Next Nexus device headed to At&t! {RUMOR}

BGR reports that the next nexus device will be a lte at&t device with a 720p display, dual core clocked at 1.5 or 1.2 gz and will come will Android 4.0 ice cream sandwhich. The camera is only 5 mp but is beleived to be advanced and shoot very good pics. Hopefully it is made by HTC. It is expected in november to be the premere device for at&t. This device seems worthy of a replacement of my inspire.

If it's nexus I don't think it can be made by HTC because nexusbis made by Google... but I honestly don't think this is real because lte devices are not coming out for ATT for a while. 2013ish

According to AT&T's website LTE is coming out this year:
"AT&T began trials of LTE in 2010 and we plan to launch LTE commercially in 2011."

So, you are really mistaken.
The Nexus One was made by HTC.
The current Nexus S is made by Samsung.
Google does not actually build any phones.

LTE is being released in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Atlanta and Chicago this Summer.
New devices will roll out this summer as well.

they will have LTE devises this year, 2013 is when they hope to cover their current 3G footprint with LTE

I can't wait! As an at&t employee, if this is true, then that is my next company phone! Can NOT wait to get rid of the Atrix!

That would be a tough decision!!!! If the phone isn't the Holiday.......... Do I get the holiday, or say the next Nexus which was rumored to possibly LG??? Can't wait for that decision, I will get one and get the other for my wife, then switch back and forth!!!

I get them as part of my corporate discount. But I paid full price for my Inspire, so I am still eligible for an upgrade.

On my first line they are 12 months (mine, of course ). My other 4 lines take about 16 months.

Same here! I can't seem to figure how some of my Verizon buds can keep a phone for 2 years............. Plus I use my wife's upgrade every once and while when I am bored.

If does get LTE, I say it is a toss up between Verizon and ATT. I would initially think it would be Verizon, as they have not had a Nexus device yet. Then again, neither has ATT except as unlocked devices. They might initially release it on Verizon, then turn around and release it for ATT. Either way, it would be a "killer" LTE device for either carrier, if not both.

I imagine you meant "sells" instead of "sales"....
That's a very subjective question. One persons gem is another persons POS.
If you look at it in terms of hardware specs, price etc...the Sensation, G2X, Galaxy 4G...
Again though...that's if you like touchscreen devices with Android.

I remember the first time I saw a guy with a star tac. I stopped him and asked to see it. Then I asked him how much it cost. I remember my jaw dropping when he said $1000. Can you believe that phone was over $1000 when it FIRST came out?? The first carrier to have it was bell Atlantic (now verizon)
I was 20 then, so that was almost 16 years ago

$1000? he got a deal then.
I paid $1500 for the Microtac elite... and that was WITH contract.
(elite was the top of the line model that came out literally 3 months before the startec. it had the capability of answering machine. a whole 30 seconds... state of the art in it's day. lol!)

It's a downgrade in hardware. But I guess its down to whether you like IOS or Android. I can tell you my brother has an iPhone 4 and is jealous of my inspire.

I can tell you that I was a long time iPhone user and had a iPhone 4 that I sold to get my inspire and I'm happy with my decision.
IMO, you could sell that iPhone and get a better newer phone as the inspire great as it is, is still old hardware.

Hey an2ane, this is an HTC Inspire Developmental forum. It isn't here for discussion of whether to trade your phone for an iphone. It isn't here for you to ask what the sucessor of the Inspire will be. And as you already found out by your first thread being closed by a moderator, it isn't here to talk about your upgrade. There are already enough of these useless threads on this forum.
What this forum is for is to discuss the development of the HTC Inspire. So if you want to root, install custom ROMs, aid in the development of these custom ROMs, theme, customize, discuss issues, or discover apps to do things with this phone then please utilize this forum to it's fullest.

According to DroidLife it looks like Motorola is keeping their hands mostly off ICS. Yes, it'll have Blur, but it looks like it'll be slightly less Blur than we're use to seeing.
Of course this is for the Razr, but the Blur versions on the Atrix 2 and the Razr are pretty similar, so this could be a good sign.
I don't find the Blur on the Atrix 2 to be all that bad, and my phone seems to perform just fine with it.

I think people need to stop *****ing about blur. If you don't like it, you shouldn't of bought a Motorola phone. That is my opinion.

Their Gingerbread release for the Atrix and Atrix 2 wasn't really all that bad at all. Not a whole lot of blur going on. Relax man. That whole thing seems to be in the process of being phased out. What we have now seems more true to plain old Android than say Samsung's Touchwiz, or all that weird **** that LG piles on top of their phones.
