Hello everyone!
I'm using a HTC Trophy with the Mango RTM software. I tried to install the official HTC Mango software, but the Update failed with error 294, invalid vendor id because my phone is branded for A1, Austria.
Is there any way to install this unbranded firmware onto my branded phone? I considered inserting another modelid.fig from a official A1 firmware, but i found no A1 branded firmware image at all... Another way would be to unbrand that phone and install the unbranded firmware, but I found no way to unbrand that phone without disassembing it to get the sd card. There seems to be no way to run this software on A1 branded phones...

I was wondering, With my old nokia, to install a a different but 'Official' rom all that had to be done was to change the product code for the Nokia device, eg 2201 would be vodafone uk 2202 would be Nokia Euro unbranded.
I was wondering would it be possible for this to be done with an android device, (install uk unbranded) but also recieve all other updated released by HTC like a normal unbradned user, as this is what could be done on a nokia.
HTC must have some way to idenfy what type of phone is what (UK Voda branded or otherwise)
or would I simply have to wait for root/s-off and then install the Eu rom (and still be able to install updates released by HTC)
The way they identify which gets which, is by the rom on it, the rom version is the product id When we get open bootloader we can flash some other rom, and then install updates from that country

I have an India model Sensation and I haven't received the OTA update as of yet. I called HTC and they advised that the update is not available in that region yet.
I've tried to use the Tmobile version but it doesn't work.
If any one has the European update file I'd be very grateful if they can post it somewhere I can download it.

I have an unlocked/sim free retail box of the HTC Sensation which was given to my by HTC (long story). I live in Ireland and I have not received the OTA update yet either. My friend is on Vodafone IE and has got the software update, I assumed I would have had it pushed to my handset first but this has not been the case. I have tried keying in ' *#*#checkin#*#* ' to get any missed updates but nothing available yet. Does anyone else have this problem with an unlocked handset?
If possible as above I'd like the updatepackage.zip .
Lastly I'm on O2 IRL who don't carry the Sensation but I don't think that would matter as my handset is not branded to their network, any ideas on any other trouble shooting I could do?

Then I proceeded to remove the brand and I installed an original firmware using the method of the gold card and file PH06IMG.zip, the firmware was a no-brand europe got from your site in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1272676. All good, except that output is now a new version of Android, and the 2.3.5 update notification does not arrive for my terminal! For those who still have with the brand instead of Tim arrived ...
Now my question is ... is it possible for me to return to the original firmware of Tim? Or is it also possible for me to somehow install a newer version of 1.3 (because from what I understand Android 2.3.5 version 1.54 can be installed only on s-off), then there is an intermediate version between these two ?. I s-on (I proceeded to order a clip xtc but it will come in several days). In addition there is a specific reason for which has not yet arrived or 2.3.5 may be a problem on my end?

Update in 1.33 from 1.20 then downgrade to 1.18 and still no update notification...
uff ... now I know that is not a problem of my phone ... but it's weird, I also contacted HTC support, but I was told that they do not know anything about the date of issue and -.- while others continue to receive the update ...

I've got a Samsung Galasy S2 factory unlocked that came shipped with GB 2.3.4. My question is, having bought that phone sim unlocked, can I flash any firmware available for that phone present in samfirmware? I'm fed up of waiting to get the official upgrade through kies, which is taking too long for spanish phones.
My main fears comes from flashing the phone with a non-free-sim firmware. Am I obbey to use, for flashing my phone, any Open Europe firmware if I want to keep having my phone sim unlocked? or could I in contrary flash it with any european firmware?

I recently bought a Nokia Lumia 710 but and I didn't understand a lot about the Windows Phone 7.5, and so I'm here learning...
First of all I think is worth say my Nokia is running Build 12121 Tango and that is was updated via navifirm and ncs...
I first got this issue when I tried to flash a Chinese build 12180 Tango and Support Tool gave an error: Signature Verification Failed... That was ok, I didn't need that update anyway... but now I was trying to downgrade my phone's boot-loader to qualcom's but apparently ncs keep giving me this same error... I tried to another rom (an old one, 12120) just to test, but this time it was from my country, and now it worked. Then, apparently this issue occurs when I try to flash another country's rom, but I need to in order to downgrade to qualcom's bootloader (once I have it dload). My country is Brazil, my current rom is branded by Claro Brazil (actually, the original carrier once bought from).
Is there anyway I can get it working...
