How is the analog FM radio reception quality on the Desire S?
The Aria has excellent reception but the HD2 is unusable.
I hope the Desire S radio sounds good as the Aria.
Any good?

My HD2 was solid, good for FM Radio reception.
Can no longer test my Desire S because I don't have any earphones with an antenna left.
I'd say that the FM recption was "average" for a typical FM radio, BUT much better than I have seen on many other smartphones I have played with.
It's certainly MUCH better than my previous phone (HTC Blackstone).
I'm using it with Sennheiser headphones, so the leads may be longer than the HTC earpieces (which I haven't tried yet), so improving reception.
Here in Portsmouth UK the SD finds over a dozen FM stations and the reception is good enough to log the station names for most of them.

Thanks for imforming on that guys. Thanks.

On my Desire S the FM reception is not good, gets only strongest stations, where in same area I could with cheap Samsung phone get good reception for weaker stations as well.
I use Tune In instead but that uses data of course.

Has any any body tried if the wireless motorola headphones that ship with motorRoKR are compatible with hermes?I mean if they produce good sound these might be the best wireless headphones in the market...
i think they are stereo and produce good sound...Need ur suggestions guys.....Are they compatible with pocket pcs?
I use them with my TyTyn2, they're just amazing, by far one of the best BT A2DP headsets on the market. The sound qualoty is far out, but the only drawback is when you're walking and stuff it looses signal quite easily, skips a bit on the songs.

What if their quality is compared to wired headphonees?Rokr headphones are stereo?
As in far out I meant amazing, the wired ones are no comparison, the S9 headset blows away any wired headsets I have ever listened to, except for the high end ones like Koss etc.
Motorola S9 rulez!

I agree with that. I use the MotoRokr (motorola S9) with my Htc TyTN, and the sound quality is amazing!!! But the only thing is, that the bluetooth headsets use a greater CPU amount, and that slows the HTC kinda down. But the sound quality is incredible!
They Should Work
I Have The HTC Titan And they Work Fine With It.. (music And Video) I also Have The Bluetooth Connection For my iPod.. Its nice cause the motorokr has multi point tech. I can listen to my iPod (wirelessly) and still recieve calls
Hi anybody knows of a good Bluetooth headset that can be used for listening to music and making phone calls, also one that has descent to excellent sound quality.

Motorola HT820, about 6-8 hours playtime. Built-in microphone, buttons to play/pause forward/backward answer calls plus volume buttons. I've been using those for the past 3 years. Great design, not too bulky sweat resistant design so they are perfect for gym.
Cheaper knock-off version - http://www.dealextreme.com/p/x6-sport-mp3-player-bluetooth-headset-w-fm-tf-101285
I've been using a SE MW600 with my HTC Desire HD and now with my Sensation, the sound quality is better then with the stock headset.
+1
Sony Ericsson MW600 is a neat headset. Has FM radio as well. Great value on this headset even though you cannot see/read the tracks because you are not using a SE phone. But the radio does! And lists the song it plays on FM mode too.
I am using the JayBird F3, well worth the $100 they cost.

How's the sound quality on music and call and does this work with the music app that came with the phone?

I have been using Jabra BT3030. Love it as I hate the ones that go around your head and like that I can use whatever headphones I like. Battery life is great and sound quality is really good.

The quality is excellent, not super bright on the treble, all options and buttons work with my Sensation.
I have a Jabra Clipper but it constantly drops out. Does anyone else have this issue? Are there any tips for improving the connection, etc?
I'm using the Samsung HM3700 headset
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/BHM3700NDACSTA?from_mobile=true
In my personal use it has a good range, it handles bass well. But I am no audiophile so my expectations could be low

I have nokia BH 503 , more a music thing , but plenty of buttons (pick up , play , forward etc..) and real good battery life, nice sound , etc ..
+1 for the MW600.
Cheap, works well... 3.5mm jack for your own headphones
I just bought the Sony HBH-IS800's. They sound great and I got them off Amazon for $60. Only downside is 4-5 hours of battery life.
I too am looking for a good, inexpensive bluetooth headset, but I think what I desire is impossible. I am looking for a bluetooth headset that has a FM tuner built in, and has 10+ hour battery life or uses traditional AAA batteries. Anyone have any leads whatsoever?
I wonder if this same topic is in the general forum..........

