[Q] HTC Sensation deceased? - HTC Sensation

Hello everyone, yesterday evening, return home and I realize that the cell is turned off, think "will discharge the battery," put in office, at which point the LED turns on and off then after 5 / 6 flashes then stays on for 5 seconds back other to blink 3 times and then turn off everything completely but the phone does not want to re-ignite. I tried to remove battery and was in charge all night but nothing to do, no signs of life.
anyone have any ideas?
though unfortunately had to serve as a service bought in germany sensation with vodafone branding, those who contact the warranty?
thanks to all who will be able to give me a help
Sorry for English greetings

Which clock work mod are you running? some people are having trouble charging while the phone is turned off because of clock work mod, you will need to buy a new battery or charge the battery in another sensation long enough so you can turn the phone on and charge it. Hope this helps!

+1 My thoughts exactly. Currently using CWM 5.0.1.0 and have no problems. Died out the battery completely and was able to pull a charge and have it show via LED.

Hello and thanks for your response, recovery, if I remember correctly is 4.1 and something.

SOLVED! for all to hear:
I took a cable "that I had the ugliest" I cut and I got the black and red wires, attached to the battery manually "on the red positive" and "negative black" to give a little charge and after a while I put battery in the phone is finally on again ....

[Q] Battery/Charging Problem

Heya all!
So a few a week before Christmas I unrooted my inspire to give to my girlfriend for christmas and she liked it very much.
She used it for a few weeks but a few days after New Years she said it wouldn't turn on and when she plugged her phone in to the charger it did something weird.
So I went over and checked it out...
When I plugged the inspire in the screen lit up showed a full green battery and the LED was amber and blinking then it suddenly went looked as if it wasnt charging anymore... Then it showed the screen and went blank and did this cycle for a few minutes....
She used all the wall plugs in her house and her laptop and got the same results... So is this a charging or a battery issue? Any help would be appreciated
Thank you all in advance!
EDIT: Also when the battery comes on the screen there is no % sign

Sounds Like a bad battery but is also symptoms of a failing main board. Try a different battery if you got one and if it still fails, send it in for warranty

Just ordered a battery and should be here in 2 days or so .... Then Ill go and try it around saturday... Hopefully thats just what it is!
And if not I shall just send it in...
Thank you for your help!
Also another question... If the main board has died do they replace the whole phone?
Don't know for sure, but you will probably get one that has already been refurbished. That's usually how it works.
Did you try another Charger or USB
Did you try another charger and or USB? The reason I ask is i had a issue with mine not exactly the same; however similar. I would charge for hours and only get a 3- 5 % increase. I thought my battery had went. Then I was connected to my car charger and it seamed to work a better. I then tried my wife's charger for her Atrix and it worked fine. My charger had went bad. If you haven't tried another charger it my be a good idea.
Sorry it would not let me quote the original post.

[SOLVED] Phone won't turn on. Orange led blinking.

Hello.
I have a problem.
The battery discharged and phone turns off.
I pluged wall charger and orange led blinking (about 20minutes now).
I just try to remove and reinsert battery, with no luck.
The phone won't turn on and orange led still blinking.
It's oryginal htc sensation battery, and have about half year.
Any help???
Maybe it's extremely drained, leave it on charge a bit more.
Or seek Help here:
http://forums.androidcentral.com/mytouch-4g-rooting-roms-hacks/61835-phone-wont-turn-has-orange-led-flashing.html
or here:

I´ve got this as well. You can fully charge your phone until the LED becomes green, and it wont start either.
Just pull out the accu after you charged it a bit and insert it again. Plugin the AC and start the Sensa as allways.
But now you will probably recorgnise, that your accu percentage is different to the infomation in power-menu...
If you have CWM on the phone it won't charge when fully drained - hence the flashing orange LED
You need to either use a separate battery charger OR (and this is what I did):
1. Remove the battery
2. Cut a strip of a fabric plaster (bandaid) and use it to cover the middle 2 contacts on the battery, making sure to leave to 2 outer ones free
3. Put it back in the phone
4. Put the phone on charge for 30 minutes
This should give it enough charge to boot up so remove the strip and turn the phone back on. Assuming it boots up, put it on charge until fully charged

Yep, I think also about this but.
"Charged" about 3hrs. Orange led was still blinking also.
So I remove the battery and try to boot in recovery.
It's incredible, phone enters into CWM!
I did the battery wipe, and restart the phone.
And it works! Phone boot up, and battery still charging from about hour now!
Are not the two centre contacts on the battery for the temperature sensor?
Covering these up on a faulty battery could be dangerous.
John.
It's just to get charge to be able to boot the unit, once you can boot it you remove the strip and the battery goes back to normal function. Trust me, I had to do it and it works!
Yes, I would do it myself to get my phone working, but it`s best to warn people to be careful.

Hello again,
The problem returns.
Sometimes I allow the battery to be discharged and the phone turned off.
What do you think? Problem is with any power management in the phone or battery?
I don't have second battery to test it now

This has just happened to me - battery drained overnight. I had plugged it in to charge before I went to bed but I must have knocked it free. Result is a completely dead phone that will not power on even if plugged in. Flashing orange light as described. Soooo....I cut a strip of plastic, covered the middle pins and put on charge. However I have a question....should there be any charge light with this middle pins covered up set-up
Thanks
When your phone runs out of charge it needs a sufficient amount of charge to even turn on
I get the blinking led all the time after my phone shuts down due to low battery.
Just let it blink and after 15 min or so it should become solid.

I remember reading somewhere that orange and green flashing leds are a sign of overheating.

[Q] Blank screen when turning on phone?

