[App] Hulu Plus for HTC Sensation - HTC Sensation

How to install:
(Thanks to ebatr8)
Download the zip from here, unzip the folder and copy all three files (com.hulu.plus-20110723-192253.properties, com.hulu.plus-20110723-192253.tar.gz, com.hulu.plus-bcc9ed16094d067c4c1f3ceb8851f886.apk.gz) into your Titanium Backup folder on your SDcard. Once all three files have been copied start up Titanium Backup and make sure you refresh your app list in case it was running in the background. Go to backup / restore and look for the Hulu Plus 1.0.116 app and click on restore -> App+Data. Once you have installed do not open, let it go back to Titanium Backup to finish copying over the data. Once complete you can exit TB and start running Hulu Plus.
Known bugs and workarounds:
(Thanks to Gunkk)
Problem : I am getting a Buffering.....it appears you are having network issues.
Fix: Check to make sure you do not have AdFree running, if you do turn it off and see if that fixes the problem
(Thanks to robotnoize)
Problem : If you are running a ROM that already comes with AdFree you will get the buffering issue.
Fix : Reinstall AdFree and then disable and it should work fine (Confirmed working with Android Revolution)

The apk works to browse, but you'll get an unsupported device message as soon as it boots. Nobody has cared enough to modify build.prop or the apk itself (which I don't encourage) since it came out.

You need to use titainium back and restore this app with its data then log in to your account and you should be good to go, it came from the Droid inc 2 forums, unzip and put into the titainium back up folder after you have installed titainium backup and gave it root permissions
http://db.tt/I6QiDqj
It is a backup from a hulu plus supported phone since its already checked for compatibility it lets use it no issues

Thanks, it installed fine thru TB but its still giving the video playback not supported on this device. Guess I have no choice but to wait for official support. Thanks again though.

I got the same issue and I went back and reinstalled you have to make sure your restoring missing app data as well otherwise your just installing the app try again trust me it works
Sent from my Htcclay's SuperLite 4G using XDA App

I've restored it on just about every Rom on this forum, run the batch that says restore all apps with data make sure the app+data bubble is selected for just the hulu plus apk and it should work oh and make sure all three files in the zip are in the titainium folder but not in its own folder

Which is one of the great things about a development community, especially a great one like XDA. We don't have to wait for "THEM" to support us, we have each other to support "US".

Told ya =P lol

I too did it this way but am getting a "Buffering....it appears you are having network issues, Please wait or try again later" message.
Any ideas?

Edit: it works with AdFree off (aka "reverted").
Sent from my Energy ROM Sensation.

Op you should update the first post with this method so other sensation users can find how to get this working on there sensations, also update it with the adfree issue that was just mentioned, I forgot to say that when I mentioned how to install.

Apps belong in the app section. But anyways, won't your phone auto update to the new market again?

One can freeze Market Updater with Titanium Backup and it will never auto update the market version. This does not affect downloaded apps updating.

Where is Android Market 3.1.5?

Am I missing something? Where is the updated Android Market for this phone? Why does my wife's G2 have a better Market when I'm stuck with the older one?

Hooray For The Old Market App!
I go to the Android Market for Android Apps. When I got the updated app on my G2, I got used to it. But I never liked it. Yes, I'm sure I could have gone back, but it wasn't a big issue with me.
I don't buy movies on the Android Market
I don't buy books on the Android Market
I do get free apps and paid apps on the Android Market and that's what my market app does.
Hooray for the older, simpler app!
Im using the android market from undead's rom. Its good but its very buggy. Switching back to older version
I was actually able to find everything I was looking for here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1284647
Just replace the file (of course make sure you backup, just in case) and restart the phone. The vending.apk is located in \system\app
Versión 3.2.0 is out already.

Google play.

Just got this phone and I'm curious, with out rooting, OS there a way to get Google play? I still have the old market....but I'm on 2.3.

It will eventually update itself. Or you could just download the apk and install it yourself.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA
Try going into remove programs and select "Market". Clear the cache and data and then go to the market. This has been known to trigger the update for some.
Thanks guys, I ended up just downloading the apk. However I am curious as to y my signature says desire and not inspire....this is a refurb handed to me by a technician lol.

Has anyone tried implementing SGSIII S-voice on SGS 4G?

Yes, that's true and if you want, then rip some of the app from RemICS, I think it will work (S-Voice in RemICS is working perfectly for me ^^)
