[Q] i997UCKH2 - Samsung Infuse 4G

After visiting SamsungFUSNews @ Twitter, I was able to note a newer ROM version for Samsung Infuse AT&T.
Could this be a leak for GB 2.3.x?
Does anyone has access to download this?
You need to have the following tool to do it:
Samsung_Mobile_Firmware_Downloader_Lite.zip
It can be obtained from:
http://www.modaco.com/topic/314541-samsung-mobile-firmware-queries-downloads/
However you need to have a password for this matter, which I don't have access to.
Does any dev have access to this? Sounds like a great opportunity to what could be the official release for our phones

Well clearly it is not a GB ROM
I think we can close this thread then.
Thanks anyway

[Q] how to proceed from rooted ED2 to Altered Beast alpha 5 EE4?

What happened and how do I proceed to Altered Beast alpha 5 EE4??
Using link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1096657,
I flashed ABeastA3_DXC.tar.md5 successfully using Odin and my phone is now rooted with the AB theme, but the build resulted in ED2.
Details:
Hardware: i1510.06
Model: SCH 1510
Firmware: 2.2.1
Baseband: 1510.06 V.EE4 and SCH-1510.EE1
Kernel: 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #1
Build: SCH-1510.ED2
System is prompting me to do OTA update for EE4
Flash the Altered Beast Alpha V5 via CWM. It's the EE4 version.
I've been using Voodoo-AB5 for the past couple of weeks but just went to Bloated (supposed to be more stable) Gingerbread Gummycharged 1.5 EP1F
AB5 was stable despite being an alpha. You can put Nitro's charge honeycomb theme ontop of AB5 and make it look real slick.
Voodoo-AB5 seemed faster than GB-Gummy (there's no Voodoo for it yet), but GB has some nice stuff like more system tools, options, plus little differences and tweaks here and there - not to mention Netflix.
Don't forget to un-voodoo if you update to a non-voodoo kernel.

Thanks so much for taking interest in my request as Noob. I have AB alpha now. Will experiment as you suggest

MIUI uses an MIUI specific kernel, once your on it, don't flash any other kernels.
Search "galnet MIUI" on google, their latest weekly build should be up by tonight for the infuse. If not Galnet, you can use an MIUI build from HERE(this is the latest build of non-Galnet) or HERE(Some say this one is most stable)
Where can I find a miui kernel?
Its IN the MIUI rom you download...infuse doesn't have any modified MIUI kernels
Sent from my B.A. Infuse 4G
Yeah no need to flash a kernel because the miui rom has it built in when you flash it. And don't try flashing a different kernel when you're on the rom.
Google galnet miui. The latest build should be up later on. Hopefully.

[Q] Upgreade custom 2.3.4 to 4.0.4

Hello Guys,
I've got a few questions about upgreading my custom 2.3.4 to ICS.
Atm I'm using custom rom Cranium 3.1 based on XXKPH, with kernel 2.6.35.7-CL467143 [email protected] #1.
What should I do now, to get ICS on my SL.
1. Changing on stock rom ? If yes, then which one?
2. What with kernel ?
Thanks.
It doesnt maatters that which rom r u currently on but be on latest gb rom with cf root to be on safer side.
Then download cm9 zip from the respective thread then follow the instructions to install it on that thread.
Keep in mind its not completely bug free but still it is quite usable.

1. No need to change to stock rom if you just want to switch to ics, of your phone is rooted and had clock work mod, then you just need to flash any custom ics rom like remics, cm9 etc.
Then you can even change the kernel to vurrut or arindam or dhiru etc.
Firstly to consider, you're on kph. to have a stable base band, either flash kpq or kpu.
Follow this order
Xxkpe>xxkpu/kpq>root with bagaria.tar> ics rom> kernel(optional).
Search among the stickies on android development.
Press thanks if helped

G2x rooted stock rom and Mazouts GB kernel

Use the link below to flash into stock G2x rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1602798
You can find latest GB Mazouts kernel in dev forum.
Use their directions to flash the rom and kernel. I have used this combination and it worked on my phone with working bluetooth.