The closest you'll get to that is the Sony Ericsson MW600. Battery life is great but it doesn't use AAA batteries. It does have a good FM radio built in and you can use your own earbuds.
Kpjimmy's right, the MW600 is very good. You can't charge it and use it at the same time, but I get over 7 hours use on a charge. Sounds good plugged into a hifi as well as with headphones : )

if you are looking for bluetooth headset, try Sony Ericsson MW600. it can accommodate up to 3 bluetooth devices and it has a built in FM tuner.
Probably not the answer you're looking for but I needed a speaker for my phone and elected for wireless via bluetooth for ease of connectivity and roaming around my apartment.
I ended up buying the Logitech Wireless Boombox. I love the thing. It was an absolute lifesaver at a party we threw at our house. It's not as powerful as a traditional boombox but it will do the job for a small patio. My favorite feature is that it's rechargeable and can go up to 6 hours without being plugged in. I will add though that there is an increase in volume when plugged in.
My wife wanted one for her (since I would always take mine on business trips), but wanted something more compact. We tried our luck with a Zimri bluetooth speaker from Fry's for $30. Jeez.. right out the box, I was impressed with the thing. Honestly, for $30 I was expecting build quality to be poor, but it was quite the opposite. The thing has a little weight to it for a tiny speaker. The sound? For a tiny little thing it actually sounds decent, though it cannot compete with my Logitech of course. However, one of the best features of the Zimri is that it plays at top volume with little to no distortion. Add to it the fact that it too is rechargeable and wireless, you can hide the thing practically anywhere. I highly recommend it if you're not willing to fork out $199 on the Jawbone version (that thing sounds awesome too by the way).
My 2012 VW Jetta does a fantastic job!

So the headphone jack on my Sensation has been less then pleasant lately. Reading up about it, it seems its a common hardware problem. Seeing as its a common problem, I feel sensing my phone in is going to be a temporary fix as it could happen again. I'll also be without a phone for sometime.
I was thinking about getting a Bluetooth to stereo adapter. I looked up a bit and found one called the Clipper by Jabra.
http://www.jabra.com/products/bluetooth/jabra_clipper/jabra_clipper
I'm looking for something like this, however the reviews on Amazon arent promising.
Does anyone know of an alternative to the Clipper that works well?

Sony Ericsson MW600 is a gem. Have this since my Nexus One days. Like the clipper you can use pretty much any headphones/in ear earbuds/ you want. And the unit is also a FM radio as well. Track listing I think works now too. Not 100%.

Very nice!! Still in my price range too. The reviews are way, way better.
If you don't mind me asking, do you use it for music very frequently, and how is the sound quality/loudness? I plan on using this primarily for music.
I have the T-mobile S 4, it doesn't include the FM radio like my old i9300.
I need the FM radio for going to the gym where the audio for the TVs is broadcasted thru FM.
I see that either Jabra Tag or the Sony MW1 are bluetooth headsets with FM radio built in. Jabra Tag looks kind of ugly and it is only released recently. The Sony MW1 has quite a bit of positive reviews.
I was wondering if anyone here has the MW1? If so, can you please answer the following?
1. Does the MW1 work with Samsung wired headset? I have read that Sony uses a different pin designation for mic on their headsets (CTIA vs OMTP)
2. Does the FM radio work on the MW1 if I use the Samsung headset? (If I don't care about the mic?)
Thanks!

OP is trying to listen to the TV at the Gym, not regular radio station, Tune In app won't help
Nobody?
Do you know those cheap fm - receiver, it would be perfectly for your gym, they are light and you can plug in your headphones, I mean just get some cheap in-ears and thats all you need. If your sportswear has no pouches, look after one with a sturdy clip-on
I have a white ATT S4, picking up a 32gb tonight, not sure which I'll keep maybe both for now.
I have the Sony MW1 and MW600 have not paired it to the S4 yet. but from using it on my previous devices I can tell you.
the Mic is on the dongle itself. the headphone jack is standard pinouts I've used other headphones with it just fine. Assuming the samsung included headphones use standard pinouts (I dont see why they wouldn't) it should work without a problem, just the mic on the wire would be non functional, but the mic on the dongle should work.
I use my MW600 most of the time the MW1 occasionally, it's bulkier but has it's own mp3 player which is nice.
I read a new model is coming soon Sony SBH50 is the name saw it on engadget yesterday also includes FM radio.
The MW600 is awesome.
Been using one for two years.
Most likely buy another soon. Battery life down to about eight hours.

I too have the MW600. It has the following device settings.
1 x FM radio
2 x Computers
1 x Phone
I have my MW600 pared to my laptop, HTPC and S4 and works like a champ. Sound is great with awsome bass, mids and highs. The head phone can be replaced with another one or one of your choice.
The replacement headphone is 3 pin. The microphone is not in the head phone but the Dongle body itself as well as all the controls.
You cant go worng with this BT headset.
Wizz
Currently using the mw600 white..cos my note is in a IFACE casing and can't really use my Westone with it..thinking of getting the mw1..looks really good..
