Hi Guys, I may have (stupidly) soft-bricked my phone. I was trying to install a new kernel (lean kernel) but I mistook the post and flashed the TouchWiz version on my nightly build of CM10.1. I get a pink "Samsung Galaxy SIII" image if I try to boot. I cant seem to get it into recovery or download mode but it also lost juice when I flashed the kernel so, I dont know if it is charging or not. Any help is much appreciated!
*Im sorry I managed into Recovery*

if you got into recovery youre fine.
Hello everyone, and thanks for accepting me.
I bricked my phone.
I installed a cyanogenmod 4.1.2.
Then i wanted to try marmite 8.7 kernel.
All good. But i flashed the marmite for nexus S 4g.. The phone started, but it was very slow, i couldn't do anything on it.
So i turned it off, cheared cache, formatted system, etc..
And then, the bad news. I hadn't installed on my phone the custom rom, only the kernel.
Now i can enter in recovery, but i don't have any image to install and i don't have any recovery images.
What should i do now? How can i acces the usb storage to put an image on it?
Thanks, any help is appreciated!

I'm using ClockworkMod Recovery v6.0.1.0
I have an option, "mount USB storage"
But when i enter in it i have 2 options: -unmount and -go back
Above that it says:
USB Mass Storage device
Leaving this menu unmount
your SD card from your PC.
I don't understand, my Pc don't see the phone, it never saw it until i selected that usb debugging in settings.
I see that i am kinda "slow"...
Shame on me! I got it now. When i am in that menu, usb storage is opened.
Great news for me, can anyone tell me what should i do now?
Install a new rom, but what should i do about the kernel? Is it necessary to install a new one or the custom rom comes with it's own kernel?
I'm sorry for my stupid questions, but i'm really noob at this and i couldn't find my answers trough the forum

Any rom has a custom kernel, so if you flash a new rom it will have it's own kernel, so it is ok to flash a rom than gapps specific for that roms version (a rom based on android 4.1 has certain gapps and 4.2 another set, and 4.3 a different set of gapps). The good news is that after you flast a new rom if you decide on another kernel you can flash it afterwards exactly how you flashed the rom...just go to recovery and mount usb then copy the kernel flashible zip and you can flash it

Thank you everyone, my phone is working again, with 4.1.2. I will stay on stock cyanogen kernel, until i learn more about kernels.
I have another problem, my wireless module was always weak, i have poor signal on any router, unless i'm 4 meters away from it. Changing roms didn't solve the problem.
A friend suggested that i should flash another radio module, but i didn't see on forums anyone talking about this problem.
3G/HSDPA is ok, so is 2G network signal.
Anyone had this problem with weak wireless antenna? Should it be a hardware problem?

If you want to flash custom kernel again, just go to recovery flash the custom kernel then wipe cache and wipe dalvik then reboot. DONE.
But I think it's not necessary when using CM cause CM's stock kernel is already awesome. ^_^
Have you tried flashing the latest Nightlies? It's faster and more responsive, well at least for me.
Hello everyone,
I have a tablet naming HCL ME V1 and it supports only CWM Recovery 5.0.2.8 only.(I flashed it and it booted into recovery mode, no other recovery is booting.)
The recovery which i dowloded(5.0.2.8) has emmc partitions and my tablet have MTD partitions (when i flashed it started giving error like: cant mount cache\recovery\last_log. etc etc.)
so i edited the ramdisk(i replaced cwm recovery.fstab with stock recovery.fstab) but it didn't work for me.
So i decided to build it from source.
I know that CWM Recovery sources are with the CyanogenMod sources.
I want to download Cyanogen Mod 7 sources as zip because I don't have high-speed internet connection. So i will download it at another place.
So, I need a proper guide to build CWM recovery 5.0.2.8
Cwm online builder didn't help me.
And it will be helpful if a kind and experienced dev can make it for me.
Anyone also can look at here:

Q&A for [MOD] MultiROM v28d

My stock rom is not booting anymore. just black screen for more than 1 minute...
Installing multirom through the app
Hi guys, I've used the whole morning to read through all 100+ pages today. Now i'm back home and i'm ready to install this. But then I found out on the OP that it states that "You can install it either from MultiROM Manager app or from this guide".
Now im wondering if it means that i could just install the app through google play and its done? So i do not need to go through flashing it through recovery, modify recovery? just patching the kernel?
EDIT: i think i actually did it successfully already. Thanks for the great work 1
My personal cm11 builds, using no modifications won't boot using multi boot. Do I need to include something extra?
You need to use a patched kernels like ak kernels

