dear friend..
the moxier mail was inbuilt with x10 when launched and updated with Eclair.. 2.1.. but as informed by SE this will not continue with Gingerbread.. 2.3.3.. the inbuilt mail is also good enough for ur needs with good view panels..
still if u want it u have no other option but to purchase from market.. now its not free and even if you get it.. it will definitely be from 2.1.. it will keep asking for update..
TC..

The way I do it is copy the apk files from the 2.1 firmware. Install on your sd card. Then flash your gbread and install your apk files

there are many built in apps that i missed after update, and unfortunately i updated without back up of apps.
i was just wondering if an of you back up his apps and have it. but any way thanks a lot all for helping.
still if any one have this app or any app from 2.1 i'll be glad to have.
thanks in advance

dear all,
i read many threads on demanding the moxier mail, even i posted threat but with no use, i couldnt find any free moixer mail, i was forced to buy it from market and for that am welling to give it any person who want it but in cheaper than the market.
if any one want the moixer mail back just mail me on: [email protected] and i'll attached for you.

How To Disable Exchange Security Policy FROYO!!

Found a way around the enforcement of The Exchange security policy on FROYO (ROOT USERS ONLY), at least until lockpicker gets FROYO support.
You need to unzip and install the attached APK. It will give you an extra mail application on the phone (The Saphire, White envelope, and Gold Message popping out icon), but you can remove the stock one if you have some knowhow, or just delete your account from the stock one.
I take no credit for this. Original work done by raidzero at http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...onal-froyo-bypass-exchange-server-policy.html
Disclaimer: For Educational use only. I take no responsibility for your company firing you because you lost precious confidential information.
Edit: I see that member afflaq already posted a similar fix here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=729753&highlight=exchange+security
I downloaded the zip file but I am new to rooting and not quite sure how to apply this zip to my phone... do i copy to root of sd card and boot into bootloader and apply it that way via recovery? or can i run the zip from the phone on normal boot.

You have to extract the apk from the zip file, and then just install the apk from a file manager program like estrongs or astro. You do not need to use recovery or the bootloader for this at all. I probably should gave just posted the apk, without zipping it up to avoid confusion but i didn't.
I have been hit with this ridiculous security policy too, my IT admin guy just shrugs his shoulders, and it doesn't seem to hit iPhones (which are hopeless for security anyway?).
So when I install .apk, do I then need to migrate my Exchange account to a new mail application?
I have a rooted phone, is there any way to just disable Exchange security policy? It even allows 'login attempts' to my device to be 'monitored', get stuffed, I'm not having that.

Not that I know of yet. Uninstall native email app. Use titanium bu. Clear security. Reboot. Install this one.

What is this app and how does it work? Is it a hacked native email app? Also, silly question perhaps, how do we know it's safe to use?
Native email ap, modded. Aosp, not sense. Click the link to original post in first thread for more info. I use this exclusively anytime I flash a new 2.2 rom.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
How was it modded, is the native app open source?
How are you all going with this? I'm thinking of installing it. Does it still pull in and integrate the work calendar and contacts?
Yep, but non-sense style...

C'mon....Just give it a try already if you're interested. Don't delete the stock mail app just yet, but delete your credentials, and remove your security (password). Then install this one, see if you like it. I honestly don't remember if it syncs calender with with sense (but I don't think it does). Don't use sense. It is not a Sense app. Its AOSP-like.
Nothing to lose by trying it.
Yeah ok I'll give it a shot.. There are several versions of this app flying around in various threads, is the link in this thread the one to use?
All seem the same to me. Could be mult authors/modders though. I just found on another forum and posted it here.

How can I get the email widget for unread message count? It does come with it.

It depends. Is it a sense widget you're talking about? If so, this will not work. This is the native android email application, not the Sense version. As such, the Sense widget cannot "talk" to this application. There may be a widget on the market for that though.
Beautiful...works great. I can't begin to express how much this helps me out. Any way to change the colors in the email app?
Muchas Gracias
FYI..i'm a noob
Sigh, still getting connection errors when trying to d/l attachments >1MB in size. Otherwise it works fine.

[APP] IM Beejive Beta

I'm not sure if this is allowed, but since it's a direct link from beejive.com, I think it should be? I'm not actually in the beta.
http://beejive.com/android/beta/BeejiveIM.apk
If not, can a mod please delete the thread? Thanks
I might give it a try. I don't IM much these days but it's still nice to have a good client there for when you need it..
ATM i'm using the official msn messenger for android (without ads mod).
Do msn have official apps on android? What the name of the app?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
It's called MSN Droid.
Edit: Actually I'm not too sure if that's the official app, sorry.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
still in beta and the UI is pretty good.
yet the function is rather poor.
No it's not msn droid.
It's official msn, but developed by PICA (chinese company http://www.pica.com/)
http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/tools/messenger_cbpe.html
I'm don't think it's available in english market, so heres a link to the apk (it is a free app, not warez) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BALZ1U08
It is modified to remove ads (the official one has ads >_<)

Need to hide app icon in notification bar, its truly annoying.
needs work but pretty good so far...will be paying for it once it becomes available...
Nice
Seems to work pretty good. I like the ease. It does appear to be on all the time though but I've not seen a significant battery drop to warrant removing it. Really wish they would have opened the beta up for more people, I hated just downloading it but not being able to participate in bug posting.
Actually you can participate, Maybe not bugs, but fatal errors that cause the app to crash you can send email logs of when the app crashed directly to them. After the app has a force close it will ask you if you want to send the log when the app crashed to them by e-mail.

