Then read and follow this thread which is a aimed at this exactly.

You will need the new hboot if you want to use the latest stock kernel that provides (as they say) better speed and performance. The proxusers's v0.6 that supports the new hboot (not the v0.6 patch witch uses Unity v4 kernel) is still buggy so I suggest to wait a bit. The other ROM that supports the new hboot is the one from biglsd - it is almost without changes (stock like).
Which one to use is up to you
EDIT: Today I flashed the new kernel to use with your ROM - the proxuser's original 2.3.5 (which comes with unity v4 kernel) and it behaves quite good. If you like you can give it a shot with the procedure described in the thread provided by ben_pyett above.

after I read the article........update hboot is a little truble for me,so let me study how to update !!!

Download and install Android SDK (Google it or search in the forum). This will give you the adb command. The rest is to follow the steps...

[Q] How to flash new ENG Hboot and new sense 3.0?

Hi All,
Firstly i assure you i've googled and searched the forums and cant find anything specific like a guide to flashing new hboots.
I currently have alpha revx hboot 6.98.1002 and would like to put the upgraded eng hboot so i can put the new stock sense 3.0 rom that proxuser has just released.
I cant post in the development section (nooob!) so need to write here.
Can i flash the eng hboot over my alpharevX hboot? If so, will i need to re-flash my current virtuous ROM??
Thank you!
no need for that hboot...
just wipe all, flash proxuser's rom, then the Unity v4 kernel from in post #2.
Your phone is s-off or s-on?

Someone help me find a ROM for my outdated phone!

Hey guys, first time poster long time lurker. I've run into a little problem with my outdated Mytouch 3g by HTC. I need to find a ROM that works, hell if you guys can link me the stock 2.2.1 for my kernel I'd be happy as ever. Here's my phone information
PVT 32A
HBOOT- 1.33.0013
RADIO-2.22.28.25
T-Mobile Mytouch 3.5mm
Any help is appreciated. Trying to get my phone running by morning lol.
Anyone? I've been searching for hours and I still can't come up with anything.
Why don't you check the section in the forums for your phone... or Google search?
Nexus S (GSM i9020a)
Kangy - Haka (11)
Eugene's Kernel (Speedy 7)
OC 1100/100 (ondemmandx)
I've tried and I found ginger Yoshi. I've tried everything from flashing 1.5 32A to 32A new radio. I even flashed the 32A kernel still nothing I can't find out that lets my phone boot. Seems I have a bad matched Radio/Kernel. If it was 32B with my radio which the ginger yoshi post states I could install.
I don't know what to do.

There you go
why don't you use the official ICS 4.0.4 rom?
and if you are concern about the Arabic support, I made a patch to add Arabic to the official rom, the patch will:
-Add full Arabic support to UI.
-Add the original HTC Arabic keyboard and remove Thai & Japanese keyboard.
-Fix the crash when open links (in WhatsApp and others).

Dont install ics, it has a few bugs. And in order to eliminate those bugs you would have to root it, which would void your newly bought phone's warranty, if u have it.
But on gingerbread u can root your phone while maintaining your warranty.
ps:ya the desire s is my first android phone too coming from 4 nokia phones(2 are symbian).

If you have the STOCK ROM backed up somewhere (gingerbread 2.3.3) re-flash it and than go to software update setting and do an update check than it should update to 2.3.5 gingerbread...at least it did for me...

S-OFF questions & Custom ROM [Ville C2]

Hey there guys. I wast interested these day to flash my phone a custom rom. i have it for almost a year and was interested to flash a new rom. i'm not new to these things but i do have some questions and if you guys can help me
1. What's the advantage if i S-OFF the phone? because i read that after you flash the rom in TWRP you have to flash from fastboot the boot.img and that's kind of unusual since on my htc hero and hp touchpad i didn't do that
2.I am interested in flash a MIUI rom of a CM 10.1 or maybe 10.2 since it's out and a lot of things are working, are these ones working or they still got major problems ?
3.I need to rely on my phone for every day use, so compared to the current software that the phone has, are there any better roms or is it better to remain stock ?
-i don't use my phone to play on it, just mails, music, reading and anything else, besides playing.
Thanks for the help in advance, Stefan
Hi,
1 preferably S-OFF is to install custom ROM without a computer (fastboot)
2 All Sense ROM are useful for daily use CM ROMs have problems with the camera (quality photos), MIUI ROM contains only English and Chinese language.

Thanks the response.
So the S-OFF gives me access to directly flash the boot image from the .zip file without req a pc, that's good news. Did you had a chance to test the MIUI rom with the last update or other versions? As i said before, i need a rom that is in good condition, fast, no bloatware and no bugs
PS: i only use the phone in english so there is no problem with the language part.
Stefan
MIUI I tried the previous version and I had no lack of language (I can not speak English)
Luxandroid v4 ROM is my favorite places I've very satisfied. What HBOOT do you have?

thnx for the answer
hboot 2.16
i prefer to Sense Roms. others is really useless for me.
yes s-off and super cid.
and i am confused. roms, kernels, boot, hboot, cid , s-off, firmwares , interface differences... bla bla bla
liberty rom is stable and very likely. even also 4.3v. my purposes is; i installed the rom but what i need to do else ? or this is it. thats mean libery rom v7 installed, s-off, hboot 2.16 enough. no any things

Roms : You said it you want Liberty rom (Sense 5.5). If I may, I advise you to have a look on MaximusHD (Sense 5)
Kernel (=boot.img) : There is actually no custom kernel available for Liberty, so nothing to add here.
hboot (=bootloader) : You are on 2.16, Liberty is compatible with both 2.15 and 2.16, so you have nothing to change here. I would had that most of AOSP based roms are made for 2.15, while almost all Sense (5 and 5.5) roms are made/compatible with 2.16. You want a Sense rom so stay on 2.16.
S-OFF/CID : I think you know what's the aim of having superCID and S-OFF or you wouldn't have done all that.
Radio : It manages wireless communication of your device : 2G, 3G, HSPA, even Wifi. If wrong radio is used with wrong rom, it results in bad signal quality, wifi issues or/and random reboots.
If your Radio is actually 1.20, with Liberty rom you probably don't have access to HSPA. You can actually fix it by flashing this radio through recovery.
