Task killer / cache cleaner question / observation

I know everyone says killing tasks is nearly as evil as killing baby seals. I don't know exactly why, but have faith that it is just simply wrong.
One question is this... is cache cleaning evil as well? Here's why. Sometimes my UI becomes sluggish. I run cache cleaner and it seems to move along a little faster. For a while. It could be a tainted sense of reality, but it seems like the phone becomes addicted to the cleaning and requires it more often. Sometimes the results of the cleaning vary greatly. The cleaning could result in as much as 9MB cleaned or as little as 200kb. Sometimes it says cache already cleaned. Never the less, the UI moves more fluid right afterwards.
For a while, each ROM I tried worked well for a few days. Then I would start getting crappy things happening. Like calls not showing till the 3-5th ring. Sometimes it would just black screen and not show anything until the call had already gone to voicemail. Sometimes the browser would shut down at the most inopportune times. IE - middle of a website update yet to be saved, or mid-stride of a pr0n flick. j/k... kinda.. Or during an app update in the market.
Anyway, I thought maybe it had to do with my never leaving a ROM on my phone for longer than a few days before trying another flavor. I unrooted and started back over. Tried htcclays fasttest and superD. Both did well. Tried CM6 again. So far so good. Been running it now for almost a week. No serious problems yet. A couple of browser FC's when viewing a link from a twitter post, but never when directly accessing the browser.
Long story wrapped up... since unrooting and starting over, it doesn't seem to have as many sluggish periods. When it does slug, a cache cleaning speeds it back up. These have usually been 5-9MB cleaned. So far I haven noticed a more often need for cleaning as I had before.
Is cache cleaning via the CC app a bad thing? Is this a common thing? Should a G1 be unrooted often to get the cobbwebs out? Does anyone with a higher end device run into these problems? Any idea why a 200kb cleaning would produce the same results as a 9mb cleaning?
And before anyone cracks on me for driving a 2008 G1, I'm holding out for the G2.... so kiss my brown-eye!

[Q] [i9023] Cut The Rope running very slow

Has anyone had issues with Cut The Rope? I love this game, I've played it on my G-Tab and on my G2X so I know how it's supposed to run.
When I'm playing the game everything moves VERY slow. Has anyone else had this issue?
I rebooted and tried it right away and it still is slooooowww.
TIA
No issues with the game on my i9023.
Running Oxygen with [email protected],2ghz... but I doubt there would be any problems with stock, either.
Is this problem exclusive to cut the rope?
Seems odd. It's only that app, and as far as I can tell it's only during the levels themselves.
It's the exact same apk I used on my tab and G2X.

Onlive out, but looks bad on KF

It's up on market, looks really bad. Think it may be a bandwidth issue cause I'm at work.
I am having lot's of pixelation any time I move. Also noticeable lag in button presses sometimes, but not always. Other than that, it's pretty sweet.
Is anyone else having these same issues?
I tried it on mine this morning and it worked very well.
Tried Dirt 3 and Lego Batman and no issues.

Occasional frame drops

Every now and then I'm getting a frame drop when touching the screen, as if the touch boost doesn't work correctly. This happens occasionally and aside from that, the phone is very smooth. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Android 11 update caused stuttering while scrolling slowly.

As mentioned, after the 11/One UI update, when I scroll slowly, like pretty slow, the scrolling us jumpy, laggy, whatever word you want to use for "not smooth". It's system wide, ui elements, apps, home screen, all the same behavior. it's really annoying as I love to scroll as I read. I have made sure adaptive is on, no power savings is on, tried enhanced processing. It even does it in safe mode.
Anyone else have this issue? I was going to do a full wipe but I suspect this was a bug introduced in Android 11.
I don't have this issue, just upgraded this morning.
Ended up taking the time to do a full wipe. Still have the issue...Great. Like just to confirm, if you're barely scrolling, real slow, the fps dips and jumps all the time. I confirmed this using GPUWatch in the dev settings. Is there really no one having this issue out there?
I'm tempted to send it in but if I just get another phone back with the same issue, that's a lot of wasted time.

I see it too. I recorded a video to show it. I noticed it using Instagram and I also observe the problem going away in app restart. Is this what you see too? I'm wondering if Good Lock is implicated in this?

So funny enough, I dropped my fold, cracked the outer glass and bought bestbuy protection on it so I went and got a new phone. This did let me further test everything out. The new phone came with the original firmware version so I tested it through every upgrade. I think maybe I just didn't see it before but now I can see it happens on a new phone, regardless of version. Like I said, it's when you scroll very slowly which I tend to do often and happens quite literally everywhere. I tried to record it with gpuwatch but it locks the screen to 60 fps and doesn't show the stuttering in the data like it does in 120hz mode, even though it's still there. I'm honestly confused by this. No other phone has had this behavior.

You can see when it start smooth but slowly devolves. It does not stutter when it slows down at the end of a scroll that you let go of (flick scroll)
Is it doing on both screens? It looks like you are using Nord VPN, could that slow it down?

Ah, you're talking about the inside screen. Yes, I have that too. Doesnt bother me very much, but I see your point.
