Lurk around this forum to learn about customization. That's what I did to get started and I learned so much in the past few months. Remember, Google is your best friend.

Have some issues..

Hi XDA Im new to the forums and I have some questions. I've had my Infuse for about 2 months now and its a great device. My problem is that some applications will not keep me signed in. After awhile they either log me out. Or I have to click on accept terms and conditions again. I've tried moving the apps off of my sd card to my phone but it still does the same thing. If anyone can help me out i would greatly appreciate it.

Zedge
Androidify
The Weather Channel
Bible
Those are it. I don't know why. My wife has the Infuse as well and she isn't having those issues. I even.compared our settings and they're the same..

Flash valahalla, audiophile or icbinb gb and that will fix all your problems. I got so used to the smoothness and speed of these roms that stock is just not usable for me anymore.

you need to repost this in Q and A
this is a place for developers not questions, move your thread the the Q and A section of the SGS 4G forums.
Stick it in potting soil and water it well. In about a year you can pick the ripe cellphones off the tree.

First thing is that this is not the place for questions. Second is that there are too many reasons to root your phone to list here. Just read all the threads to get an idea. There are 2 bad sides to rooting. 1 you loose your warrenty. It becomes void. 2 if you mess up your phone beyond repair you have no warrenty.

Just to add a bit to that: you really have to do something stupid to hard brick your phone. The worst case scenario for flashing the proper things would be soft bricking. Flashing the wrong things would hard brick you.

Before you Get flamed anymore be sure to read the three sticky threads. Mr. Clown and lufc are the mods for this forum and will move this thread to general where it belongs. They also lay out some of the ground rules to help prevent flaming. The Bible finally got stickied, there you will find all the info you need about rooting, custom roms, themes, and mods for our phone. There is a great tutorial on how to root a well. Finally This device its very unique so don't stray too far from gs4g forums, that its how most get into trouble. Lighten up and Happy flashing

Please recommend a ROM for my wife's phone...

I have a samsung galaxy s2 epic 4g touch so I'm not familiar with any ROMs for her phone. I'm just looking for something stable and that has better-than-stock battery life and performance. She's not a tech junkie or anything like that, so it doesn't have to be anything fancy or anything that's going to require a lot of customizing. She likes her stock setup, but she's been complaining about battery life lately.
Thanks in advance for the help!
This is the Galaxy S 4G forum. The Epic 4G Touch forum can be found here. Good Luck with your quest!

Just read up online and follow a guide. I've rooted my nexus5 and am definitely not a computer whiz. First time took me a long time but mostly because I was nervous and wanted to be absolutely sure of what I was doing.

Ya I was too but I read tons online & watched video guides. You don't have to learn what every little thing means but like you I was very worried doing it so I took the time to learn and was panicking when I finally did it but then.... so worth it and fun! As long as your careful, you're good to go!
