1 almost 10 times a day. I was using the rotary lockscreen, and custom notification icons. I wiped everything even formatted /system and did a clean install. I now use AOSP lock screen as well as custom notification icons (m00nman's) and have not had a problem since.

Op states rotary lockscreen is unstable. Cheers
Update:
**Been up all weekend with no reboot. Everything is fast and working as it should.
I am running Weapon 3.0r1 and using the ASOP lock (not rotary) and I am having occasional reboots as well (now true I have had some random re-boots from the debloated Froyo ROM as well), I have also noticed that Tethering is not working either. ( I do have the updated SU, and the permissions set to allow tethering, but neither the USB or the Wi-Fi Tethering option seems to work. It does connect to other devices but it will NOT transfer data. Not sure what is going on, I do like the Weapon ROM, lotsa nice features, quick, etc. Just need to figure out why the tethering is not working and also turn off that damn shutter flash sound, If it were a real SLR the noise wouldnt bother me but this thing is digital, I don't need any fake sounds.
Is anyone else having tethering issues with this specific ROM, (if I flash back to the Froyo ROM, I can get data transfer through either the USB or the Wi-Fi Tethering, but not this ROM, any help would be appreciated.
CM7 #190 seems to be it for me
I love weapon but I always get a black screen and the reboots at least 3 times aday and that doesn't happen with cm7. Or mui rom

I love the ROM cause of all its customized features but I also believe that is the cause of its issues. I ran the ROM from the beginning always doing wipes cause I don' trust flashing over frameworks and stuff, plus I only have a couple apps that I install. Overall I noticed that with each huge customization came another issue weather it was reboot or something else. I rarely get reboots ever, on lots of different ROMS but weapon's latest gave me lots at least once a day if not more, on aosp lock screen and no real custom things done to it. I just liked the pull down notification and status widgets he had... I believe 2.8 was my oldest backup that was a great stable ROM for me.
I did a clean install, meaning format, clear data, clear coach all the good stuff... And I have been using the phone for the last 4 days with out turning off the phone, I have no reboot no gps problem, no problem at all.
Edit, I did not use any lock screen at all. I use an app to disable the lock screen, since there is no option in weapon to disable the lock screen.
G2x Weapon 3.0 R1
I did have random reboots the first couple of days after flashing weapon 3.0 R1 but it has settled down and I actually had my phone running for 6 days straight without a reboot or the dreaded sleep of death. The biggest thing is that I only use the ASOP lockscreen and I haven't been using bluetooth connected to my car (Nissan Rogue) lately. It may have just needed some time to 'settle in'. This has been the most stable ROM I've tried but I've only tried a couple.
I just wanted to be sure that I am going to do this right.
Do I just go Settings > About phone > CyanogenMod updates > then download 10.1 and it will do all the work for me? Or do I have to make a nandroid backup (going to do that anyways), wipe cache and dalvik, flash boot.img then flash the rom?
Also, how stable is 10.1? Any known bugs?

The automatic updater will not work. At least if you're S-On. So flashing through recovery is the way to do it (wipes and boot.img flashing as usual also ofc). I believe flashing CM10.1 over CM10 might work without factory reset, but prepare for stuff not working and flashing it again with proper wiping.
Bugwise I'd say CM10.1 is absolutely ready as a daily driver. Wifi tether doesn't work when screen is off (same issue is with CM10). Performance is a bit lower than with CM10. You'll see some screen tearing when scrolling and switching home screens and in some games with intense graphics.
Give it a go! It's not too hard to go back to CM10 if it doesn't please you.

This will be a tl;dr story so only read it if you can be bothered...
I did the automatic update, then as soon as it downloaded I had to run for the bus (one a bloomin' hour). I was then stuck on the htc splash screen for about ten minutes, did a soft reset, went into recovery, went back to CM10, restored the backup, not a problem. Then got home, pushed 10.1 onto the phone, flashed the new boot.img, then flashed CM10.1 and restored backup again. Worked fine. Then I had to try three different Gapps because two of them didn't actually work, and it was agonising that the website that I got them from only had an upload speed of around 0.4Mbs. But flashed that now, and everything works fine (although I had to delete and re-download NatWest and Play Music).

