Here's a guide to get Google Music Beta working in non-US countries. I'm in the UK, so it's mainly for that, but I'm assured this method works in other countries too.
1. Accept an invite from a friend. Anyone who has Music Beta regularly gets invites to invite friends. Ask anyone who has the service to get an invite. I currently have 3 to give away!
However, to accept this invite, it needs to be done through a proxy, to fake that you're in the UK. I used http://www.hidemyass.com. Simply put your gmail account in there (where your invite will come through) then view gmail through the proxy. Accept the invite through the proxy, and volia, you're done! Or at least you should be. Once you've accepted the invite, you shouldn't need to use the proxy again.
2. Start uploading your music using Google Music Manager. There are binaries available for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.

Enable cookies at the top. There are mark boxes with settings

I have it working. All you need to do is accept tos from the proxy, then you can use normally. then download apk off internet to download the app

No such boxes in HideMyAss, so no way of doing it
im having exactly the same trouble as EddyOS, including trying mic180's suggestion.

Try other ones suggested. People reported it working.
None of the proxies worked for me, so i had some kind soul allow me to take over his pc in US and done it from there.

pro-tip: i dont know if they closed the hole or not yet, but if you download google+ from the market it just lets you sign up no invite required, i did it earlier today and im playing around with it in chrome now, already found a dozen of my friends

Confirmed on my side. I'm in, but unsure yet if I can invite other's. Go to the market and download now! There may only be a short windows of opportunity.

If you got an invite but didn't activate you are SOL. I sent my wife one and she sat on it and today it told her they are full and she will have to wait till they reopen.

Just got in a little while ago. Sent out several invites so far. Everyone I've sent to hasn't received them yet. Seems like it takes awhile to even get the invite. Then whether you can accept it or not is whole different story. It took me 2 days to actually be able to accept my invite.

No no no, I got my mate to invite me on Tuesday night at about midnight and I didn't receive the invitation email until 3pm the next afternoon, 15 hours later...! Just give it some time! Beta is currently closed, but when you get your email, try and it'll let you know what the story is
Google Music just gave me 2 new invites to pass along to the community. I gave two away just last week, so there must be another round of invitations being sent to those of us using Google Music. Long story short, this thread can be used as a springboard to request an invitation on this new round. I only have two, so begging will not help. Just send me a PM with your email address and I will take care of the rest. I will reply when my invites are depleted.

ive been using it about a week now. managed to reach the 20,000 song limit. i noticed they gave me 2 additional invites but i already gave all 4 to friends.
however, i did not have to wait for someone to send me an invite, i just went to the google music page and there was an option to put in your email and they would send you an invite. i did and the next day had the invitation email from google.
