Just purchased an infuse off somebody on craigslist.. Realized after 4 unsucessful restores that the auto focus isnt working. I did notice back camera isnt properly aligned. Tried contacting samsung and att and they wont repair/replace because the warranty is non transferable. Any suggestions?

Try flashing any custom ROM from here (I am on infused 2.1.0). Hopefully this should solve ur issue.
Didnt.. Its faulty camera.. Curious if I could get this part replaced or etc...

I can't seem to get any service from my carrier. The phone can get reception/signal, it's just the phone displays No Service from the pull down notifications. And when I go into mobile settings and try to search for a network or anything, It says "Error while searching for networks." Is this the antenna problem? Would I have to open up the phone and adjust something? btw does anyone know where the antenna is located at?

Well, this was happening when I was on the stock os. When I bought this it seem to got connection and then suddenly it stopped getting connection. I'm currently on Glorious Overdose V2.

Sounds like a hardware defect or Sim card issue.

I unlocked the sidekick, tried a ATT simcard got good reception like Tmobile, but still no service. Do you know where the antenna is in the sidekick?
Its probally an antena prob because surprisingly I droped my old samsung gravity smart in water by accident and my first thought was to take the battery out and let it dry,that succeeded on letting me turn it on fully but I had no reception what so ever which is odd but this sounds off topic a lil but I ended up bricking it o.o normaly t-mobile themselfs sometimes making horrible phones don't get me wrong their good but most of them are 2.2 froyo ._.

Did this happen to anyone else? I've called at&t and they said to call google so i did and they said to call AT&T. Frustrating! I've even tried wiping my phone and still that option is gone. Any ideas?

Have you flashed your phone recently? I always lose the option for a day or two when I flash a new rom.

Nope I haven't. It seems like it went missing after i updated to ICS which was not too long ago when i finally updated. Really odd...my wife has the HTC Vivid and she is running ICS and she still has that option available.

I know its working for me now. You might have to update the play store (current version is 3.9.16)
You can usually force it by clearing data and cache for the play store, or you can search xda for the apk and manually install it.

Yes i currently have this going on. I too have called att and google and they both said to call the other. I've tried a factory reset twice, cleared all google data and edited my build.prop a few times and nothing. I have also tried different versions of the play store as well. Its frustrating as hell. When i want to use carrier billing instead of a credit card i have to take my sim card out of my a2 and put it in my old infuse and it works fine. I'm going into my local att store this week sometime and getting a new sim card. Hopefully that will work but i highly doubt it.

Well that takes care of that idea. That saves me from dealing with att. I think that the problem is within the firmware but i could be wrong.

I'm having the same issue. I couldn't even tell you when it started, but it was before I upgraded to ics. I don't do the credit card thing and carrier billing is very convenient. Wonder if it's a Motorola issue...
Google wallet doesn't recognize this device. You can manage your devices from their web site and A2 will not show up at all.

Well the same thing happened on my xperia ion also..i had a samsung galaxy skyrocket and I didn't lose my option on that phone. So it worked on my skyrocket and didn't on my ion and now not on my atrix 2. My wife has the htc vivid and she still has that option.

Happened to me, after scripting from ICS 1st leak, back to GB 2.3.5, then OTA to 2.3.6. Had Titanium BU tell me my phones id number had changed and asked if I wanted the new one or the old one, selected old one, but, I don't have that option anymore for bill to phone.

I thought that issue was fixed in one of the updates? I also know that Samsung had replaced phones having that issue claiming it was a firmware issue....
Yes, unfortunately they have publicly claimed to fix the problem taking it off the radar but even a quick Google search on the issue shows that none of those things have worked. Hence the hopes that someone will see the issue go away with the jellybean update. It's a long shot but we can always hope.

I was working with someone else yesterday who had this issue... They contacted Samsung directly who agreed the problem was supposed to be solved and agreed to send them 2 replacements.....

Well, I've called samsung several times and they assure me it's the first time they've ever heard of the problem. Also, as I said before, if you google the issue you'll find that even the units samsung claims to have fixed are still not working. I'm you're a verizon rep. which would be even more discouraging to me because that means that you guys are convinced the issue has been fixed when it isn't. That said if you know of someone I can contact at samsung that would send me a working phone I would love it. All they've offered me is to send it in to them (leaving me without a phone for at least two weeks) so they can fix it (which as I've said before has been done by others and not worked).
Ive never seen that error once on my phones (had 2 of em). Why not just warranty you phone thru verizon till you get one without the error?

Because it does not work.
I have read not one case of anyone getting a fixed phone. The problem is it is not a problem with the phone alone, it is something with this phone and only certain towers.

I've had a problem with my skyrocket for quite some time now. No matter which radio, ROM, or kernel I use the data will be hit and miss and so won't phone calls and messaging. I've already had one skyrocket replaced because of this issue and even got a replacement SIM card to no avail. I get full bars of H+ service. I've tried adding different APNs as well. The AT&T store is obviously stumped (they are basically worthless) and phone support is no better. I was wondering if anyone knew of this problem and what caused it or a way to fix it.

Yes, I tried going back to the stock touch wiz ICs ROM to no avail. I even left my new phone on stock whie never being rooted and had the same problem.

To be real I doubt I your got a dud phone 2x I would try to get ur carrier to change it to something else... because all those symptons point to a bad antenna on a phone

I will take it to them and try to get a replacement or a different phone. I got my first one within the 30 day return period but I have had my current phone for about two months. I also forgot to mention that if I throw it against the wall or smack it against my hand, the message will usually go through. Now, I don't usually go throwing my electronics around haha. I only did this after it started happening and that always seemed to make it work.

Would anyone know why my WIFI works perfect when Bluetooth is not on, then WIFI gets authentication errors when Bluetooth is turned on? Soon as I turn off Bluetooth WIFI works again when I reconnect to network. Thanks.
I've not noticed anything on mine. Have you done anything to it such as root/unlock/cwm/ROM?
Its unlocked, with CWM and doubleshot 1.5, but unfortunately I cant remember if it was doing it when it was stock.
Have you tried factory reset? Even reflashing the ROM? I just tested it on mine and it works fine. If not, you may have some bad hardware.
I just tested BT and Wifi on mine with 0 issues. Paired it with my s3 with wifi browsing a few websites and it didn't break.
Tried reflashing, ended up returning it. Thanks for quick reply and help. New one works perfect.
I messed up and didn't unlock the boot loader... Should I wait for stock firm ware or take it back to Verizon... And if so what should I say
