Hi,
I've been using the UOT Kitchen for sometime to create a battery Circle with % for the notification bar of my Samsung Galaxy S. Yesterday I took the plunge to see if this would also work for my TF, although the kitchen is not intended for use with Android Honeycomb. But it worked just fine on my rooted WW 8659 rom with CWM recovery. Just select your preference for the battery symbols, generate a preview, upload framework-res.apk (located on your TF in /system/framework/) and SystemUI.apk (located in /system/app/) and submit. Flash the resulting ZIP file with CWM and bingo! I'm not sure what other mods in the Kitchen can be used, but the battery indicator seems ok. Use at your own risk though. Happy flashing.

It works perfectly.. Many thx for tip

I have tried the fonts and it work.
I use to decompiled, edit, complied and sign the framework-res just to hey battery%. Last week I tried the UOT kitchen and our work great.
warning, the framework modded by the uot kitchen may cause problems with dock. i don't know if the dev behind the kitchen updated that so pay attention.
here is the right method to implement such mod https://github.com/Roach2010/prime_rom_tf101/commit/aa8b9e86a2ddfcc229fdaf41b48ca23fe0d66838
Thanks for the tip. Will try it.

Also can you post how as well? Like which files and folders that you will have to copy paste?
Thanks

Check this out: UOT Kitchen
You upload your framework-res.apk and select the mods you want (some are only for Desire ROMs unfortunately), the boot screen, and then download a zip which you can flash from recovery.
Works like a charm!

Perhaps a step by step of the settings you used might help, as I couldn't get it work, after pushing the framework I had to recover.

I made a circle battery mod for WarmZ RLS1.
This will only work on WarmZ RLS1! Future versions will require an updated mod!
Just flash in Recovery. Enjoy!

If you are comfortable pulling your own framework-res.apk, you can use UOT Kitchen to make your own custom circle battery icon. If you are just using the stock framework, check to see if UOT already has it. If they do not, pull it out of the ROM's zip file.
If you have already modified your framework-res in some way (like flashed a theme) then pull it directly from your phone to use on UOT kitchen.
Make a nandroid backup, of course, but so far I've had 100% success using UOT Kitchen.

Here are some of the PNG files being used by g00gl3's attachment.
If you're ever curious, you can always explore an .apk file using a zip program. I opened g00gl3's attached zip, navigated to system/framework, then opened framework-res.apk
Inside of framework-res, look for the .png files that start with "stat_sys_battery"
In this case, they can be found under res/drawable-hdpi-v4
Awesome!! And it fixed the clear background in just the ongoing area so now I cab see the temp!

Oh yeah, forgot I included that too. Makes it easier to read that way.
Glad you like it.
All credit for these Icons goes to the creators of the Sprint Lovers ROMS on XDA as well as the original creator, schmittx. His page can be found here: (link to be added this evening)
You must be running a ROM that has a base of the 4.22.651 release of Gingerbread with Sense. (i.e. stock, Ti-X, etc.)
Just flash in Recovery, Amon RA or Clockwork. Please post any issues or any requests.
*See images for Icons colorized!!* NOTE:4G is there and blue, but, I couldn't get a screenshot off it since I have no signal at work.
Thanks for the ICONS Sprint Lovers and schmittx.
Flash and Enjoy guys!!!
Peace,
Unfortunately this does not work on MikG's 2.1 + 3.0 (v1.03). It complely removed my status bar
-ZDK-
Pinky,
Great job!
ZDK,
Reboot and your statusbar "should" come back. I think it may be Sense 2.1 thats doing that. I had the same issue with mine as well...
Yeah, sorry guys. It was meant for strictly stock release (rooted of course ) of GB which was released.
I didn't test it on anything else, but I assumed as long as the .apks I modified weren't too much different than stock (due to modification) on the ROMS with the 4.22 Base, it would work....
Can you send me the ROM you guys are on or point me to a link? I can take care of it for you guys

Will this work on the stock gb odexed rom?
I would def love to see an adaptation for the MikG v1.03 as well.
Anyway to update the GPS icon when its searchng? It reverts to the old icon when its searching.
I also noticed this removed the transparency that I originally had for the drop down notifications. Anyway of getting the transparency back without messing up the icons?

If you can, send me the framework-res.apk from the ROM you are on (the original one). You can find it in the /system/framework/ directory using Root Explorer. Copy it to you SD card and upload.
NOTE: Since you flashed my zip, you removed the transparency. However, i can get it back. i just need the original from the ROM, you may have to unzip the ROM and navigate to /system/framework and get me the original.
I will gladly do it for you though

Can you make this work with your mod? I flashed it over yours and it gives a transparent status bar but it changes your icons. It only leaves the battery percentage.

