End call button does not work!? - HTC ChaCha

Am I the only guy who has this poblem?
When I trying to end a call by pushing the red button nothing happens.
I even reflashed my phone with the 1.25.709.1
And still experience this issue.
Should I go to the store and achnge my ChaCha or is there other way to fix it?
p.s.
I have S-On phone.

Sigh...

Hard Resetting Omnia

Does anyone know how to reset a Samsung Omnia?
Mine's stuck at bootup and i cun press anything.
I need to know if there's a series of button presses b4 poking
with the stylus to hard reset the phone to factory settings.
Thx in advance.
Did you do anything to the phone, in terms of modification? I was really interested in that thing, but having to do a hard reset on a brand new phone is a little disconcerting...
I tried installed everything that i had on my touch cruise
and everything was working superb.
Then this morning i installed HTC Home Plugin v2.1
and that hung my phone after i restart.
Now i've got no way on getting pass bootup screen.
A google search of "hard reset omnia" yielded this.

26th June 2008: Was advised by the customer service rep (CSR) on the phone that the only way to solve my hanging issue is to bring to your Customer Service Center for a firmware software reinstallation.

How awfully true..
Just got back from the service centre at Plaza Singapura.
Yup. Upgrade of software was the way to go.
The lady did say that the hard reset was the same as HTC,
pressing of the call and end button thingy but mine couldn't work.
Anyway, it was silly of me to go install the HTC Home Plugin.
Thx anyway bros for all replies..
Omnia Rocks!!

turn your phone off, than press red and green buttons and after press phone on, you will get 2 options, 1 format: press phone on, 2 cancel: press phone off, in italy omnia this procedure is working.
It works man!!
Eureka!
Yes it does 2 x's now and one after a firmware update to version i900DXHK3/DXHK3 (Singapore). Which I did earlier today.
I had some how managed to put a pass I could not get right (how who knows).
After several attempts and finally an 8 min. mandatory wait. I did it. My final solution was that I had to wait and keep device awake for time to pass. 8 long agonizing minutes~!
1. Wait till reset timer is elapsed and devices is awake.
2. press both call and end button (ie green and red) I didn't press too light or hard just normal.
3. Push stylus on soft reset and within 5-8 secs eureka format screen.
4. hit call button.
This may not help every one but those with pass problems mab.

100% Stock TP2 on Sprint - Dialer doesn't open when I press talk

Thread title pretty much says it all.. this is kinda hard to google given the keywords. But basically if I press the talk button nothing happens. If I go through the programs menu and click Phone, nothing happens, I just get returned to the Today screen. Same if I click dial from a contact or something.
I was wondering if anyone had _any_ ideas that I could try before doing a hard reset, I'm about to head out of the country for a few days and it'll be a real pain as I won't have time to reload everything.

[Q] Galaxy Nexus Boot Loop (stock)

