Sounds like you've done everything right, try the link in my signature. Flash an official RUU and start from the beginning. That should iron out any issues leftover from your previous attempts. I assure you, the Telstra version is no harder to install to than any other.
Good luck!

[HOW TO] Update Perfect SPL without Gold card

How to fix perfect SPL without Gold card. Include new 1.33.2013 SPL.
It’s possible to flash engineering SPLs, to replace your prefect SPL (1.33.2006, 1.33.2010, 1.33.2013, other) without Gold card. I did it on my 32B, sure method will work on 32A and other devices.
First short idea, then in steps.
First root your phone (soft root), then through Market download ROM Manager app, install Clockwork (or alternate Amon_RA) recovery, and immediately press boot into recovery. Phone will reboot into recovery, and now you can flash engineering SPL from SD card.
Now by steps
1. Download Engineering SPL from Amon_RA collection here. Put it (zip file) to your FAT32 formatted SD card. (1.33.2005 is common working)
2. Download newest version of SuperOneClick rooting program from here. Install program to your PC.
3. Connect phone, run program and use button Shell Root. This will soft root your phone. (Please read details instructions in program topic).
4. From phone, through Market, install 'ROM Manager' application. (Internet connection required).
5. Run app, press install Clockwork (or alternate Amon_RA) recovery. App will download latest recovery and install it. Immediately press boot to recovery.
6. Phone will boot into recovery, choose 'flash zip from SD' and choose your previously downloaded Engineering SPL.
7. After flash will ask to reboot, and choose reboot from menu.
8. After reboot phone will finish flashing SPL, and DONE!
NOW U can reboot into recovery yourself, by pressing 'HOME' + 'POWER' keys (from switched off phone). From recovery U can flash Radio, ROMS, do backup, etc.
If U would flash ROM, recommend to try Cyanogen MOD ROM first. There are detailed instructions for flashing on Cyanogen WIKI page.
If on step 6 phone not boot into Recovery, but showing splash screen with '!' sigh. Reboot phone and back to step 3 and go through steps again, but on step 5 flash OTHER recovery then used previously (Clockwork OR Amon_ra). Please keep in mind, (1) that Soft Root working until reboot, and (2) that You have to reboot into recovery immediately after flashing it. Other ways U have to start again, from step 3.
Would mention, that most ROMs not working with newest radio, and You have to flash old radio to ROMs start loading on your device.
Thanks to CLShortFuse, Amon_RA and all other developers.
After spending one day for SPL hack and flashing 12 different ROMs I've ended with recovering original latest Google ROM FR83D. Because no other could compare to fast and stable of original unrooted rom.
AMAZING!
This worked for me with the 2010 SPL for my MyTouch 3G 1.2. I don't know how or why, but this is amazing. I've bricked my phone from trying to change the SPL, and this worked perfectly. I think there is a simpler method to this though.
I got full root using Universal Androot, then flashed the stock +Rooted MyTouch 3G 1.2 ROM. If you do this, then you can start from step 6.
THIS IS AMAZING. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
when i flash the recovery and boot into it just goes to the green mytouch splash screen and does nothing.. if i try to boot into recovery manually with power and home it goes to the black screen with the exclamation triangle and a phone...
Thanks, it works with me.
Regards.

So I tried flashing a new SPL following this method. I got softroot and installed Amon Ra's recovery via ROM Manager. I then booted into recovery and flashed Engineering SPL 1.33.2010 (seemed like the newest version) now my phone is stuck in a boot loop.
I can get into recovery but the phone will not boot into the OS or anything.
Prior to this, my HBOOT was 1.33.0013 (the one that came with the official 2.2.1 update from T-Mobile)
Any thoughts on how I could fix this? This isn't my primary phone since I have a G2 but I would like to get my old MyTouch3G to work.
----UPDATE----
I got into fastboot (forgot that I needed to hold the back button) and I see that HBOOT is now 1.33.2010 and I have S-OFF. Is there some incompatibility with my radio (shows 2.22.29.25) and this HBOOT?
After SPL flash U have to flash ROM and some times radio too. New ROMs will not work with older SPLs and new radios some time not work with some ROMs. So, flash new ROM from Recovery.
I would recommend to flash Cyanogen MOD ROM for first try. There are detailed instructions for flashing on Cyanogen WIKI page? dont flash SPL, because U already did, start from step ROM flash.
Good luck

[Q] Gingerbread install stuck at MAGLDRv1.11 bootloader

My problem so far is that i was able to perform MAGLDR repartition using hd2 toolkit, but i forgot to upgrade the MAGLDR1.11 to 1.13. Now, I am stuck at the bootloader menu, without the option to get into AD Recovery as version 1.13 of MAGLDR would allow me to. How do I uninstall the MAGLDR1.11 or what would I have to do to finish the installation of GINGERBREAD?