As Whatsapp verifies your device (and rom) you'll have to verify your number every time you boot into another rom!
WhatsApp won't synchronise all your messages. (I'm pretty sure, the ones you wrote won't show up)
Edit:
Die anyone managed to install Dirty Unicorns as a secondary rom? Mine doesn't boot :/
Ok so i've run into some alarming problem (by alarming i mean that i haven't found i solution and that i can't boot)
So after I rooted my phone (TWRP installed) i decided to install multirom, i folowed the procedure. Custom TWRP is installed and running, the boot menu is working perfectly, and i havce the custom kernel, only problem is, i haven't any secondary rom installed, and i can't boot to primary (black screen for 2-3 minute then reload multirom boot menu)
Does any one have any idea of what i can do to try to fix this ?
ETA: I managed to boot to main rom again by flashing CM11s from the OPO toolbox, device ended up not rotted and iv'e got Cyanorecovery (default one) and default kernel.
After some test i'm sure the kernel is the source of the problem, i can easly get the recovery but everytime i try to install the kernel the phone won't boot or bootloop.
So essentially the kernel downloaded from the app doesn't seem to cooperate

Multirom work fine with Lolipop
I just flash Lolipop on my opo and it work fine, but if i flash it in secondary it cannot work.. So first I flash it as secondary, after complete of flashing I swap the internal ROM with the L ROM.. After L ROM become internal ROM I wipe it again then I flash all the file again.. Then it work fine, even I change the L ROM to secondary it work fine.. but my primary ROM cannot boot.. So for my primary ROM I will reset it back and flash the ROM back to see how it goes then..
cyanogen don't boot anymore
hello, thanks for the awesome work, i'm having an issue with cm (on my oneplus one) the other roms boot and works fine; but cm stay stuck on a black screen (i made cm updates :s) i already tried to flash kernel again but i doesn't work; an idea to fix this ?
Multirom and L
Having some difficulty getting Multirom to run an L ROM. When I install an L ROM as secondary and try to Boot, I get a bootloop. Then when I try to boot any of my other secondaries, they get stuck on the boot image after trying to boot L. I have to reflash the existing secondaries to get them to work. The Primary is never affected, it boots fine. I am running CM11s as primary with the AK.010.OPO.CM12 kernel. I have updated TWRP to the 20141116 version. The L version is bpear96's 11/16. Any help would be appreciated!
Yellowish screen
Hi, I just installed multirom on stock rooted rom and after reboot my screen became yellowish. I think it's a patched kernel problem. Anyone has got a solution?
Is it possible to have mahdi as primary rom and cm11s as secondary, and vice versa?

Hello, I have cm11s 44s with stock kernel. If i want cm12 as secondary I have to flash cm12 kernel in multirom app?
Hello, everyone. I have a small problem and I hope anyone will help very soon.
I unlocked my HTC One Max (Vodafone) and when I installed Superuser via recovery (TWRP), it wasnt yet rooted, so I guess I was mixin between tutorials. Then I saw the step for the unsecure kernel, downloaded it and flashed it. Now the problem is that my phone won't boot anymore and only takes me to recovery every time I choose reboot or restart system.
Can someone please help or link me to the solution if there was any.
Thanks a lot in advance

Flashing SuperSU.zip via twrp is pretty much rooting so we can leave that bit out:silly:
As for the trouble it could be either
1)you installed a wrong kernel not made for your phone
2)the installed twrp and kernel are not compatible together
I think its no.2 mostly and you'll need to make a choice between the two.
Solutions other than doing a hard reset as it will not fix your phone
1)restore a backup if you've made one beforehand
2)flash any ohrt ROM/kernel
3)flashing stock firmware
choose another recovery if you want To install and try your mentioned kernel/ROM
Note : flashing is a risky process so from now on make a backup before doing something and when following a tutorial try not to mix it up.
Try to get a good grip of what you're doing before doing anything good luck
