( They will appear as @string/theme_name so just try. I don't know how to fix this yet )
This is how to make this patch work with other themes.
1 : Pull theme APK from device ( titanium backup would work fine )
2 : Unpack the APK
3 : Make a semi transparent 480x38 png named statusbar_background2 and place it in /Res/Drawable-HDPI ( it does not have to replace the old statusbar background. ) It can have textures or just transparent. This part will replace your old statusbar background. (You can pull it off another transparent APK. Will not tell you which theme go search )
3 : Go into /Res/XML and find com_android_systemui.xml and open with a text editor.
4 : Find the lines
@drawable/statusbar_background.9
Click to collapse
and change it to
@drawable/statusbar_background2
Click to collapse
( Change the item name to the png you've made )
If it's not there just add the 2nd line with red words
Then repack your apk and install and apply. Should work! if it does not, contact me.
Once again this flashable zip file belongs to ZduneX25 and not me. Make sure to check out the original thread

If you look at the taskbar or window frames in Vista/7 you can see it's blurred (if Aero is enabled). So what I'm asking is if it's possible to add this kind of blur to transparent parts of the Android GUI. I came to think of it when I noticed that the background gets blurred when you open "Phone options" by long-pressing the power button.

Hi Guys,
I am back with a new theme Ultimate-Green-Tripin. The theme is based on Jumba's_NeonGT v2.3. The full credit goes to the original creator Jumba for creating such a wonderful theme. Its ported by me from Jumba's_NeonGT v2.3 to our device. It took me long time to correct the bugs. But finally it is here for you guys.
Most of it has been ported, but few things may be slight different due to limitations of editing .xml files.
The features of the theme are:
1% Battery indicator
Flip Animations -To activate animations goto Menu>Settings>display>All animations
Completely Green user interface with Green colored icons
Transparent pull down bar
Colourful themed Menu
Themed Status bar Music widget and Quick Widgets for GPS, Bluetooth, wifi etc.
Themed Applications:
Settings, Touchwiz, Calculator, Clockpackage, contacts, Dialertabactivity, Phone, Mediaprovider and Jobmanager.
How to install:
Requirements:
Deodexed XXKB3 FW
The theme is uploaded as update.zip file signed for update using modded 3e recovery bu Skin.
Download the zip file, rename it as update.zip.
Put it on root of your sdcard enter into recovery mode and update.
Reboot the device.
Or
Replace the Framework files into the /system/framework folder and app into the /system/app folder using root explorer with write permission.
DOWNLOAD
____________________________________________________________________________________________UPDATE 13.07.2011
Ultimate-Green-Tripin now comes with extended Power menu. Fixed Download percent font colour and the %battery display bug on lock screen for French. Its a full theme in CWM compatible update zip
Format. To flash it, just enter into recovery and select the zip from SDCARD to update the theme.
DOWNLOAD
To return to Stock Just DOWNLOAD and flash the zip in recovery..............................

will ur theme work in 2.3.4?
@krraazzy, I really dint know man that you have already taken initiative and done it. I did it bcoz a local friend had pmed me for this. The framework part took little longer due to usage of combination of two different font colours. It took off my 3 days of precious after office hours to figure out and fix the bugs. I could have saved some time if I knew you already worked on it. Infact if you check you will definitely see some differences as i added my own tweaks to remove those imperfections when ported to I9003 framework. I have not used ur theme so dont know how you overcame those problems. Anyways as now I have already ported it, let forum members get benefitted from this. I never wanted to take any credit for your work. To avoid confusion in future, I will create a separate thread for themes for I9003 with links to all themes and will update whenever find time.

@sakindia, it will not work on GB. Will have to port it. But no point in porting it yet, till we have a stable usable rom.

Excellent theme, really liked it. Only need some transparency in status bar and menus, I think I can manage that.
Some of my items (Quick Exit and Lookout) in notification bar have black font and can't be seen, how to change that? Unable to post a screenshot.
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA App
Put only framework files for nondeodexed rom. If you want those apply to work you will have to remove corresponding odex files of those apps and then replace the APK files, the theme should then even work with nondeodexed rom. But please do at ur own risk, if you don't understand all these better to avoid.

