If you guys are looking for a decent turn-based strategy game you can grab Uniwar HD for free off of the Amazon app store today. If you want to take a look at a quick overview/review you can check out the link here.
If you want to go directly to the Amazon Store here's the link for the application.
It's a pretty fun game that will remind you of mobile strategy games for other mobile consoles and platforms. Fortunately, the game looks pretty good even on a 10" screen. For free, it's a pretty great game (considering it's normally $5 on the Play Store).
You can check out some of my screenshots below (taken on the Note in portrait, but the game also scales perfectly for landscape).
Asynchronous multiplayer means turn-based multiplayer gameplay where the players can play their turn whenever it's convenient without a short-term time limit. It's similar to a digital version of play-by-mail.
I couldn't find many android games with asynchronous multiplayer, so I started this list. I hope you can help by posting more games or additional information you want to see in the list.

anyone know how to mod songpop for unlimited coins and such?
Have you even tried searching for it? Google gives me a lot of promising results. But before you do, do you really need to cheat on your friends who earn their coins and playlists by playing fair? I buy about one new playlist every one or two weeks by just playing with a few regulars.

Here is our list of the best multiplayer games of 2012: http://tech-trip.com/android/top-charts/best-multiplayer-games-2012/
Quizkampen (only in swedish)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=se.feomedia.quizkampen.premium
But as it is in swedish it might not fit on the list
Amazed that there's no hearts or spades multiplayer.
@rezapatel: Does any of your games actually have asynchronous multiplayer? I didn't see any mention of it.
@Slipurson: Sure it fits the list. Sweden deserves games, too.
Added the following:
BattleFriends at Sea
Quizkampen (thanks, Slipurson)
Spellwood: Word Game Adventure

Yeah we sure do deserve games, thanks for adding, but the link to the free version is not quite right, its a link to the app that should tell me when Quizkampen was released, and now its used to send in questions that you want added to the app, so sadly there is only a paid version of the game.

AnDGS
It's an Android client for an asynchronous Go server, Dragon Go Server.
(Still too "new" to post link to the Play store, sorry)
Edit:
I just found another asynchronous Go client; Online Go. It connects to OGS, another asynchronous Go server.
@Slipurson: Thanks for correcting that. I didn't bother to translate the text and just assumed it was a free version.
I also added anDGS and Online Go. Thanks, LocoRon.
I have released my very first Android application called HTML5 Games Club on the Google Play Store. Here you can play games provided by well-known HTML5 game distributors like Famobi, GamePix, HTMLGames, TreSensa and Spil Games.
The application is available on the Google Play Store.

This game first started as a weekend-project for a low-res game jam. We then liked the outcome so much, we decided to further develop it into a full-grown game and publish it.
If you have any questions about the game or the development process - feel free to ask!
Since we are 3 Indie developers doing this in their free time, we don't have the resources to do a broad marketing campaign. So it would be really nice if you could try the game and let us know what you think - either here on XDA or via Review in the app stores.
Thank you and enjoy!
Since this is a Dev-Forum you might want to know that the app was fully done in unity. I did, however, write some Android plugins to handle native stuff. Mainly because we are supporting the Amazon platform as well - and Amazon discontinued any Unity support a couple of years ago...
