Case-Mate Tough: 2 thumbs up

I got my Case-Mate Tough and I am really liking it.
The hard outer shell allows for easy removal from pockets, which is huge for me.
Overall, I like it a little more than an Otterbox Defender I had for the iPhone. I feel like it will protect just as well and it is simpler and less bulky. I feel like a normal drop, from a normal height, it will hold up just as well as a Defender.
I would definitely recommend this case.

I ordered one last night. I had it for the Nexus One and loved it. Can't wait for it to get here.

Where did you buy it from and do you have any pics of the case.

Any comments on the included screen protection? I am trying to decide between ordering one of these and waiting for an Otterbox commuter or defender.

most screen protectors that come with these cases are garbage, you're better off shelling out a few extra bucks and getting a zagg or clear coat.

just got mine in the mail from att (2days after bought) instantly love it .. my phone feels so less fragile lol

Just ordered one at the AT&T store today.
Talked then down to $14 + tax

Don't guess you looked very hard. My first Google search brought this up:

$19.99 direct from CaseMate. A little cheaper than on the AT&T site that had them for 24.99 but I don't know about shipping costs.

Got one for the Inspire and one for the HD2, $29.98 total shipped.
Case-Mate site has free 4-6 day shipping.

i picked one up at work today and it really nice, color me impressed. Still thinking about getting the pop! case from them as well.

Screen protector that came with it is not great but it works. Had a zagg on my first inspire and I didn't like it. I couldn't remove it and reuse it so AT&T has it now, but the spray you put on the film leaves bubbles underneath and that bugged me.

Case-mate barely there case

Just got mine today, came with a screen protector.
fits great, has soft feel and is not slippery in the hand at all.
Its my second case-mate I've owned and I'm definitely satisfied. If you want the right case the first time and not to deal with the riff raff, this Is for you.

just got in the mail couple of minutes ok. Great purchase, very light and tight on the phone , like OP said comes with a screen protector (which am not using) and a cloth to wipe your screen down , which leave it like new too

It acually comes off without a struggle too, which it seems a lot of these style cases lack. Cheers

Just ordered as well. I've been using OtterBox for my T-Mobile G2, but the tab attaching the front piece to the phone on OtterBox case is broken. We'll see how well case-mate case holds up.

Still a little pricey for me, the rubber ones one ebay have the same rubbery feel and also look and protect the same for less then $5. Just my opinion though

how rubbery is it? The original case I bought from Tmobile would get stuck in my pocket when I would try and pull it out. Now I am rocking a clear case but one of the tabs recently broke so I am looking for another

Its not rubbery to the point that its hard to take out of pocket, just feels nice in the hand, and not as slippery as a gloss finish.
Spending $20 bucks to adequately protect a device that costs $500 out of contract is well worth it imo.
Like I said, I reccomend it to the people not interested in wading through the waves of ebay garbage for $1.99

like the name says this case is really light, but protects your phone well

I've got my DZ with the Barely There case for about a month now, and I'm very happy with it. You don't even notice the screen protector, and the case itself doesn't make your phone look like a new refridgerator, but it does make your phone feel like it's sturdy enough to survive an accidental drop on the ground.
I recommend the CM BT case to every DZ user

I was actually not aware of this brand (Case-Mate) before, and was therefor very surprised to see that the case i bought for 5$ in a little Chinese shop in manhattan looks 99% the same (only difference i could see is the hole on top right corner of the back, as i've seen in several other cases, but not mine.)
i think for 1/4 of the price, its well worth it

Nexus 4 Cases - UK

Theres nothing around!! They're just sleeves lol! :crying: Anybody know off any good cases that are out in the UK to use meanwhile. So far the options are bad, and I don't want to use a naked phone lol.

I'm waiting for the S gel cases to appear, it's bound to happen before one from China would arrive for me.
In the mean time I guess I'll just keep it in a sock/pouch type thing I have lying around.

Mobilefun are showing 3 dedicated cases , but these are NOT released yet , probably be soon though.

Better off going online to find a case. High st retailers have a bad selection of cases.

I need something until the official bumper turns up (damn! this phone is slippery) so I've ordered the black Flexishield from Mobilefun and will report back with my opinion.

S-Line case is very nice for the N4. Very grippy and looks good too. However, if you're buying this expecting it to prevent scratches on the back, don't. I have 3 or 4 fine scratches at the top of the rear glass after taking the phone out of the case. I'm sure it would help with shattering if it fell, but it seems to have caused a few scratches on the back :/ They're only visible at a certain angle but there are quite a few of them.
Nevertheless, they're just fine scratches and definitely nothing to cry about. I'm going to continue using the case!

I got my S line case a couple of days ago, for 99p including delivery to (and from) the UK - it was 2 days, it's rather great! Grippy, comfortable, not bulky and not scratching the phone either.

It is a ridiculous situation for a piece of injection moulded plastic that must cost less than a pound to manufacture.

I have the Bumper on order but am getting by with an S- line case and a pouch. I'm preferring the pouch though as the S- line, although grippy, feels woefully cheap.

Ionic Guardian + Spigen screen prot.
Well we (in the UK) can pre-order the ionic guardian ... which I think I'm going to do so my phone can hopefully take a few knocks (shame about no otterbox) ... and combine it with the spigen screen protector, just can't choose between oleophobic and ultra crystal ....

Anyone got a better/more protective set up that we can get here? .... I'm guessing there'll be a new wave of people in the UK looking into cases now that we were able to order again today (I luckily managed to get in on the 1-2 weeks but aren't counting my chickens till I get a shipping email)

Just read some feedback on sellers ID and people are happy with it, Quality looks good. Also watched videos on youtube about Nillkin Matte Hard Cover and its positive so going to order for my nexus4 which i will get 1-2 weeks.

This is pretty ridiculous now...I ordered a bumper on 13th November!! Over 3 weeks later and it's still pending...Google Play support phone operators don't have any useful information about it...has anyone here gotten one of these yet from Google UK??

I don't see a slot for the speaker on there. I know it's just a photoshopped mock up, so they could have just missed it, but all the other phone mock ups have cutouts for the speakers

Im in for one. Meaning the XDA case. Looks nice and it's only 10 bux. Kinda sucks that it's preorder though lol. But I like the style nonetheless.

Good lord, you really just uploaded all those screen caps?

I received one a couple days ago, I got the classic camera. The picture on it is nowhere near as nice as in the listing. Its less bright and sharp looking. The black parts of the "camera" on mine is textured. I think some are glossy smooth depending on which you go for.
The fit itself is good but provides no protection fo rthe top/bottom if that is what you are looking for. One thing I don't like is mine has a cut out for the sim slot but I have seen one which doesn't have this.