OK forgive me I'm just setting this thread up so it may be a little messy.
I'd like to thank Kfunk for the sliders and a few other icons I used in a few of my morphs his Dark Horse Theme can be found HERE also anyone who has ever made a theme , for most of the icons I use come from others work, I don't remember off hand where I got theme all.
If anyone sees there icons and would like there name on here or wants them removed just pm me.
Sorry there are to many names to try and track down.
Post 2 will be rings I made that were requested by xda members.
These are some morphs I made that should work on any hdpi cm7 based ROM.
If anyone has any cool pics that would make a nice lockring let me know and I'll try to make it when I have time.
To use these I recommend using the app zipthemer its free on the market and very easy to use.
Instructions for zipthemer.
When you first open zipthemer it will create a folder on your sdcard named zipthemer. Take the morph and place it in that folder , now when you run the app again hit theme and pick the theme you want to build, then hit build it , it should give you the option to create an undo zip at the same time it builds the update zip. Once its finished you should have 2 zips on your sdcard just flash the one that says update from recovery after wiping cache and dalvik cache first then if you don't like my work just go back and flash the undo zip.
For those who don't already know you can make more then one theme at a time , so if you grab a lock ring and an icon set you can build both at the same time and make it one flashable zip to flash.
I hope I explained that clear enough for you guys.
Always nandroid first I shouldn't even need to tell anyone one this.

Did you run it in zipthemer then flash the update zip made on your card?
What exactly did you do what steps did you do.
I'm using that one right now but I'll check it out.

Hi All......
In this short youtube video I will guide you how to change the color of
full signal barindicator directly on your phone. After getting the idea
you can use your imagination & creativity through this super tool
"Ninjamorph".
Features:
1. No PC or programming required. Change the theme directly on phone with easy steps.
2. Inbuilt APK archiver and image editor.
3. Ability to replace files from external sources/pc.
4. Free and small size.
Watch Video Tutorial on Youtube
Quick review of steps taken in above Video:
1. Open Ninjamorph after installing from Android Market.
2. Click on New Project and open System\App\SystemUI.apk (It will extract the SystemUI.Apk automatically).
3. Then open res\drawable-hdpi\stat_sys_signal_5.png (long press on image file then select Edit Image).
4. Edit the image and select Save by pressing menu softkey.
5. Do the same with image file stat_sys_signal_5_fully.png
6. Click on back button and hit the Finish Button.
7. Select SystemUIapk to apply the project. (This will create the package automatically)
8. Hit the Yes on popup menu (3 times)
9. At last "All Done" will appear.
10. Reboot your phone ("Force Close" popup menu will appear, all will settle after reboot).
Another Good tutorial I got on Youtube (Credits:GFURR1)

Download:
Download free version from Android Market (same was used in video).
You can also support the developer by purchasing this Pro Version.
Important Notes
1. Editing system files involves risk. If you are not sure what are you doing please don't do anything then.
2. Always create backup of Apk file before editing. Use Root explorer to replace the same if changes are not upto mark.
3. This App seems incompatible with framework-res.apk.
DISCLAIMER
If something wrong happen please don't blame me or developer for the same. Use this tool at your own responsibility.
Please Share your creative work with screenshots/file source in this thread
Congratulations on your one-hundredth post. Thank you for sharing this. I will definitely give it a try.

If it's froyo then you can change clock font colors in services.jar file..
/system/framework/services.jar
FOR Gingerbread,
Files that have to be edited:
1) /system/app/SystemUI.apk
2) DECOMPILED_DIR/res/layout/status_bar.xml
For Clock
Search for a line that begins with "<com.android.systemui.statusbar.Clock". You now have two ways for changing the font-style and color:
Adding android:textColor="TEXTCOLOR" and/or android:textStyle="TEXTSTYLE", where TEXTCOLOR can be a HTML color (#TTRRGGBB - TT means transparency) and TEXTSTYLE can be "bold", "bold|italic", "italic" or ""
Changing the style of android:textAppearance. This can be easier but keep in mind that this style could be used somewhere else.

This wouldnt work unless it can edit decompiled smali code. But the clock is not an image, which is what this looks like it edits.