Hey Pinky059,
I think I gave you the wrong framework file from SteelRom. The original one I posted was after I installed your mod. Here is the correct framework file.....
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=547KW8A4
These are, by far, my favorite status bar icons of any that I've seen/used... would it be possible to get these for the MikG ROM? I'm sure he will be updating to the new 4.24 OTA soon as everyone is doing, but after that, could I upload the framework files and you swap the icons? That would be VERY much appreciated
Unrelated side note-
I see you have the temperature in your status bar..
Is this an app or is there a hack that can put that there? I'd love to have it there instead of having to unlock every time to see the temp.

It looks like this thread is for the network status, not the % of the battery. Does it control both?

You could always use the UOT Kitchen and make your own. All you do is upload 3 files that can be found in your ROM's .zip, choose your mod, and let the kitchen do it's thing. To answer your question, the signal strength mod is found in SystemUI.apk, battery mods are in framework-res.apk (and maybe com.htc.resources.apk). There's a flashable .zip on page 2 of the previously linked thread (post 19) that has a flashable .zip in it that contains the framework for a Digital% battery and the SystemUI for a signal strength 5 bar meter. I suggest you make your own from whatever ROM you're using, as different chefs will make slight performance enhancements in these .apks that might not be in the ones you're using, and chefs using different bases will have slightly varied versions of these files.

Yea, if you sit on the waiting screen refreshing I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes - but you're right, the kitchen stays mighty busy

Hey guys, I have Ported swipe to remove notifications for the I9001,
It's similar to the ICS one, thanks to hansip87 for his Porting guide
I have created a CWM package, just flash it via FeaMod Recovery, (stock recovery might work, haven't tried it)
the phone will take quite some time to bootup after installation, don't worry
Remember you require XXKQB deodexed firmware, So deodex before trying this mod.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emGp...DvjVQa1PpcFPn6dwKkWC1MMm4clPvDKa5ZylOiPvUveI=
EDIT: tweaked the animation's slightly in (2), will be easier to swipe with the thumb now.you'll notice that swiping left will be easier, than swiping right, cause our thumb doesn't move in a linear motion while swiping right (if you are right handed) this can be tweaked.
Please let me know which one works the best or if they need to be tweaked more.
EDIT:Added Package for Moon ROM v4.0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFQN...DvjVQa1PpcFPn6dwKkWC1MLdqyRxI0qOBOQqSwbLsC_M=
EDIT: Added package for BroodRom.
EDIT:Set the packages to half swipe, this means you have to swipe from one edge to the center or slightly ahead.
If you liked this Mod then please press the thank's button

Really cool! It works with MoonROM but change theme...Hmm :S
Thanks man, I tried it once and stuck very early, wanted to try it again after my exams, but now you did it. Is it okay if I integrate it directly in my ICS-Theme? Would be just awesome!
Cheers
ICS theme with this mod will be great.
but gotta find the perfect swipe setting first
please test it and let me know.
Nice job dude!
Some other people also tried to make it work (including me) but failed. Really cool feature .
@ macdroid2:
It changes the theme because for this mod the systemUI.apk will be replaced. And there the moonrom theme isn't included. You could copy the moonrom .png files (from systemUI.apk) to the systemUI.apk of this mod..
awesome work

Attach the moon ROM framework.jar and systemui.apk file.
hey nail, nice done. But which framework.jar did you use? Because this is not the original KQB one.
I used the framework.jar from XXKQB Deodexed package made by you,
this one http://www8.zippyshare.com/v/49143861/file.html

Don't know if there are other things to change in the framework.jar for the theme.
I think you can simply unzip the systemUI.apk (if it doesn't work, rename it to systemUI.zip) and copy the files from /res/drawable-hdpi to the modded unzipped systemUI.
After that repack it (with compression setting -> store, in german it is named "speichern", don't know the exact name in english, but should be store), rename in systemUI.apk and try it.

There are a lot of different smali-files in the framework.jar if I compare it with the stock one. But as far as its working
got it installed on the moon rom, works fine. unfortunately, though, it kills off the other button settings in the status menu (i.e. there's also data connectivity, gps and so on, that you get to by swiping the buttons to the left)
so, ironically, your great work stops swiping
You had made the deodex package so you know better,
what rom's framework.jar is it actually ?
As long as it work's how it's supposed to, there's no problem
