Problem installing Rom Manager Clockworkmod recovery after revolution - T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide

Has anyone got the new ClockworkMod Recovery installed?
I got S-OFF/recovery using revolutionary (http://revolutionary.io/) and it all went well. When it finished, it asked if it could install Clockworkmod Recovery, and I let it, all good. Then I got root through flashing the su zip file.
Then installed Rom Manager and it said that I needed to install ClockworkMod via Rom Manager and the one that was offered was newer (5.0.2.0)... it asked me to confirm the device, and so I selected HTC Slide 4G and it downloaded, and flashed successfully.
but now when I boot into recovery, I just get the 'T-Mobile myTouch 4G slide' boot screen, and no recovery. I have to pull the battery to get it to come back.
Is there something wrong with the Rom Manager version of ClockworkMod recovery?
I flashboot installed the 4.0.0.8 to get CWM back....
ps - is there a better place to report Rom Manager bugs?

Ours is a custom version. You can't use the one from the App. You should look for Paul's version 4.0.0.9

Flash this one (mentioned above) via fastboot and you should be in good shape -

[Q] Accessing CWM through RM. Differences?

I wanted to know if there was any difference between accessing CWM via holding down the SGS4G buttons during boot and opening Rom Manager and telling it to boot into CWM.
Thanks,
Jeremy
The CWM version from ROM manager is broken for our phones. If you're on Froyo I recommend you uninstall it and then install the Bali 3.3 kernel so you can get a working version with voodoo etc.
If you want to be able to reboot into recovery, you can download the quickboot app which will let you do it without the 3 button combo.
OK. The CWM I used is one I downloaded from an xda article. I had to manually copy it to /system/bin.
The version is 3.2.0.0
If use that to flash will I be OK?
Thanks,
Jeremy
EDIT: never mind... I uninstalled Rom Manager and rebooted the phone to recovery using the quick boot app, then when I went to reinstall packages, I got into the version of CWM that everyone is referring to (3.0.2.8).
Thanks,
Jeremy
Good...yea dont use ROM manager it just causes a lot of problems

I saw it and about sh+t myself. Today is great day for doubleshot community.

I am also very new to this. So what about the current Modaco CWM Recovery 4.0.0.9? It will still be there but it won't be used? Do we also access nandroid backups from ROM manager? (So in other words, will we only do everything with ROM manager from now on?)

ROM Manager is just a way to access CWM Recovery. If you flash the official CWM Recovery, it will overwrite Modaco's version.
Woot. No more charging issues. Thanks for the heads up.

It feels like my birthday...
I know rite? First, I figured out how to jungle with noc on LoL, and now this? Wins all around.
Installed new recovery through rom manager, to 5.0.2.7 and rebooted into recovery.
All seems well.
BUTTTTTTTT when i tried to do a backup of my current virtuous rom i get an error: "can't mount target path"
And then when testing the restore i get an error: "can't mount path /sdcard"
And when testing the wipe & format options, instead of the traditional Yes or No.... I now have like 10 No options and 1 Yes option.
Something seems bogus, ive reinstalled the recovery twice but same effect.
Anyone??
Whats happened to my recovery guys???

[Q] How to install custom rom after reverting to stock?

I had issues with a custom rom so I reverted back to stock using SuperCID and a stock rom I downloaded from here. Now that I am trying to back up this stock rom, whenever I try to go into boot loader I get this error its a phone with a orange triangle on it. Phone gets stuck there and I have to remove the battery to boot back up. So I download rom manger and when I boot it , it gives me this error
" You must root your phone for rom manger to function. Superuser was not found at"/system/bin/su" or "/system/xbin/su" Use google to search on your computer to find instructions to root your phone."
I thought my phone was rooted I know I have s off all I did was reinstall my stock rom.
So my question is how do I reflash my custom rom?
You need to download and install
su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip
Just google that and you'll find a downloadable link. Can't do it right now sorry.
Flash update.zip from recovery. Root and s-off are two different things. Do you have clockwork mod installed?

Did you use ROM Manager to install Clockwork Recovery Mod? If so, that's part of your problem, I think, as ROM Manager does not work properly with the G2X. You have to use NVFlasher and the One-Click Recovery Mod to properly install Clockwork Recovery.
See this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056847
Hopefully that will get you on the right track. You may also want to double-check, before doing this, that your phone is correctly rooted.

ClockWork Mod wont install in Recovery

I've got a Sensation (I think its a Phillipenes issue) which was upgraded to ICS 4.0.3.
Basically I've managed to complete HTC Dev Unlock, then a few days later I lost Wi-Fi connection, so have been trying to continue with installing a Custom (or even the original) ROM in an attempt to fix it.
I've now done Junoptobear to get true S-OFF
Got root access
But cant get Clockwork Mod to install in Recovery...
I've installed ROMmanager Premium and used it to install the latest Clockwork Mod - it states its downloaded and completed but when I go to the bootloader and select Recovery it flashes the white HTC screen for a brief second then back to the bootloader.
I've tried to manually download the Clockwork Mod file and install to Recovery but I get the same issue.
Does anyone have any ideas?? Many thanks!
Hi there you can install 4ext recovery you can get the file here in xda or even from the play store. Many of us use 4ext because it has many options and is very easy to use.personally I prefer 4ext. All I did was download from the play store and opened the app follow directions choose version of recovery and it will flash from the application. I was already rooted and soff when I did it but it's very easy to do. I really think you will like 4 ext recovery. You already have s OFF and root so it should not be a problem. Best of luck to you. I hope this helps! As I mentioned most of us use 4 ext recovery and I doubt you will be disappointed. Good luck.

I may be wrong but this sorta sonuds like a problem abother member was having the other day. I think they may not have a eng Hboot installed. Question why not just let them flash the recovery using the PG58IMG.zip via bootloader?
