Is the Epic 4G going to get an ota update to 2.3 anytime soon or should I just stop waiting? I know there is a leaked version of it but I would like the official one. Does anyone have any info on this?

Hey guys i am a very displeased user of Sprint's Hero. I've had to custom install many different versions of android over the last year that i've had it because sprint doesn't like to update its phones. Well I know there isn't an official release for this update but i really want 2.2 on my phone so if someone could post a link to the ROM for my phone that would be really helpful. Or is a version even out yet?

My Epic is flashed and working on Boost. I was told that if I upgrade to 2.2/ Froyo it would mess up the flash. I was told only OTA update would work. Does anybody know if this is true? If not, how can I upgrade to Froyo?
I have the Samsung Captivate running Froyo 2.2 via the leak that has been out for a while. I noticed that a few days ago the official upgrade was released and wanted to update because of the glitches on the leaked version. I was wondering if I would still be able to update to the official version without having to downgrade.
Wow you guys are so helpful I get to answer my own posts. Yes you need stock 2.1 to get the update for kies mini to even recoginze your phone

Hi,
I have a droid 2 that is currently running the leaked version of the gingerbread ROM that was released a few months ago. Now that Motorola has finally rolled out the official gingerbread update, I'd like to switch back to that. How would I go about doing this? Is there an official ROM that I could flash on to go back or an update that I could do?
Also, once I get on the official Gingerbread release, is there a way I could root the phone again? Has anyone tried rooting this release yet?
