Is this normal?

I've upgraded to ICS yesterday and it seems that my "Android OS" is constantly working. Is this normal?

Dead pixel line

So call it bad luck but after having the tablet for a week, and just unlocking it yesterday, yesterday night I look and see a horizontal line if dead pixels about 2/3 down my screen.... Anyone else experience thisv and somehow fix it without RMA?

Wallpaper cropped at bottom

Can't figure out why the bottom is cut. I'm using PAC xperia Rom...went through all the options and couldn't find anything.
Any ideas?
