Alright so I take no credit for this, this was done by another developer from Modaco.
This is (for right now) is a Linux script to get sound working on the Sensation with any AOSP ROM.
As of right now there are only 3 that I know of:
MIUI
CM7 Kang
xboarder AOSP
Now as far as I know this should work for 3vo and Sensation.
So just download, unzip and then bash through terminal
Credit:

How to use: Windows and Linux Files
1) Download file
2) Unzip file anywhere
3) cd (Change Directory) into where the unzipped files are
4) Plug in phone
5)
For Linux:
./sound.sh
For Windows:
Double click on the "sound.bat"
6) REJOICE as your ear is full with the sound of... SOUND!! ;D
For update zip:
Download sound_fix_update.zip and flash in recovery
(make sure you have your drivers installed for HTC Sensation)
So would this wrk on windows?

Read the post. Its for AOSP based ROMs. Those ROMs never had sound to begin with...

Extract it to a folder, open CMD, nav to the folder and "sound"
BTW, the volume is very low, is it all the phones or is it just mine ?
Well it works on his rom I'm using his miui rom. (It flies.!!!!) Only couple bugs no biggies. I'm on T-Mobile by the way.

Edit Post ==> Go Advanced ==> In the advanced edit window, click on the arrow beside the paper clip and then manage attachment. Upload your screenshot and save the attachments and the edited post.
BTW, please consider making a thread about this in the development section. That's where people look for ROMs.

Yes, wipe catch and dalvik before and after install .zip and you will be fine

is this stable than the cm9 8march quarx.. im having frequent crashes n several probs due to the partial hwa.. i read above this rom is based on 8 march quarx.. if thts the case does this also have the same probs.. neways im checking this out.. fed up with all the crashes!!

No launcher has jellybean effects. This is a mod to aosp roms in transition animations. Check the thread in first post to see what I'm talking about

in it, he says that head phone is working, also, whitexp's build, headphone is working,

Flash psycho's alpha 5 on both phones

Because if we could know what modules triggered this fix it could be a Window of opportunity for other developers to tap on since it could be related to the media rendering modules.
It could benefit the whole community thus a step closer to a stable cm7.

No I merged prebuilt CM9 rom with prebuilt FFOS binaries using fosmaker. But I'm trying to build it from the source these days. Actually I got it to boot but the gui is not coming up. We'll see in few weeks.

Don't hold your breath though, I have an exam coming up and I can only start working on a fix after that.
PROBLEM SOLVED. Use the Firefox Os.sim card problem fixed here,now you can call,you can text,you can browse. Do everything whatever you want

Just a request...can we have offline recognition for typing from keyboards, as it asks for net connection for the same
I'm using it from this morning, the only bug i found until now, but a BIG bug is that when receiving a call it does not ring, and from that moment any other sound on speaker will not work anymore, the only thing that make it work again is plug in and out a jack, but another received call, another lap....

Today i supplied with this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.criticalltrial ovverriding my ringtone. But i had to do a trick on top of this, every call i receive i have to do one outgoing call and let someone asks, easy solution is to call operator' service number to know credit of your sim...
