OK so can a dev please tell me or direct me to the right places on how to make a rom. I'm really interested in giving this a shot!!!! Any info will be greatly appreciated

That site is great, but it doesn't really teach you how to build a rom.
In all honesty, there are no sources out there that will literally teach you to build a rom. You need to mess around with the source, and get used to it.

OK- I'm not a dummy and been here for a while but can someone please explain what Red Sonja is? I thought it was a ROM but it's not in the Developer thread? Just a small explaination will do....... If it is a Rom can you please give a small description of it- I am searching now so don't flame me please......
It's a ROM under development from The Collective. Also the dev doesn't even have the phone yet

It is being trully developed from the ground up from a system dump of a att ota update
all pure
all by hand
NOT just another port/kang or rip off Rom!!!
i will also be doing the kernel

The collective has great roms for the inspire 4g. I dont expect anything less for the skyrocket.
So he needs $150 to buy a new SR? Or he needs a unlocked one ?

u got lucky. they got to ur question before I did
I plan on doing a rom build in order to give the galaxy s 4G a rom that is ICS but runs like the gs2 like say the port of gs3 but want to keep it a lil more simple and just like an OTA of ICS to the galaxy s 4G

SlimBean use CM10 Kernel as stock with the ROM, So far every CM10 compatible Kernel work on it.

In all seriousness, it's actually not a friendly forum at all. The devs are great for providing us with their work, but that's where the greatness ends. You have overzealous mods, people who take this **** way too seriously, trolls, and then idiots.