You have to rename the file to change it to .apk file. (at the moment it's named BejiveIM.apk.zip)
If you have file extensions hidden then unhide them and remove the .zip and save.
I was getting a "Timedout" and then "no client key" yesterday but the app started to work again late last night. I'm not too sure I like the size of the icon like others have said, but I do like its the most stable out of the clients I've tried without draining my battery.... much.
Palringo is way better

Agree! Reason I uninstalled after a few hours. Besides that the app icon seems larger than any of the others I have. But not being able to disable the icon in the notification bar is extremely annoying!!

Hi, Thanks for posting this. I used to use it on my Berry all the time . . . I installed it from your link & imo it's the best IM client out there so far & still Beta lol! The feature that lets you email the conversation or post to twitter is sic ;-)
I'll definitely be buying this app soon as it's out officially.
yeah this app isnt bad at all, it seems close to trillian it will come down to 5 things...
-features
-batterylife
-speed/lag between IMs
-reliable connection
-price (seems like trillian will be free)

MyBackup Root FREE (newest version attached)

Hi all,
I just came across this thread and thought I'd share. I have downloaded it from the Android Market and it seems to work fine. Everything is straight forward and easy to use. I have also attached the apk in case you can not get it through the market.
EDIT:
I have attached the newest version from the market (ver 3.2.1)
Please make sure you hit the THANKS button!

I have been using this very good app for a while now ... usually I get it from the market.
I wanted the apk file so that I could do restores without having to set up a market account first ...
and ended up here.
I like XDA, but am very surprised that you have not had one single reply since Jan,
even a simple thank you !
Tanke alot this is great!

great application
thanks
Thank you for this excellent app.
Been using this for quite a while (as Wolfbreak recommended this instead of xRecovery for data restore). Really a very simple and easy to use app.
Lol I missed this. Thanks for the op and thanks for bumping it.

It's cool! phanks!
I was looking for this app because my Magic is pretty unstable and a lot of things don't work: calendar won't show events, Maps crashes, Market crashes etc.
I donwloaded this file, but it says 'please update to the newest version', but since my market crashes I can't do anything.
Gonna wipe it out without a backup then.
Thanks for the effort of putting it online though!
Its the best backup utility I've come across.
Thanks man..

However it is not released officially on SE devices so I've decided to post the apk here.
To install just put the apk into your sd card and use a file explorer to find and run it. It worked on my X10.
Thanx ill try it....

I guess we will be able to update the app once the app is available for our respective country

Every friend of mine is on FB so I don't need any other messenger, so it is useful for me.. Why to use third party when the original developers are providing you a messenger...
Also few of my friends asked me how a mobile icon is appearing in place of a green online status indicator..
This is because I use the FB mobile messenger, it is not officially available yet for my country and so most people don't know about it lol

[Q] Old Gmail on ICS

I already searched on here, and someone asked this before but got no reply.
I want to uninstall Gmail 4.7.1 from my Kyocera Rise that's running ICS, and install the older Gmail 2.3.4.1 on it. Has anyone else done this before? Any idea if it'll work?
I want to do this because 2.3.4.1 is what my old phone (was running Gingerbread) had on it. I don't like the newer Gmail app, IMO they made it harder to read and navigate. I find myself using my old phone just to check my email, because its less annoying. It'd be awesome if the older app were to work on here.

Welcome to Xda, you will see that this happens allot here and i wish everyone could get the help they deserve but most of the time they don't as for your problem, you could google Gmail 2.3.4.1 apk and might be able to find someone who mirrored that like you can try here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1181033 download that file from your phone or computer and find it and install it. it might not work because google sorta wants us to use newer versions of their apps but if it does you need to turn off the auto update so it wont. good luck and welcome to XDA!

Hello, thanks. I've been a lurker on here for a while, but I have no experience asking my own questions here.
Yup, I did that, I downloaded an .apk of 2.3.4.1. I was asking on here to try and find out if attempting this would even work.... in my research I can't find anything on whether something like this for Gingerbread will work correctly in ICS. It looks like I have to root to even remove Gmail 4.7.1 so that's why I was asking before getting into this.

The reason why you can't completely uninstall it is because it's a system app. So yes you would have to root to remove it
