come on man search search search, theres a bible and guides and all types of goodies, but if you know what ODIN is you could flash GB leak, then flash one of our best devs roms, Audiophile, ICBINB, or Valhalla. Go over to the BIBLE and try out some guides and stuff that will get you in the right spot. It's not hard at all once you get familiar. PS CWM and Root will be included in the roms above, just have to flash the leak first, then flash Dr. Honks kernel with CWM built in.

Will do

Valhalla, but it's a long and winding path to get there.

Installing cwm

I'm wanting to install cwm, but Im running KG4 2.3.4 stock rooted. I found ways but have to be running froyo. Is there a way to install it while running gb? If not which is the best method of going back to froyo to install it. Thanks in advanced. I'm usually not one to ask for help, but this is my first Samsung. I have/had alot of htc phones and that's what I'm used to. If some1 wouldn't mind helping I've been to the Bible page. Just need to be pointed in the right direction now. Thanks again.
Edit. Just seen there was a sticky tab in the q&a thread... So now my question is sense I already have that rom installed can I just start at the step of installing the kernel? Or should I do it all over?
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA Premium App
When in doubt, do it over. You should just be able to install a kernel like Bali however, that has CWM built in.

Since you already have Gbread installed you just need to install a kernel with CWM.

Kg4 voodoo kernel is the only gingerbread compatible kernel with cwm voodoo built in.

I think I actually suggested that in my first post. Bali kernel carries the built in CWM.

To learn how to flash a rom you first need to learn to search. Look at the sticky in the Inspire 4G General section. It will teach you how to flash a Rom.

The same way you got CM7 of course.

Then even after you get help doing it, I would suggest you read up and try and uderstand what you are doing. You very well could end up having a brick that you can't do anything with except look at.
Miui is VERY buggy and cap, don't bother. Looks amazing but I'm back on CM7 after trying two different MIUI versions last night.

SEE YA!
I was actually really impressed with MIUI. I thought I was going to hate it because of the iphoneish look to the UI so I never bothered to try it but once I did it impressed me & I got the best benchmarks & speed tests out of it than any other rom. But I love my VU & sense :')

More than a noob

Hi everyone
Just rooted my sensation, installed Rom manager free and stucked in here.
I can't search in there for the Rom that I want to.
Is there any other program to find the favourite room? And of course I mean a free one?
What about free lock screens, wallpapers, live wallpapers, games etc?
Thanks to everyone who takes in consideration my question(hoping that are not stupid questions)

Otherwise just flash dl and flash away. Just make sure you have Firmware 3.32 before installing ICS
There are a few sence 4 Roms, I'm using Ordroid 8.6.5 right now I REALLY like it! I was curious about sence 4 also and decided to try it. I'm really glad I did! I REALLY like the 4.0 sense! If your interested Ordroid seems nice and stable I like it a lot. Have fun flashing! Try out a few Roms see which ones suit you best. Remember to make sure your firmware is correct for your rom. Happy flashing

Need NANDroid Backup for Rom Development

Does anyone have one that they can spare? I'm looking for one that came right after a fresh flash, hopefully gingerbread. I don't have this phone any more but I want to start development on it, and I need a system.img file and a few others to make it run in my AVD emulator. I've tried everything from decompiling RUU's to stripping apart rom after rom. I promise to wipe everything clean. PM me with a link if you can, I'll make sure to mention you when it's released. I already have it in late-alpha and I hope to work some bugs out and release it soon.
Thank you.

Well, mine is almost pure AOSP so anything like that would definitly work. I wouldn't say no to Sense though! It might be a little harder to strip down but it's worth the effort. The roms base is 2.3.3, so I can make pretty much anything gingerbread work
Thank you!
nand of gingerbread is hard to find ..ahh i know ..look here (remember they are of INDIAN version x.xx.720.x so things might be bit different ..or not )

Hi,
You will find it in THIS LIST
Thank you

Hi it's best to try out several roms for yourself and see which suits you best. This question is really subjective because everyone has a different opnion. I personally love the jelly bean rom called paranoid Android by Dragun. It's awesome and has great development! You can make your phone a hybrid of a tablet if you wish. It's got a wonderful panoramic camera, lots of great stuff. but others might not agree and have there own favorite. So try out several and see what YOU think. Don't forget to do your nandroid backups before so you can restore your original rom if you get in a pinch. Have fun, experiment, try new things! You will soon discover which is your favorite. And that's what matters. Which one YOU like. Best wishes and happy flashing.

Realsis makes a good point, its all about what you like.
Personally, I like Cyanogenmod since it is really fast and relatively lightweight compared to a Sense rom. Try it out.
Realsis is right. Try a few and see what YOU like

Whats a good rom with Jelly bean for my sensation 4G
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda app-developers app
It's all a matter of opinion. I personally like paranoid Android by Dragun. It's jelly bean. Smooth, fast, stable, and amazing. But this again is only my opinion. Try for yourself and form your OWN opinion. That's the best way. I
Can't tell you what you like and what you don't, you must find that out for yourself! Do some experimenting and find YOUR favorite.

Alright if it supports jelly bean alright
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda app-developers app
Yes it's jelly bean and it's surprisingly stable. I love it! I tried jelly bean in there form of paranoid Android by dragun korr. And now I'm hooked! Also on that particular rom you can make your phone a tablet, or a phone tablet cross or just regular if you like. Tons of available customization! You can read or watch the video how to do it if you choose that rom. I use it as my daily driver. There development is very active and it's smooth like butter. I'm using there kernel 3.0.50 and I have excellent battery life! I've been very pleased with it. Give it a try and see what you think.

Hi,
Look HERE
It lists 3 separate ways to install 4 EXT.
Thank you i got it working a while ago & i got my rom but i dont have any Googleapps no play store no contacts none where do i get it
Do a quick search for the gapps. You'll find them in no time. Then after you have downloaded the flashable zip just boot into your chosen recovery and flash the zip. There is normally a gapps link in your roms OP. Hope this helps.
