[Q] D2-711 Tablet

Hello, can anyone point me to a thread on unlocking the D2-711 tablet? I found one in youtube but it doesn't explain anything really.
It is android 4.0.4, I wonder if I could use the same commands as I do on my HTC DNA? Just wanting to confirm before I do anything.

It's a Maxevis MX-8q 8inch tablet Running Android version 4.1.1 .
Please let me know what other info you may need
I have rooted my Nexus 7 before but this is more complicated as I don't know which file to run!

I have a ainol novo 7 tornados here and im just wondering is there a way to replace the operating system? A better version of android maybe. Ive looked everywhere and cant seem to find an answer. Hope someone here can help.
