Inspire 4G shutdown issue - HTC Inspire 4G

Hi
Just received an Inspire 4G used off of eBay. I used the hack ace to get s-off and sim unlock. My company is Claro.
So after the hack ace I updated to Android Revolution HD using the No-Sense script. Then the next day whenever I took a flash picture or try to make a phone call the phone would shut off. I changed the ROM to ClearDroid and it didnt worked. Now I downloaded a stock Rom rooted hsupa with sideloading and its still shutting off. It doesnt shuts off so often when I remove the sim card..
Help!

I've been having similar issues. My inspire only will stay on when it is connected to the charger...

Yes. And now if I remove the sim card it lasts longer...
Any workaround this issue???

Rooting by z4Root?

I was wanting to know the opinions of you guys about z4Root and the possibility of being able to root the Inspire this way. If you look at the OP for z4Root it lists the Desire HD as a device that isn't capable of permanent root. As most of you know, the Inspire is essentially the Desire HD. I don't know if it would be worth rooting the phone every time I shut down the phone.

If your that worried about rooting use the kit...
Z4 will not work. I tried it. I used the kit.
Z4root
Has anyone tried z4root ?

Ya I have tried it just hangs
No go for me.

'rageagainstthecage' just eats up CPU cycles, but it does nothing.
Are there any downfalls from using the kit? Will I lose anything? I know sound didn't work but isn't that fixed now?

Really? I'm actually running it right now, I have no lag and no reboot. I am running lordmods kernel so not sure if that is why I'm not experiencing any of your issues

No ext3 yet so you'd be better off selecting ext2

Uh oh
so after i installed MIUI with the dual boot app, it asked me if I wanted to boot into it. I am now sitting am my boot screen and it's not budging. I pulled the battery out and tried the volume up and power button but it vibrated a few times and gave me a blinking amber light. I am rebooting and sitting at a boot screen again after pulling the battery. I have ext4 recovery installed as well and cant get to hboot and then recovery. What do i do now?
after trying volume down and power, im good.
Been awhile since I last had to do this
so, what's the deal with the boot issue I had with this app.. Anyone else?

Did you install using ext2? Also did you let it sit long enough? When I first installed a rom, it took around 7 minutes on the white htc screen and then it booted. Its using your sdcard so your first boot is way longer than usual
Interesting maybe illvfinallyvtry miui, specially since ibjust picked up a 16 class 4 for 20 bucks muahaha O.O

Yes there is. Go to install ROM and click on the kernel then click install kernel and install the kernel on the ROM you want

Oh yes. This is awesome, had no idea it was even possible.
How long is it taking on your first boot? I've left my phone for 15 min and it never left the htc screen, you?

My inspire has completely stopped working

I've been running miui 2.3 on my inspire 4g quite successfully for quite some time now with the tiamat kernel and inspire mod but this morning when I tried to turn it on nothing happened. I tried connecting it to my computer but it couldn't find the drivers for it and then proceeded to yell at me Whenever I tried to connect it further. I've tried charging the battery in my brothers phone to see if that was the problem and it worked fine. So I came here to see if anyone could find someway to recover my phone. If you need any other information I'll try to help you out.

Hi,
I presume you made a nandroid backup.
Restore it.
Didn't backup first?
Why not?
Only option left is to reflash the ROM...
Wow really. OK. I guess that happens. Too bad no way to fix.
Its 6.5.5 ARHD on T-Mobile, I've been meaning to update to 1.2.2 T-Mobile.
I feel stupid considering how meaningless that mod was to kill my ROM.

But, my phone died at 15%. Gotta fix that somehow. I have anker. Any idea?

Hi,
That happened to me a couple of times when I was on 6.7.2
No reason was ever found.
It did seem to fix itself.

Phone problem

Well sold my old htc inspire which was rooted and running Jellytime. The guy I sold it to, plugged it into HtC sync and installed a sense rom via sync. Now it does not work and read his sim card and now he wants a refund. The phone is bricked?
Please help.

Can't you just flash a sense kernel in fastboot for him? Should be fine after that.