Hi, I'll explain what happened.
My phone recently turned off (the screen kind of fizzled away to black) So I assumed this was the battery running out. When I got home I put it on charge and as I usually do waited a few minutes, then tried to turn on, to charge whilst on, the screen lit up the phone vibrated and the start up tune played, but only a lit up blank screen appeared?
I thought it might need more charging so I removed the batter to turn it off and put on charge again, whilst it was "charging" there was a flashing amber light for about 4 seconds at a time, this never turns steady or green, when just leaving on charge.
After numerous batter removals and replace the phone still does the same thing when turned on, but now with no sound, and still appears if the screen is on but blank and the four soft keys are lit, then if I press the power button or if I leave it, the screen goes off itself until I press the power key again (this same thing that would happen if going to lock screen). All of this happening with a now flashing green light?
I tried to access phone by USB cable and although laptop picks up fact something is plugged into USB, it doesn't appear on HTC sync or memory card doesn't appear.
When trying to hold in volume down and power on it's as if it's going to the right screen but still blank.
Stock rom on phone, S-OFF
Anyone have any ideas, without replacing phone?
Thanks
its seems like your phone has bricked.
1. First try this
2. if step 1 doesnt work, follow this
read step by step. good luck!
Have you tried a new battery? My phone went completely black while charging and it showed no signs of life, no charging light nothing. It was a new battery with about 60Percent charge when I put it on the charger. I noticed like you did, I tired to charge more but not even a light would come on. I happened to have another fully charged battery I kept as a spare. When I put the spare battery in, the phone sprang back to life! I threw the other battery away and have had zero problems since. So I suggest you try a new fully charged battery before you do any thing else. Strange thing was the battery I was using was fine the day before and even had the 60 percent charge when I put it on charger. I'm not sure how it happens but somehow the battery just died on charger. So give a new battery a try and see if it will also help you. If it doesn't, then likely it's failure of your device. But please do try because the exact same thing happened to me and the new fully charged battery fixed the problem! I'm hoping it will also fix it for you! Best of luck! You can get a good battery online for under 20 dollars. I recommend Anker extended battery. I really hope this works for you! Let us know.

So I get to the point where I have to ./brickdetect.sh and the phone isn't picked up or recognised, any idea how I can get the laptop to pick up the connection properly?

[SOLVED][Q] HTC Sensation won't turn on

On Monday night I used the Juopunut bear S-OFF method successfully and then installed ClockworkMod Recovery and Cyanogen Mod 10. It was working like a dream I absolutely loved it. I restarted it many times etc and it worked completely fine, I had zero issues. However last night, I turned the phone off and then plugged it in to charge. When I woke up this morning I cannot turn it on, no matter what I do. When I plug it in to the charger the orange light turns on for about 1 second and then turns off. Is my phone bricked? Is my battery dead? Thanks in advance

It works!
After letting it charge for about 20min while the orange led blinked on and off every second I unplugged it, held down the power button, and the beautiful HTC logo illuminated across my screen. I'm now up and running and the device is charging. I'm very glad I didn't buy a new battery for $40. I'm hoping this will never happen again but if it does I won't be alarmed. If anyone out there is having a similar issue do not fret!
Problems with HTC Sensation
My HTC Sensation has become unusable due to faults that have recently developed. I sent it off to HTC but apparently it has 'water damage' even though I've always been incredibly careful with it and never dropped it in a puddle or anything.
I'm new to this website so I'm not sure how to go about getting advice.
If someone could help me on how to get some answers it would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
I dropped my mobile in water, dried it with hair dryer left it fir a week and then it started again.

Poco F2 Pro does not turn on when charging

Hey!
Yesterday I've stumbled upon a very serious (to me) problem, to which I cannot find any solution anywhere - I guess nobody so far reported anything like that.
My phone went out of battery (discharged to 0% and turned off, it was when I really could not plug it to charging).
When I connected it to charging, there was no reaction apart from the red light at the top of the frame, indicating that the phone is charging, but has low battery.
Apart from that, the phone looks like it is dead. It does not respond to anything - cannot be turned on nor enter the recovery/fastboot mode. The screen simply remains black, while the diode located in the pop-up camera lights red. As soon as I disconnect the phone, the red light goes off too.
I've had exactly the same problem once in the past, but then it came back to normal after 2-3 hours of charging with the red light on. Then the light became yellow, indicating the battery is "normal" and the screen regained functionality and the system booted like normal. This time however, it has been charging for over 24 hours and the phone still plays dead and the annoying red light is still there, giving me hope that the phone is not entirely dead.
How can I fix that? Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong subforum, but that's my first time. I only used your custom ROMs and kernels back in 2015-2017, but never posted anything.
Any feedback on the problem will be greatly appreciated!
I take it you tested with another cable and or another charger?
Which rom currently?

thank you for answering!
The charger and cable does not matter, the issue is still there. The phone detects that it is being charged, right now it has been charging for about 25 hours with several breaks for several minutes (I tried turning it on with the charger unplugged).
ROM is the latest official stable MIUI release. On this particular phone I haven't unlocked bootloader or messed with software in any way.
don't bother, send it back to the seller.
.
okay, thank you. I will wait and see if anyone else got any suggestion.
Put some pressure on the right hand top of the phone or try to bend it a little bit on that spot.
When it is charging then, send it back to the reseller under warranty.|
It happened with a few users and they got under warranty a new F2 Pro. (EU).
How long did you press on power on to turn it on? It take less than 5 sec to power on normally.
Once I have to press for long time to turn it on.
I got the same problem just now. Did you discover a fix?
