Hi, I have a an HTC Device but a custom rom that doesnt have a HTC apps or HTC sense UI.. is there any way i can install HTC Apps (HTC Camera, calendar, phone/dialer, etc..) to my non HTC sense ROM?..
i always get install failed if i install for example the HTCCamera.apk..
Most HTC apps are reliant on the Sense UI and other libraries which aren't there any more.
Never gonna happen. All HTC apps are part of HTC Sense and use it's framework for a lot of stuff.
That is why I always tell people: HTC Sense is NOT a simple launcher with special HTC widgets. It's a whole experience.

You're never gonna get the vanilla Android look with HTC Sense apps.

Sense is running throughout the whole system, you can't disable it. You can remove some visuals to hide it (launcher, apps, widgets, etc) but you can not modify Sense rom to be AOSP.

hi, I like this rom, but I dislike the "carusell" thats introduce the home screen. Anyone have a solution how I can fox this. Is there any tweaks I can use?
It is a feature on Sense 3.0 and up.
Use the android development section to find your prefered rom.

Sensation xl port has option to switch this introducing carousel off....so may be you need Rc tweaks.
