GPS Wont Start Daily

I am noticing a trend now... Each morning the GPS wont start. I startup maps in the morning, and I get no GPS icon. (AGPS still works) When I turn GPS off, GPS won't turn on again... A reboot is required to fix the problem.
2nd phone now with this issue... starting to wonder if its related to charging all night...

I don't think it is related to charging, randomly my GPS will get stuck, either when I first try to use it, or after it has been in use for a while, the GPS icon just sits there, and it won't lock on, and I have to reboot.
Annoying to reboot when you're driving in an area where you're actually relying on the nav to be working!

I've had this issue too. I really hope they come out with an update soon. Love this phone besides the small nuances.

Weird, I don't have this problem but I do have a problem if I leave my WiFi on all night while it's charging. If I do, in the morning when I take it off the charger, the WiFi icon is gone and my 4G icon just keeps flashing every 5 seconds. It won't stop flashing and my phone will not have data until I reboot. Now I just turn off WiFi before going to bed since it doesn't happen any other time.

The easiest way to fix that is reconnect your wifi then while connected to wifi turn wifi off. Boom.

Did you guys get this GPS issue resolved with the new ROMS? I have the same problem and it doesn't seem to change if I use the stock Froyo or latest CM7.
Reboot and the GPS locks pretty quickly.

Do you have new baseband?
That has been giving me instant locks

My GPS is "better" with the new baseband, but that is a highly relative term. It still takes 5 minutes or more to connect usually. The oddest thing though is when I go into GPS Status, I can see it is locked onto 7 or 8 satellites, but still doesn't have a lock, which is dumb because at least 4 should have a perfect lock. I will NEVER buy another LG phone in my life. Wish I'd have just waited for the Sensation, ugh.

My phone was from Wind Canada which has a baseband from Jun 7, 2011. If I am correct, there is no way I can even try the new T-mobile basedband that came with the GB update. LG updater says my phone is up-to-date, and I have not been able to find on the forums here a flashable file for the new baseband.
We're not sure when the Wind version of the GB update is coming. Hopefully soon, but the phone only launched here about 5 weeks ago.
Any other ideas?

[Q] Modem seems to freeze/reset - drops service

I have a funky issue I believe with my modem. It mostly happens when I'm tethering and using high amounts of bandwidth and the phone gets very warm. The phone just loses service completely, sits there with no service for about 10 seconds then reconnects and gains service again. Its very strange and annoying. Any ideas what could cause this?

Sorry to bump my own post, but another thing I notice is when my modem does freeze, I can't e en select airplane mode... it just sits there trying to disable the modem, but isn't able to. I have to reboot to get it working again

[Q] WIFI issues on CM7

i'm having weird issues with wifi on my infuse...
with all the other roms i've tried so far the wifi signal has stayed pretty solid, but with the compiled CM7 rom wifi stops working if the phone sits idle for any random amount of time. sometimes it works after the phone sits for 30 minutes +, sometimes it dies if i just lock and unlock the screen..
any tips? what information can i provide to help?

Go to wireless settings, then wifi settings, hit menu, advanced, then change sleep policy to never. For some reason cm7 doesn't default to this. Should help

My problems are somewhat similar on the newest CM7. Mine is stuck on "obtaining IP address, then my WIFI says "disconnected" then it reconnects and still says "obtaining IP address". Please help anyone...!

Just to add too, I have reflashed the rom 2 times same problem each time.

Can't regain signal without restarting

Completely stock phone... I never messed with it from day 1.
So here's the thing... everytime I take a subway and after the get out from underground the phone never regains the 4g data icons... the signals are there but it doesnt let me browse the web or use any apps that require a data signal.
Restarting the phone solves the problem...
But at work everytime I go to the basement and come out.. I completely lose the signal and do not automatically regain it once I'm out on the street... this made me miss many calls and incoming texts... I also switched my sum card 2 weeks ago for the newest 4g Sims... it helped for about 2 days.. but now same thing happens all over again..
Any tips?

Did that... it rarely works... but either way... its not good when a phone can't regain a signal... because its in my jeans the whole time... and I get a lot of missed calls due to that... its horrible.

If you've always been using stock, then you should try your hand at flashing GB.
Try out some new modems too. It might solve your problem.

[Q] random reboot on ics

i tried CM9, dark knight and uniporn.
all these roms are rebooting randomly.

Never once had that on any ics rom

Could be a number of things...my guess is that it has something to do with wifi attempting to reconnect. Why exactly? I have looked at a couple of logcats and really can't pinpoint the problem.

I had reboots when my wifi is off also.

When wifi wont reconnect after waking up phone. The phone will reboot happen to me many times on ics

I think its more of an issue then just Wifi... For example.. With wifi completely turned off, i have been noticing that it will randomly reboot when receiving a text message... Normally only 1 time every to every other day...