[Q]Problems after flashing radio without SuperCID

Hi there,
i`ve got a problem with my HTC Sensation after trying to flash a new Radio to install ICS.
I have thought i´ve already been SuperCID, but this was false...
The recovery tried to flash the new radio, updated some parts of the software, but a failure occured and the updated failed because of the CID.
Since this update i cant boot into android.
There is the first Splashscreen, then a second the bootscreen, and then the splash screen...
I´ve already tried to restore my backup
Cleared Cache
Factory Reset
Dalvik cleared

Alright, firstly Hellow
Ofcourse when I read your problem, I deem that the "radio" you were mentioning is actually "Firmware"
If so, you seem to be having a similar issue which was solved in this thread. Nevertheless. Here's a way to fix it.
What I am about to guide you through is downgrading your HBoot.
Firstly, download 1.17RUU - CHOOSE WHICH Service Provider, Location (CHOOSE THE RIGHT ONE)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1459767
1. Boot into recovery mode and connect your phone to your computer.
2. Select "mounts and storage"
3. Then select mount sd card.
4. Copy the PG58IMG.zip into the Root of your SD Card.
5. Reboot your phone into bootloader again.
Your phone should automatically prompt you to begin update. After the update,
Your Bootloader should be downgraded. Then Flash a simple - any Gingerbread based ROM, and follow my post on doing SuperCID
THEN,
1. Please follow step 4 from this Guide to obtain SuperCID, make sure that the SuperCID is 11111111! Mismatch of the SUPERCID causes the Error you were previously facing.
2. With the updated SuperCID, reinstall the latest ROM you wanted.
3. Boot & flash the suggested radio if you are using a ICS ROM.
Hope it helped!
Hi,
thank you.
Alright the steps for writing the CID are enough. Now it works again.
After writing my cid i could flash the radio and the ICS ROM.
It was a bit tricky to get adb to recognize my phone.
My phone seems to be turned of, but windows and adb said its on?
From this moment i was able to write the CID.
Thank you.

[Q] [URGENT!] Bootlooping due to flash wrong PG58IMG

Hi all,
I have a problem with my Sensation due to my own fault.
I want to flash ARHD ICS rom to my phone, and I started with rooting my Sensation. I followed all instruction til installing the Recovery (PG58IMG).
I downloaded two versions of PG58IMG (one for ICS and one for the other), but I copied the firmware for ICS version to my SD card and already installed it. Now, my phone already S-off but cannot reboot into homescreen. It keeps rebooting it self in white hTC screen (after I installed the ICS firmware).
I don't know how to fix. I tried to read the troubleshoot in the post but I still cannot fix it. Does anyone have a solution??
Thanks in advance

If I understand you correctly you flashed the firmware upgrade BEFORE you flashed the new ICS rom? If so you'll need to get your sdcard card out (and get your computer to read it) so you can rename the PG85img on your sdcard so you can get back into recovery so you can flash the new ICS rom.

Yes, I flashed the upgraded firmware before not only I flashed ICS rom, but also I get rooted. Now, I can't flash any rom as well as su-2.3.6.1-ef-signed.zip or su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip.
It still keep bootlooping. I tried to flash the other firmware, but it showed 'CID incorrect'. I don't know how to fix now
Did you check MD5 Sums before you flashed the ROM because it sounds like a bad download so re-download the ROM and reflash

I did check MD5 sums for all files I downloaded and it is corrected.
Now, I'm curious that whether it is possible to flash the upgraded firmware before being rooted.
And of course you need to be using the right version of the firmware for the rom you want to flash. Mike's latest uses 3.24 per here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
I don't know if you can get into fastboot or not, but you should be able to check the CID of your phone there, and download the right firmware for your phone. If your phone is carrier independent (i.e. didn't get on contract) then the HTC__xxx variety should be good.