I have an unlocked HSPA+ Galaxy Nexus imported from the UK to the US. Ordered from Negri Electronics.
It's not rooted or modded in any way.. Mainly because I don't know how to. As far as I know, it's running stock ICS.
I was using it normally, (using the fb messenger app if it makes any difference) when it suddenly rebooted by itself. The Google logo comes up, then the start up animation, and sometimes the home screen will appear but is not touch sensitive (i cannot slide it to unlock), and then it 'hangs' and the screen goes black. Repeat.
I've tried to fix this by myself and there's a video on youtube (sorry, noob here. can't post links. video is by robbidwv and title is "my galaxy nexus won't boot..") of the same problem that I have, but the posted solution doesn't work for me.
So far, I have entered Coin Mode and pressed Start. Entered Fastboot mode and gone into Recovery Mode (no options appear after that. it just starts booting up and the loop begins), and I've also tried Restart Bootloader.
I've almost given up. Now all I want is to extract my SMS, if they're still on my phone. I can't access the folders on my computer because it won't boot up and connect. Is there a way that I can extract my SMS by using DOS in either Coin Mode or Fastboot mode?
Or even better, does anyone have a solution to this boot loop problem? I'll contact Negri Electronics tomorrow and hopefully they can send me a replacement.
Please help!! Thanks
that problem just started happening with me an hour ago!!
i hate this!!
we need a solution please!
Hey guys, sorry about the issue.the major problem I see here is you wanting to retrieve your txt messages, which might be possible with a little Modding, but if yourwilling to lose them to get a working phone back, then this is what your going to have to do. Make sure your phone is completely off. Hold the 2 volume buttons and the power button together. You will get into a mode with an android Guy. Press the volume button up or down until it says reboot recovery at the top. Press the power button. It will rebootand come to a screen with an android. Hold volume up,down and power at the same time. A menu will come up. Go down to wipe data. Click it, and after it is done reboot. Your phone should work now.
If this helped you, or you simply appreciate me taking the time to write this out then please press the thanks button
Hey!
Thanks. Yeah I 'fixed' it already. I was just about to post something similar. After a while I just gave up on trying to recover my data. Good thing that Google syncs everything so the only issue would be recovering my messages, which I decided weren't worth sending it in for a repair which would probably not be able to recover anything anyway.
The thing I didn't know about was to press power + volume up WHILE on the recovery screen. I thought navigating to the recovery screen was it!
Still, this kind of sucks. I love my GNex, but I can't help but be slightly pissed seeing that my crappy iPhone 3GS never did this in the 2 years I had it. Oh well, hope it doesn't happen again!
hey guys! i also did a complete wipe on my phone and got it working again!
but i wonder why this happened in the first place?
last application i installed before the crash was double twist, i dunno why but i feel that it was the reason behind the boot loop!
Sorry for reviving this thread, but I just had this happen to me TWICE!
It happened to me first last Monday, the 23rd - the phone crashed when trying to send an email with an attachment - and went into a boot loop - Google logo would appear, no make it to the animation, and reboot....
I performed a full reset and things worked again. I didn't install all the apps I had before - figuring it must have been due to some app messing with the OS.
Well, it happened again to me yesterday! I was connecting to my bluetooth headset when the phone crashed and went into the boot loop. Full reset worked again, and I've installed even fewer apps - essentially only those that I use on a daily basis.
My phone is still on 4.0.1 and I'm hoping once 4.0.4 is pushed this may get resolved? I have a canadian GNex from Negri. I will call them again (I called the first time, but when the full reset worked I never contacted them again).
I would like to this this is a software issues, and not hardware.
I have the same problem. If you figure it out let me know.
Today my phone also entered a boot loop: [Google logo]->[black screen]->[vibration]->[Repeat]
I tried Recovery Mode, but this is what happens: (sorry for the link but I am not trusted with powerful tools such as outside links apparently, as I have not yet reached the maturity of a person with eight posts... )
dl(dot)dropbox(dot)com/u/53568097/Android.jpg
This is what I see when I navigate to Recovery Mode
For a split second I can see an image of an Android with spinning cogs in his innards, but then this little sad fellow appears. WTF is this?
EDIT:
Oh, and I'm running Android stock 4.0.2, never rooted or unlocked, Swedish. At the time when the phone started doing this, I was using Endomondo, and was about to set off on my bike when it died on me.
Stock ROM galaxy nexus bootlooping after wiping data also.
Hi,
My GNex went into a bootloop so i searched xda and found that factory reseting would be helping my prob. But after wiping the data also its still in going through the loop . Please help .:crying:

Not bricked but won't boot properly

So quick back story about 3 months ago my gf was downloading whatever update Tmo was pushing to stock phones something went haywire and the phone died and the update didn't take and it will only boot to the hboot menu so my question is is this hardware related ie buttons stuck or is there something software related
Side note when entering hboot cant use the volume rockers to select any options.
If its hardware related can someone direct me to a breakdown guide.
Youtube "Mytouch 4g disassembly" will help you.
Yes, it looks like HW problem with your keys or trackpad.

