After I updated I5800 with I5800XWJPK (and later with I5800XWJPS) firmware... there is no sound at all. Sound icon in my notification bar "allows" only "Silent" and "Vibration"..
I checked all settings in "Settings"-"Sound"-"Volum"... but... there is no sound coming out of the phone.
But... if i plug in headphones... i can hear (in headphones) all sounds perfect as they should be without plugged in headphones!!
I rooted my phone, installed Kyrillos Rom (7.0 and upgraded to 7.1)... but... there is no sound.
Well... It will be rather strange to use my I5800 only with headphones from now on... so... guys... any help?!
Thanks in advance!

Anyone?!
Please.
Thanks.
It seems to be a hwadware problem
Flash back to the stock rom of your region - make it like just out of box(no root, mods, etc. ) and take it to a service center
One more thing
On homescreen, hold the vol. Up button and call yourself — from some other phone
Thanks for help.
No succes. I changed 5-6 different roms in last few hours. No sound at all. But.. there is, as always excellent sound if i plug in my headphones. So.. erm.. i doubt it is hardware problem.

although i had sound at first it is now not working. I have sound when listening through earphones but no sound when touching the sreen or when a call comes through etc..
all relevent sound tick boxes are ticked
is this a known bug?
i have an o2 xda2 by the way
I am using the WM5 on XDA II for more than 3 months now (3 different ROMs) ... never have had any troubles with the sound
(But with AS, etc. )
I have the same problem also but it's worse with me. I don't have any sound at all and whenever I try to do an action with sound like opening a menu the device stop responsing for at least 30 seconds. As an experiment I downgraded my device to W2003SE and the sound came back so I'm sure that it's a software problem. I'v tried many different ROMs but without any binefit.
My sound sometimes is muted - it's WM5 behaviour that pressing and holding power button mutes device. Soft reset helps. I would like to switch off this behaviur but don't know how.
hey still prob with the bugs on freezing on wm2005...
i have problem too... same as u, so share something @ http://buzzdev.net/index.php?option=com_simpleboard&Itemid=59&func=view&id=23180&catid=26 ; we will solve this prob. cmon share up!
thanks!

Hi
As you can tell I am new here. In fact I am new to Flashing/ROMing/etc...
Yet last night i read over quite a bit of stuff and this morning I did the following:
1) flashed my Galaxy Tab (t-mobile) to the Euro firm. Got the phone working. Speaker Volume was good, and I could make calls and hear the other side quite clearly.
Then I got a little brave...
2) I successfully installed the latest OVERCOME ROM, everything seems to be working fine.
3) I followed ROTO's modem switch and got that working.
Now my problem is speaker volume has changed dramatically (while using the Phone ONLY). I can barely hear the other side. This is in comparison to when I first flashed it to the Euro firm.
Is there something that I missed? is there some type of setting that controls the phone in-call volume (internally)?
UPDATE: I was playing with the volume while on a call, and it seems at 75% is the loudest, then as you increase it beyond that, the actual volume gets lowered dramatically.
Pls advise.
Thank you in advance
Note: and YES I had the in-call volume all the way up.
I updated my phone SGS2(i9100G) to ICS 4.0.3 using Odin from 2.3.6 ,i have two problems problem

2) Touchwiz is working fine but pinch to zoom out in Home and in app drawer is kinda lagy not smooth,,,,,,
i have reseted my after flashing if it matters.....and the rom i flashed is Stock ICS 4.0.3 (Indian Version)
i got my phone from Dubai and i am from Pakistan....if stock rom region matters .......
Please need help .....
Hello Hakker-IM
Have you fix the sound problem?
Volume level is a common problem on SGS2.
I fix it initially with Volume+, but on the last update it is doing strange level changes.
After any beep sound louds and after fades slowly until the next beep... (beep is the 1 minute signal advertence)
Have you tested Voodoo Louder on your actual ICS?
Thanks.

My Nexus 5 is acting like there are headphones connected when they are not...I have not installed any new programs and the speaker was working fine earlier today. When I power down and reboot, I can play music through my speaker, but after about 15 seconds it acts as if headphones are connected again and goes silent..gives the "audio warning" when you press the volume rocker up...sound works through headphones when connected. Anyone have any thoughts? This all started with the 4.4.2 update...first weird thing happening is my wallpaper randomly changing on its own..daydream is not enabled. Thanks on advance guys for your thoughts!! I'm clueless as to the fix... Should also mention, I'm rooted and unlocked boot loader. I've had the 4.4.2 update since the day it hit OTA and haven't had any audio issue until now...the wallpaper changing itself has occurred for a few days now though. The speaker does work, just not sure why it keeps thinking a pair of headphones is connected...
UPDATE : While waiting for a reply to this issue...my wallpaper has changed again, and now sound has returned?? Wth... Stock Google Experience Launcher...maybe I need to clear settings and see if that helps..
Someone with Bluetooth headphones playing a trick on you maybe? More then likely its some app u have installed causing an issue.

Hi Gurus,
Sorry if this question has been posted earlier, I am pretty much a newbie here
I have just laid hands on a One plus one , and was totally bonkers over the device till yesterday. Strangely on attaching my headphones ( Skullcandy S2SBFY-058 Smokin Bud Mic In-the-ear Headset ) which where working absolutely fine the day before now force the music or notification sounds to mute :crying: The worse part is if it try to increase the sound , the drag-er ( if that's what its called ) runs back to zero. Its very frustrating and saddening. I have already tried re-booting and doing a factory reset. :crying:
Is here a fix for this ? Moreover can this be a software issue ? Any help will be really appreciated
Thanks in advance