Thank you so much for your link. I can boot my Sensation into the homescreen now. For my problem, I have to download and flash the older version (3.17) to fix it.
Thanks all of you for your reply again.
+1 for me, solve with a new download .
Just flash the Mod, the bootloop is normal.
I got the same problem, before i flashed Revolution Rom i used that radio package. After the radio package flash, my phone wass stuck in a bootloop.
I took the memory card out en removed the zip file en flashed the revolution rom. After that my phone started normal.
SOrry for the bad enlgish.
Good luck mate.
hey, guys i just had the same problem, kinda. lol
anyways my phone is rooted, s-off and superCID
when i went to install the new ics rom i did everything this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
said to do and when the new root booted up for the first time, it would go up to the beats audio logo,( the ics rom with beats audio (xe)) then like restart back to the htc startup logo, then beats again then htc again, it just kept doing this..??
so i just deleated everything and restored back to origional backup rom.
so what did i do wrong?
a bad download link/file? can u give me a good one?
thanks, any help is greatly appreciated as iam totally lost right now...
edit:
also do i even need this file (PG58IMG.zip.) to flash the ics rom if my phone is superCID ??? iam confused on that part.
nevermind, figured it out and got it work! the new ics is pretty sweet!!
thanks for everything- towards all the developers and testers on here
Cool. The answer is yes of course. The firmware file contains a specific radio / hboot / etc version. The ROM you download and install is dependent on certain combinations of the firmware versions you have. The super cid just allows you to flash any of the firmwares available here... Otherwise you have to find the specific one for your region and/or carrier.
Also, don't forget you can use an adb logcat while your phone is booting to see if you can diagnose any boot-looping issues. Just run that command on your PC with your phone attached via USB cable

To do so,
1. Download the correct firmware version ( PG58IMG.zip V3.24 ) and copy it to the root of your SDCARD.
Be 200% sure that the downloaded zip file is not corrupted. ( Check the MD5 checksum after you download)
2. Pull Back the battery and wait for a minute.
3. Put the battery and press POWER+VOLUME Down Key together.
4. Your phone will detect the firmware.
5. Follow the screen and complete the flashing.
6. Download the ICS based ROM of your favor.
7. Boot into recovery and flash your rom.

No you didn't do everything the thread said to do because you're stuck in a bootloop. And yes, you must have correct firmware to run any ICS ROM.
1. SuperCID.
2. Load correct firmware for ROM version you wish to flash (there are 3 different firmwares, 3.06, 3.12 and 3.24. Make sure you've got the right one.
Put PG58IMG.zip on the root of your damn SD card.
Put the ROM you want on the root of your damn SD card.
Put a wipe or superwipe script on the root of your damn SD card.
So far it's easy, no?
Boot to bootloader, select FASTBOOT, select yes to update.
Watch the phone. You should see it flash some partitions, reboot itself, then flash the radio and some other crap.
When done you should be at correct HBOOT and radio.
Now, pull the battery. Pull the SD card.
Insert the battery. Start the phone with power + Volume down.
Move cursor to recovery.
Insert SD card and select recovery.
Flash the wipe script, flash the ROM.
Now if you did everything exactly like this, you will boot to normal phone in about 10 minutes or so.
This has been spelled out 50 times in 50 threads, including threads devoted to nothing but this procedure.
Your phone is a machine. It can only do what you tell it to do. If you screw up, it's screwed up. If you do everything exactly right, in the right order, carefully checking each step, your phone will behave.
Try again.
Do it right. Do it carefully.

Freezes and reboots just after startup

I'm a long-time Android tweaker, but new to the Sensation.
I successfully ran Revolutionary for S-OFF, and things were going just fine. Then I used the PG58DIAG file to unlock the SIM as outlined in this thread. The phone was unable to get a cellular connection after that, so I wiped it and installed a new ROM.
Ever since then, the ROM will boot and load successfully, but then moments after loading the phone will freeze and reboot. I've tried installing 4 different ROMs (CM, Virtuous and Stock) through CWM, but the same thing keeps happening with each one. Boots, loads, freezes, reboots.
I'm stumped about what I can try next.

if you tried to flash an ics or jb rom it won't boot because you have gingerbread firmware installed
you have to upgrade your firmware first and then flash the rom
see here for firmware
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
follow the steps carefully and check md5 sums before flashing

use this method if you device is on ICS.
relock your bootloader via hasoon aio kit for sensation here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1498003 ,unlock it again...flash stock ROM by placing stock file into your blank sd card, rename it PG58IMG,turn off your device, pull out the battery, insert sd card into the device, reinsert the battery, press vol down and power button at the same time until it boots into hboot menu, the hboot menu should auto detect the file from your sd card and start flashing stock, follow on screen instructions...
if i've helped you, then don't forget to hit the thanks button...

yup... forgot about revolutionary method
Thanks for the replies so far. I didn't realize that I needed the updated firmware. I'll try that first and respond with results.
Well, there were two things I needed to fix:
(1) Using the right firmware fixed the reboot problem.
(2) Reinstalling a factory default RUU fixed the wireless connectivity issue.
All's good now!!