Spotted a couple of bugs immediately. Syncing with facebook simply does not work (I only wanted contact pictures for caller IDs). Obviously the clock bug, but I know how that is fixed. Haven't had any screen tearing yet, and since Orange only give me 750MB there is nooooooooo way that I am going to use tethering, so that won't bug me. CM10.1 has fixed the music player bug, where the first song I play would take around 30 seconds to play, if I chose another song then it would restart the previous song, play that for five seconds, then play the selected song, and if I paused a song it would then start playing again for a couple of seconds after five seconds of being paused. That was irritating. Noticed it seems to be a fair bit more RAM heavy than CM10, but I miss the settings button on the top of the notification bar, that tiles thing just seems to take to long for my liking...

You can also swipe down with two fingers, or set a specific area that opens the Quick Settings immediately, in Settings

Already knew about the sections thing, but because I'm right-handed every time I wanted to look at a notification I got settings, and setting it so that the settings open on the left side just seems a bit weird. I didn't know about the two fingers thing, and I like that, cheers.
Hello!
Does anybody see following issue before?
It seems that auto-rotate screen option is automatically enabled even if appropriate checkbox is empty in the configuration. I also tried to turn on/off this option, but no result - screen continues to auto-rotate until wipe of applications cache and dalvik-cache I see this issue 3 times per day. It starts on stock firmware, then I moved to 3 different custom version - same behavior. As a bonus, when I pick up incomming call, speakerphone automatically turns on.
I tested it on the pure gmail profile without any applications from Google play
when you say you have tried other ROMS, was this a clean install (after a full wipe) or no?

Yes, it was clean install with full wipe.
So pretty much my auto rotate doesn't work even when its ticked or un-ticked and re-ticked, I even rebooted and nothing. Funny thing is that the accelerometer seems to work when I try a game that uses it so I have no idea what the issue is..
Back story to what I did is I flashed factory 5.0 and tried to root flashing SuperSU but found it didn't work so had to use CF auto root to finally get root working. I then installed all my apps and just used Titanium backup to restore data to my apps not system data. I didn't realized it wasn't working till recently. Anyone have any idea why this would happen or what I could do to fix it? Preferably not having to refresh everything... lol
I don't think Google home or whatever the stock launcher is supports rotation. Does it work when inside other apps?

No it doesn't work in chrome or any other apps that support it thats the issue.
Stock Lollipop via factory images or OTA, or a 5.0 ROM found here?
Same as mine !!!
Having same problem . Will not auto rotate after ota lollipop update . Will rotate and tilt to steer in games and youtube rotates when going to full screen but nothing when turning the phone . I've done a factory reset and now been advised to down grade back to kitkat but I'm not too confident doing that .
Somebody said to give it a couple of hard smacks on side to free y axis , thought they were taking the p-ss but I've just "smacked" mine and now auto rotate working again !!!
Mine has a different thing. I want to disable autorotate in my device, but it won't disable at all. I tried disabling from the quick toggles, from the display settings, and even from accessibility, but my phone still auto-rotates. Is there some way to lock the orientation of the screen?
Edit:
So I decided to wipe cache and dalvik from recovery as a last resort, but not expecting much out of it. To my surprise, it now works as expected. I had to enable auto-rotation again from accessibility, but afterwards it was working perfectly.
It is quite odd however that I am running stock, just unlocked and rooted. No xposed as well, and this happens. I have always hated wiping dalvik as it takes long (longer now in 5.x.x) to rebuild the cache, but I must admit, a lot of the odd issues I have encountered were fixed by these "easy" steps.