Yes, I Liked it....
This is just the Original Design idea by the developer and not all of it could be implemented due to the OS/Theme Chooser limitations but the theme is great nonetheless

Hey Everyone!
Recently I was looking for themes for CM10.1 and I came across this and I really loved it. It makes everything from the dialer to the messages app transparent letting your background shine through. Although this theme isn't for MDPI so I had to change the lcd density to apply the theme, but there is no other problem with the theme.
I've tested this theme on CM10.1, CM10 and AOKP JB
Here is the link to the theme: http://goo.gl/5tDoJ
There's also the Donate Version:http://goo.gl/eRlGk
Build Prop Editor to change the lcd density:http://goo.gl/IEPlo
And here is the developer's thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2179705
Steps to Apply the Theme:
1. Download the theme and Build Prop Editor from the above links and install it
2. Open Build Prop Editor and change the lcd density from 160 to 145 and then reboot the device
3. Now open theme settings and apply the theme(It will show that its missing assets for your screen size but select apply anyway)
4. Open Build Prop Editor again and change lcd density from 145 to 160 and reboot
5. That's it. You are done

Transparent Statusbar on CM10
I modded the SystemUI.apk and made the statusbar transparent and also the notification tray
@shortyoko
If anyone wants the wallpaper shown in the preview: http://i.imgur.com/Z516pr4.jpg
(Couldn't find a way to set it without extracting it and setting it manually).
Credits to the original author of the theme, of course.
deepsagarj: Could you share the modded APK, or at least how you did it? As shortyoko said, that would really complete this very nice theme.

Really nice find. I never loved themes, neither took time to install them . But this one is great. Beats the rest~Hands down, except for the status bar, which I would prefer blue connection not the white one.. .regardless, I'm keeping it. Thanks for sharing.

Please add share tag in the topic heading. That's a XDA Rule. I'm not being rude just letting you know.

It showed for a second for me, then it went back to the default ICS wallpaper. I figured it was a resolution problem, do you have your lcd_density set to something different perhaps?

No. I did 140.
The theme was downloaded from play store. I tried to modify it(change connection colors to blue) and then install it ~same thing what you said happened, when I modified it.

Ah, I installed it from the APK I think...maybe that's why.

Even I like it blue and I talked to Mix3d about it, but ultimately its his decision and white goes together with other elements of the theme so he kept it white

If you edit (manual coloring) the drawable-xhdpi~
stat_sys_data_fully_connected_e.png
stat_sys_data_fully_connected_h.png
stat_sys_signal_4_fully.png
And other related files,it could be made blue.
I tried deleting systemui.XML in xml folder. It worked, but phone hangs after a while. May be editing should work, but I can't

I'm trying to switch back to the System theme (i.e. the default one), but I seem to be having trouble. It says "Applying System..." and gives no error or anything, but nothing changes afterwards.
Do I need to switch back to 145 lcd_density again to switch back to the default theme? I wouldn't have thought so seeing as the default theme is presumably made for the correct pixel density, but I guess I'll try it...any other suggestions if this doesn't work?
EDIT: Switching the lcd_density seems to have worked.

I don't know why that happened as I was able to switch back to system without any problems without changing the lcd density
Hey Everyone,
I was really bored of the Opaque statusbar so I decided to make the Statusbar and the Notification tray tranparent so I modded the SystemUI.apk and it looks great

CyanogenMod9:
I modded the CM9 Statusbar to make it transparent, so here are the zips, just flash them from recovery:
As earlier I've three different versions for three different transparency values of the statusbar
100%-http://d-h.st/YrS
90%-http://d-h.st/72O
80%-http://d-h.st/qED
Just flash the zip from recovery and you're done
CyanogenMod10:
I like the notification tray to be 75% transparent but I've noticed that some people like different transparency percentage for the notification tray so I made a few modded apks for different percentages
And as some people are too lazy to push the apk to system themself so I've made flashable zips for those people
100%-http://d-h.st/cTv
75%-http://d-h.st/0TL
50%-http://d-h.st/yri
25%-http://d-h.st/fYl
15%-http://d-h.st/GrC
Download the zip you want and just flash it from recovery and enjoy!!!
CyanogenMod10.2:
So here it is guys, I have provided the apks with 100% and 80% transparency for the Status Bar, there's one minor problem though, if you flash the 100% one then in apps with no Statusbar background you'll notice some glitches, reason of which I haven't been able to figure out as yet, but the 80% looks good even in apps with no Statusbar background.
100%-http://d-h.st/97s
80%-http://d-h.st/I7W
Links for CM10.2 will be up soon
Hit the thanks button if you like it
Any way to make it look better in apps which don't draw anything behind the status bar? (e.g. The xda app) I'm guessing there isn't but figured I'd ask anyway...

Revert back to what?
Nd you could also use a different launcher to get rid of the shadow that shows the separation
Revert in the sense back to default status bar..( though it may not be neccesary as its just awesome )
Well if you want to revert back to default then just extract the SystemUI.apk from the ROM's zip nd push it to system/app/ nd set permissions