Lost in a stuck HBOOT/FASTBOOT IF I can bring it up, keeps re-booting; bricked??

Hello all, and thanks for having me:
I am here out of desperation. Other Android forums have been telling me that I need the correct RUU file, to get my HTC One X (Evita) back to factory preset(s). That's assuming it has already been wiped. I've been trying for over a month.
I am not, BY ANY STRETCH, knowledgeable in these kinds of smartphone problems. I know nothing about the various terminologies, nor what they represent, i.e. flashing, rooting, etc. I actually think that if some members here could possibly ask ME a couple questions, that that might be a faster way to try and get to the root of the problem, so to speak.
I can tell you that, as I type this, I DID manage to get the "BOOT"?? screen up. It has several commands or options, and three large bar codes at the bottom of that screen. I can also tell you that after I found out about holding down power and pressing volume down 3 times, and wait...my touch controls at the bottom of the phone, flash 15 times and stop. Much more often than not, if I continue to hold those buttons down, the HTC "Brilliant" logo pops up briefly, then disappears, but you can tell by looking closely, the screen isn't totally black, it is grey, still on, and will remain that way until the battery dies...unless I try to do something to turn it off.
Apologies for the long post. To me, this takes a more verbose explanation than it probably would those more "experienced" with the technological aspects involved in any attempt to "repair" the phone.
I need to add that, when the phone was purchased, it was bought for me, by my wife, for 1 penny, as part of an AT&T promotion. It has the AT&T logo molded into the top center of the phone, and that there are/were many AT&T apps in the phone. My wife told me long ago, that AT&T had the phone locked, and that their apps could not be removed.
We no longer use AT&T as our carrier. We use Consumer Cellular. To anyone with any expertise, advice, knowledge, etc., that could possibly aid in my restoring the phone back to what I refer to as "normal Android", I would be forever in your debt. I am disabled, and on a pittance of Social Security benefits. With prices of GOOD smartphones today, I seriously doubt I would ever be able to afford even a used one. Thanks very much. Again, my apologies for the "novel".
Its been a while since i have done an RUU as i dont own an HTC anymore but if you have access to a pc this might work.
Steps
1. Download the RUU for your device from here: http://www.htc.com/us/support/rom-downloads.html
2. Put the device into bootloader mode. (black screen with the android in the center has options for recovery, ect)
3. make sure drivers are set up on the PC and run RUU.
This "should" put you back to 100% factory settings and return the device to "out of the box" android. Again this is done at your own risk as i dont know for sure what state your device is in unless i can see it personally.
Hope this helps
Wolf
I have finally gotten to the previously mentioned "unnamed" screen. This screen has a much shorter menu. Please recall that at the top of the FIRST and only screen I was able to get said "HBOOT" at the top, above a list of various details such as the Evita name, Radio, openDSP,etc. At the top of this one, it says ***LOCKED***, above the like details mentioned.
There is then, in the center of the menu, a red highlighted "FASTBOOT AC" that cannot be selected for anything that I know of. Finally, the possible workable selections are, from top to bottom, read BOOTLOADER, REBOOT, REBOOT BOOTLOADER, and POWER DOWN.
If by "the Android" mentioned by SynisterWolf, she means the green robot icon(s), there are three of them on skateboards at the bottom of this screen. These observations are all that I know, with regard to the main issue at hand.
I have the RUU already stored in my PC, but the exact procedure to execute from this point forward is still unclear. After all, I am a self-confessed "pre-novice". ANY help would be greatly appreciated. I haven't had my phone in a normal Android state for nearly 2 months.
I had already made it known that I do not see a black screen as described by SynisterWolf above. At present, ( 12am/Thursday, 4/20 ), I was going to take the leap, go ahead and run the RUU. As soon as I plugged in the USB, my PC gave me a message that it isn't recognizing the phone. Now, I am even more perplexed than before. It is far past the point where I REALLY NEED this phone. If anyone could assist with a possible solution to my super-dilemma, I would be forever in your debt. Thanks very much to all members here.
